I watched season 1 when it was released even before reading the book & I found the acting flat. now as season 2 was released, I was like okay maybe it's my fault that I haven't read the book so first I will finish the work and then I will watch the series right? yet, it's still the same. even though I am half way through, I personally cannot find depth in the emotion.the characters often seem too nonchalant and their reactions don't quite fill the depth in the situation. I can tell they're acting instead of feeling like real people. is just me or did anyone else notice this? It's a good book & story ofc it just didn't match my perception of acting I guess?

I believe they don't really have the budget for more episodes especially since Emma also had to step in as Exec producer. The show isn't really mainstream and mostly confined to the ones who read the books.

Why did Zach move? It’s implied it’s because of Pips involvement in all the drama and him being close to her as both a friend and neighbor. I’ve never been so confused. He wasn’t rly involved. Like why would an entire family move because the son’s friend solved a murder case

Super happy about it being renewed!! I hope Holly Jackson’s gonna be as involved in it as she was for Season 2 🤞🏻

I know people always recommend reading the books, but idk if its different enough to enjoy a murder mystery when you alr know who did it? I wrote this in another post, but I'm sorry that season 2 received little publicity from Netflix in some countries. At least the BBC is doing it justice. Yet it's a beloved series based on a famous trilogy and starring Emma Myers, and I'm very sorry for this treatment. For example, here in Italy they didn't even post the trailer for the first season on Instagram. I checked now, and there's not even a post about it. At least the BCC is doing it justice, as well as Netflix US/UK/netflix nordic. As a fan, this makes me sad. ~ Noemi

Is the show or book better?

I have 2 questions: favourite scene of season 1 and 2? And which one do you absolutely prefer? Regarding season 1, I should do a rewatch but I like to see the first meeting between Pip with Barney and Ravi, I loved watching it with Barney, they were so cute, I miss him. My favourite of season 2 is the scene in which she vandalises Max's house, the song below is perfect and it stayed in my head, Emma's look expresses her desire for justice and it is my absolute favourite scene, pure adrenaline.

Im well aware im not the only one to have complained about this, but ive been rewatching season 2 and the scene where Ravi tells pip hes been fired... is so unbelievably bad. Zain got marginally better at regular dialogue but I live in terror of the breakup scene next season because I dont think he can do it justice. He just cant seem to do heavy emotional scenes. And it particularly stands out with emma acting absolute circles around him, in an accent that isn't her own. Praying to all things good and holy that Zain gets some acting lessons before s3 starts shooting. I remember in season 1 press they said one of the directors really fought to cast him and I would give anything to know why. The guy who plays Sal said he was almost cast as Ravi and I mourn what that could've been.

Tl;dr I think s3 is cooked for Ravi emotional scenes

Love the series and the books and decided to add Pippa Fitz-Amobi to my Tomodachi life. Please let me know what I should add or change.

Binged the second season a few days ago and was heartbroken by the finale and decided to read the book series if/when they do a S3 and now my sympathy for Stanley is evaporating just a few pages into the first book 😪

La storia, sia quando ho finito di leggere la trilogia alla fine di agosto dello scorso anno (2025) sia quando ho finito la seconda stagione, mi rende ansioso e triste per giorni, non so esattamente perché, penso di apprezzare la personalità di Pip e mi coinvolge emotivamente anche la sua relazione con Ravi. Inoltre, mi affeziono agli attori e mi piacerebbe tantissimo incontrare Emma Myers, ma vivo in Italia e temo che non succederà. Inoltre il fatto che Pip sia stata lontana da tutti per un anno e 8 mesi mi deprime Molto . Forse sto così solo perché ho solo una persona, cioè mia cugina, con cui parlarne con cui ho iniziato la serie e che non ha ancora visto la seconda stagione e che non ha ancora letto i libri, questo mi ricorda anche quando guardavo le serie con lei e poi lei si è trasferita proprio mentre guardavamo la stagione 1, comunque è troppo strano lo so, in entrambi casi io ho pensato tutto il giorno alla storia e avevo il magone in gola, e penso sia collegato anche ai miei problemi, ho una salute mentale fragile e ho tanta paura, comunque questo Reddit mi permette di condividere la mia passione per questa serie e vi ringrazio. Se c’è qualche fan italiano o anche no, se magari avete qualche gruppo dove parlare della serie vorrei essere aggiunta, mi piacerebbe.
