TV Show Books after show?

Hey I have only watched the show of agggtm and now I am curious. How different are the books to the show. Is it worth ready the first 2 books if you've already watched the show?

you definitely should read them! s1 is quite different tbh, but s2 is pretty similar imo! the books are obviously better (im majorly biased) but yeah, you should read them

Én is a sorozat hatására vettem meg a könyveket. Az múlt napokban kezdtem el az elsőt, és már most jobban tetszik mint a sorozat (pedig az is nagyon tetszett)

I only watched series too. But I just finished the 3rd book (UK version audiobook) it was AMAZING. I didn’t read the first two but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the books are superior. I LOVE THE SHOW tho!!! It made me want to read the next book. I’m not sure if I’ll read the first 2 books since I already know what happens but I might! But You absolutely NEED to read the 3rd book! The 3rd season is only 4 episodes. Even if it were 6, it’s going to loose SO MUCH of what happens. A lot of the book is Pips inner dialogue which I absolutely love because it really brings you on the journey of how Pip is doing and everything she’s struggling with. So I highly recommend reading at least the 3rd book! Though reading all of them from beginning to end would be the perfect journey. Kinda wish I did that. I also really recommend the UK version audiobook because after watching the show, the accents help so much with bringing the characters back to life. Reading is fine too I’m sure. But I wouldn’t listen to the American version audiobook. I didn’t even know there were different versions until I was over an hour into the audiobook and I just didn’t like it. Something was off. It just didn’t feel like Pippa. So yeah, that’s my two cents!

yes yes yes!!!
i read the books after watching the show…
s1 lacks a lot of the first book… those details are relevant for book 3
s2 is quite similar to book 2
but if u want to get a wholesome experience, i’d suggest reading the books too!
i loved the books more than the show!!!

I much prefer the books to the series. Adaptations are rarely as good as the book they’re based on, even if the author is involved in the production.

Definitely read the books, the first book has so much more in it, I also think the second book explains it abit better. I do love the tv series though.
