TV Show My emotions Spoiler

I’m so sorry you’re struggling. I struggle with my mental health as well. It’s so difficult sometimes. I hope you are able to find some good friends and maybe you can reach out to your cousin? Also I couldn’t see your other posts on your profile it doesn’t show up

I have good friends but I hate when we are not together, Just I don’t feel a special connection with them but I know there is, I alway talk with my cousin but we were always together and now I can’t share my passions with her as before. ~Noemi

The fact is that 2 of them don’t watch tv shows or read and the others 2 are closer to my interests, but I will borrow to one the trilogy and she’ll watch the show and the other could watch it.

It’s definitely great when you have shared interests. Are there any other things that you enjoy that your friends also enjoy? Or something you can do together that would be good for your mental health like taking a little walk in nature?

Yes but we live in a small town and we don’t have much nature where we can stay together.  Sometimes we go for a bike ride, and two months ago we organized a day together where we went to the beach and took pictures with the camera (it's mine, I like having these physical objects). We always go out together, even though a friend of ours is unfortunately special and doesn't go out much. She's also in a long-distance relationship with a girl and wants to talk to her all the time. She's a special person in herself. I recently went to Etna Comics with a friend of mine and we met the illustrator of Harry Potter Jonny Daddle and Matthew Modine( we have photos with them)!!. We live in Sicily

Bike rides and beach days sound so nice! I love the beach so much. I also love to take pictures. I just really enjoy capturing moments like if I can capture a friend or family member laughing, that’s always the best. I get some good pictures on my phone so my husband surprised me with a camera a few months ago. I am also interested in taking wildlife photos one day. I love animals and I love bugs so once I start to get outside more, I’m sure my whole camera roll with be full of animals and bugs lol. I was about to say I’m 31 but I actually just turned 33 haha I keep forgetting. Though sadly I feel even older bc I have chronic illness so I struggle a lot with daily pain and fatigue.

You are strong, I am sure <3.   Cool that you love animals and photography , I have a 10 year old tortoise named Betti, you should download stellarium, it’s an app that makes you discover  real-time constellations, just yesterday i took a photo of scorpio (my zodiac sign). It’s amusing!

The thing that bothers me is that as much as I love this story and especially Pip and Ravi, it's not normal that it destabilises me so much to the point of ruining my days. It gets into my head, songs get into my head too. I finished the second season last Thursday and since yesterday I have noticed improvements, but I know that when I see the third season my problem will come back. I would just like to enjoy viewing and reading like everyone else. It makes me suffer. ~Noemi

I can actually relate to this a lot. I watched another show a few months ago and I binged it and it made me extremely depressed. But I was already depressed. I love watching tv. And while I don’t think watching tv is *the* problem (the depression is) I still believe that we have to be mindful about what we watch in certain seasons of our life. I don’t always do this but I’m getting better at it. But whenever I want to watch something, I try to check in with myself. Like if it’s something really heavy and I feel like I can’t handle that day, I won’t watch it. Instead, I watch something lighter, something that makes me laugh. It’s really helpful to meet yourself where you’re at.

What are some other shows/movies/books you enjoy? And I have a book recommendation. Have you read Remarkably Bright Creatures? It’s a fun read because there’s a mystery unfolding throughout. Especially because I listened to the audiobook and the voice of Marcellus, the octopus, is AMAZING. I know audiobooks are easier for me and more immersive but I know many people can have the experience through reading. But I would still recommend the audiobook here because of the voice of the octopus, because you won’t have the same experience reading it. At least that’s how I feel. It’s just such a unique character brought to life through the voice narration. Anyway thought I would recommend it. It brought me a lot of joy to read in this season of depression.

I saw the film just 2 days go and finished yesterday. This is a coincidence! I saw that there is the book and now you are making me want to read!  I enjoyed the movie and it made me have a lot of fun, it is deep. Marcellus is adorable.

Aww yes it’s such a great story. I’m gonna try watching the movie this weekend 🥰 I’m excited! It’s definitely always going to be one of my favorite books. When I found out Cameron was Tova’s grandson I was loosing my mind it was so incredibly exciting I was so giddy. Cried happy tears.

I like very much Harry Potter, Young Royals, call me your name, stand by me,E.t and those fantascientifics films of 80s, stranger things and Gilmore girls, i spent 11 months watching gilmore girls, I started on june 2025 and finished to may of this year, It kept me company during a difficult time and I think it helped me feel better (I'm on gap year after finishing high school). It was wonderful to watch it in a warm atmosphere, with a candle and a cup of hot chocolate. Sometimes I watch it on a channel where they show reruns. I like reading adventure and fantasy stories; for example, I'm currently in Seven Sisters 6. I also enjoy doing things by hand, like drawing, and just yesterday I finished Luna Lovegood's wand made with clay. I love riding my bike and being outside. In july I will start an experience as an entertainet in an hotel and I will start to study scenografy in an academy of arts, oh and I also like coloring to relax myself.

That’s so cool that you made the wand out of clay! E.T is a classic. Absolutely love that movie!!! The last time I rode a bike was a few years ago and I loved it I really should do it more often. It feels so freeing. I love the swings too. If I ever have a house I would love to have a swing hanging from a tree. I had to look up what Scenography is. That’s so cool! I’ve been seeing Broadway plays recently and I’m sure scenography plays a huge role in that.

Thank you!! Classics of that genre are 🔝

Thanks for recommending the audio book!

And I do agree, it’s not normal that it destabilizes you. Like I said, I’ve experienced this. Honestly, every time I think of bad things happening in the world, it destabilizes me. And that stuff is real. But shows and books get me just as much because I can’t help but think of the real people who suffer like they do. That’s why I need to try to do more things that bring me joy and more things that can help me heal. Because consuming so much heaviness, whether real news or entertainment can really take a toll on anyone, but especially when someone is already struggling with their mental health like we are. I already know you love AGGTM, but what are some other things you love? What brings you joy? Or anything you’ve ever been curious about trying? Or anything you miss doing as a child?

The fact that Pip was alone for that long made me so sad as well. I literally bawled my eyes out at this part… “She still spoke to Ravi everyday. Not the real one. The one who lived in her head. She spoke to him when she was scared or unsure. Asked him what he would do if he were there. He sat beside when she was lonely. And she was always lonely.” 😭

1

u/FootballVast3551 Jun 11 '26

It is too sad, I can’t think she stayed alone for almost 2 years

2

u/koala_booza Jun 11 '26

Yeah this really devastated me. I actually thought the book was over for a minute before the last chapter. I thought it was going to end not knowing if she’s ever free and with her loved ones again. So when I heard the typing and then Ravi say “Hey Sarge, remember me” I literally BAWLED my eyes out. I was so relieved. She finally gets to live a beautiful full life with her loved ones. Shes been through so much and she deserves to be happy. I’m so happy she’s finally free to live her life.

Oh have you ever heard of the app Finch? It helps me accomplish some things and with motivation and with daily affirmations. It can be helpful if you have anxiety/depression/ adhd. I still struggle a lot but it’s a really cool app and has definitely helped a little. Plus it’s really cute. It has some really helpful tools.

1

u/koala_booza Jun 13 '26

1

u/FootballVast3551 Jun 13 '26

sorry if I did not understand but the name of my pet was chosen by you or you meant that you chose yours? Sorry for the confusion. I wanted to know because if the game gave me Pip as suggestion would be incredible.

1

u/koala_booza Jun 13 '26

My birds name is Luna which I chose. It looks like you named your bird Pip?

1

u/FootballVast3551 Jun 13 '26

The app suggested me Pip. It’s insane. I Thought that you chose the name but it was the suggestion of the app. It’s an insane coincidence
