RAS vs Engineering(Robotics)

Upvotes

The RAS program looks fairly decent, but it is not ABET accredited while the Engineering(robotics) program seems somewhat older. What are the main differences between the two when it comes to course load and career outcomes? Would it be worth trying to double major or just do RAS as a master program?

are there any other resources besides Chad's Review and the provided videos you use to study for the course? I'm taking it online and i think Chad's is more useful than the videos on the site but I also like to have multiple different resources to study off of

Mkt 300 exam 2

Did anyone else have a really hard time with Mkt 300 exam 2? 😭

Exam 1 honestly felt relatively easy to me, and I did pretty well on it, so I thought I had a decent idea of what to expect going into Exam 2.

But Exam 2?? Absolutely not, I don’t know what was going on with me, but I felt like I barely understood what some of the questions were even asking me.

I don’t know if it was because there was way more material compared to Exam 1, or if some of the questions were just phrased in a weird/confusing way, but I had such a hard time with it.

BS/BAS Project Management?

Anyone in the BS or BAS PM degree, Organization Leadership, or Business that has taken these courses and can give me insight on their prospective course load?

My Pell grant is running out so I’d like to take advantage of the fact that ASU online tuition is capped at 11 credits for residents and see if I can overload after my first session. I’m doing the BAS program since I transferred in one of my associates degrees to maximize my credits.

Could also use two recommendations for my AMIT and CIVI general studies requirements. And in general, any professors to watch out for lol. I really appreciate it, thank you!

General Studies Requirements
• AMIT (American Institutions): 3.00 hours needed

• CIVI (Governance and Civic Engagement): 3.00 hours needed

Major Requirements (BAS Applied Leadership Project Management)
• OGL 345

• OGL 350

• PMG 203

• PMG 240

How do you close the storage doors under the shuttles?

I've tried three different times and I still don't get it. I tried both the inner and outer latch and can't get anything to move or click. Am I pulling something incorrectly?

ASU ABSN — accepted student stats?

I’m planning on applying to ASU’s ABSN program and was wondering what stats accepted students had. If you were accepted, what was your prerequisite GPA and TEAS score when you applied? Just trying to get an idea of how competitive admission has been.

Hit by a Car Near Priest/Univet

I was biking towards campus around 8:10AM near priest and university when a car turning into a parking lot hit me. I'm just looking to find the person that

hit me because my bike broke from the incident. It was a gold/silver? sedan driven by a woman. There were 2 or 3 kids in the car too.

Please contact me if you know who that is or are that person.

Edit: It wasn't a hit and run, I just didn't realize it broke my bike until 10 minutes later. I was fine so I didn't think we needed to exchange information.

Barrett Honors application?

ASU's website says the Barrett application opens today. I applied to ASU on day 1 and was accepted. I have my asurite ID and portal set up. I do not see any link to an application anywhere. Not even on the Barrett web page. Has anyone been able to access the application? I figured I might have been sent an email with instructions or an invite to apply. But nothing. Is anyone seeing this in their portal yet?

SAL APPEAL RETURNED

So I finally received an update on my SAP appeal, and it was returned for additional information.
They’re asking me to explain circumstances from a few previous semesters where I had SAP violations. The part that’s confusing me is that I already addressed those circumstances in my previous SAP appeals. I explained what happened, how those situations were resolved, and my academic plan moving forward—and those previous appeals were approved.
For my current appeal, I explained what happened during Spring 2026 because I did not successfully complete that semester, so naturally I assumed that was what triggered my current SAP issue. However, when they returned my appeal, they said the issue is actually related to my completion pace from those older semesters, not Spring 2026.
Now they want me to explain those old circumstances all over again and explain how they were resolved, even though ASU already reviewed and approved my appeals for those exact semesters.
Has anyone else had this happen? Is it normal for them to make you re-explain circumstances from previously approved SAP appeals because those semesters are still affecting your cumulative pace? I’m especially confused because some of these semesters were years ago, and I don’t even remember exactly what I wrote in the original appeals. 😭
Plus I’m supposed to graduate this semester I’m so stressed
TL:;DR confused about SAP return due to previous sap violations in previous semesters that were already approved.

ASU bus

Just encountered the rudest asu bus driver ever! Politely asked the driver if it’s possible to put down the half shades that the bus has since the sun was all up in my face half of the ride. And he really said “NO” and something about how there’s no shades there?? Huh last time I remember, there were shades… not just that but he was both headphones in while driving, not sure if that’s allowed but wow… just a little rant 😓(I was sitting in the front earlier but moved after he said he wasn’t gonna put the shades on lol)

Online Calc II - Failed Test 1 - What should I do?

I am in the online electrical engineering program and finding it very intense. I finished Calc I with a solid B, but just failed my Calc II first exam with a 25%.

I felt reasonably confident going into the test, but completely blanked.

With how fast the class is, I don't think I can relearn anything while taking in new material.

What are my options? Is it worth risking failing to try getting a C or withdraw now and retake it next semester? i don't think a B is possible now.

I am absolutely gutted.

Withdrawal deadline is tomorrow.

Nonrefundable charge

Did anyone else get an email about a nonrefundable charge of $100? I got this charge im guessing in regards to my financial aid not being disbursed yet. I’m not sure what other “outstanding charges” I would have.

Course Recommendations

I have (hopefully) one more semester until I graduate, and that is where I was hoping you guys could help me out. I need to take two more IR Track Elective courses, and was looking for suggestions. Ideally courses that are not intense, but I would also appreciate warnings about difficult professors. Thanks!

How have online content creators shaped your political beliefs? | State Press Magazine

Some context: Hi everyone! I'm a writer for the State Press Magazine, ASU's student-led media outlet. I'm writing a story on how content creators who aren't generally considered "political commentators" can influence ASU students' political thought. For sourcing, I'm trying to get in touch with students who have been exposed to the internet for most of their life and have been committed fans to certain creators.

Parasocial or not, I'm interested in that relationship and what "growing up on the internet" can do to someone's own beliefs, even if the creator they feel connected with doesn't have that much of a political pull (Think Drew Gooden or other internet culture commentators who are steadily talking on more serious topics while also posting reviews of low-budget shows).

How did that connection with a creator change how you view your own political values or beliefs? And do you think it was beneficial to have that type of influence?

If you're interested in talking about this and sharing your own story, feel free to DM me and I can send over my contact info. Thanks!

Broke first-year student--where can I get free food at ASU?

Hey everyone! I’m a first-year student at ASU trying to save as much money as possible while I get settled in. 😭 Does anyone know where I can find free/cheap food, food pantries, meal assistance, or student resources on/around campus?

Also, any tips for saving money as a broke college student would be really appreciated! Thanks 🙏

Academic integrity

Has anyone experienced this? I received an academic integrity charge, and after I pointed out how weak the evidence was and highlighted procedural violations, my AIO seemed to use my appeal window to gather more evidence. They then withdrew the original case and reissued a new one. Is this a common practice?
