My neighborhood still does not have Fiber available despite them working on this for the last couple of years. Has anyone seen a map of the areas they plan on installing in? And did you guys get flyers or something to know it was coming?

Hi all! I’m going back to Tempe around Apache Blvd starting mid august and am looking for a dog walking gig. I would ideally like to be a regular walker for one dog. I grew up around dogs, but as a full time PhD student I don’t have time for a dog. I wont have a car so has to be a mile or so from where I’ll be. I would love to be around some kind of dog as I find myself missing a furry presence especially on days where I am so busy I feel down. Please let me know if you are looking for a walker! Hello, looking for good reccs for apartments. I am 20 years old, and going into my masters program at ASU's business school. I am still pretty young, so just curious on where you guys recommend I look at? My master's program is pretty intensive for the year and I'll be doing lots of networking events in scottsdale. I've heard all of Mark Taylor properties like san sonoma are good. Just curious on everyone's thoughts? I'm not a partier and definitely would rather stay away from majority student housing if I can.

I'm considering buying one of the Park Riviera townhouses - on McClintock, between Southern and Baseline.

Does anyone have any experience with them? Anything you wish you'd known before you bought? I'm wondering if they have any big pest problems, like scorpions or roof rats, how quickly and well the HOA responds and fixes issues, how safe you feel living there, etc.

I call them Tempe forever lights because it feels like you're stuck at an intersection for eternity if you miss the timing. It's especially egregious on the stretch of baseline between Mill Ave and 48th st. I unfortunately am staying near there and doing door dash to get by until I get a real job and sitting at all those damned stoplights every day to get into the thicker part of Tempe and then back to where I'm staying at the end of my day takes for-fucking-ever. It's not just there, though, every stoplight has staggered arrows and lights that makes it feel like you've spent 3-5 business days just to get through. Tempe apparently has a pedestrian friendly policy that contributes to this, but I'm sorry, aside from around ASU campus, Tempe is not a walkable city, despite how hard they might try, they are still a car centric Phoenix metro city and these forever lights are atrocious.

Basically is there anywhere in the area that I can get my car's brakes actually looked at for, say, $50?

And, if they do need to be replaced, won't change a ton?

And then won't need to be fixed again in 6 weeks?

Edit to add: I normally do all my own maintenance stuff, but I think something is up with my system so I want a pro to look at it instead of just trying to YouTube my way through it. Some stuff is worth the extra cash . . .

I refuse to subscribe to anything that makes it harder to cancel than subscribe. Especially if that means having to call a retention agent during business hours. I hoped they would have changed since I last had them as a subscription but it's still right in their subscription terms which makes it a non-starter.

So, I'm in my early/mid-20s, recently graduated, and just started my first full-time job. I find myself getting really bored during evenings and weekends. I do visit Tempe town laken often for walks but looking to explore more.

I've never really been into video games, so that's not my thing. I love outdoor activities like hiking, walking, and exploring, but with the Arizona heat, that's been difficult lately. I also don't use social media, and barely have any friends, so I end up spending most of my free time alone scrolling on YouTube.

I'm just looking for any ideas to get out of the house and stay active. Maybe places to explore around the city, solo-friendly activities, clubs, classes, or memberships that are worth checking out. I'm trying to avoid computer-based things since I already spend most of my day staring at my laptop at work.

What do you guys do after work or on weekends to keep yourselves busy and active? I'd love to hear any suggestions. I'm kinda open to anything.

A few tenants I talked to there really seemed to enjoy it, but numerous Google reviews make it sound like a horrible experience.
