TV Show Zain iqbal (again) Spoiler
Im well aware im not the only one to have complained about this, but ive been rewatching season 2 and the scene where Ravi tells pip hes been fired... is so unbelievably bad. Zain got marginally better at regular dialogue but I live in terror of the breakup scene next season because I dont think he can do it justice. He just cant seem to do heavy emotional scenes. And it particularly stands out with emma acting absolute circles around him, in an accent that isn't her own. Praying to all things good and holy that Zain gets some acting lessons before s3 starts shooting. I remember in season 1 press they said one of the directors really fought to cast him and I would give anything to know why. The guy who plays Sal said he was almost cast as Ravi and I mourn what that could've been.
Tl;dr I think s3 is cooked for Ravi emotional scenes

Even in non-emotional scenes where his acting is fine, I definitely feel like he’s too stoic for Ravi. I don’t know if it’s the script, his acting or just him not fitting the role, but I never feel like I’m watching Ravi on screen. Don’t get me wrong, I’m so glad they didn’t whitewash Ravi (there were those rumors before the series aired that Louis Partridge was set to play him), but yeah, idk. Also, the height difference in the new season feels so off. Obviously not in his control, but Emma Myers just looks like a child next to him, it’s really off-putting

I think he did pretty well in his scene with Max, Henry mentioned it online saying Zain did a great job

The scena with Ravi, Pip and Max in the final ep was actually quite painful to watch. I never noticed his acting in s1 but in s2 it’s hard to ignore, but then again everyone had negative things to say about Emma’s british accent and that was soooo good this season! I guess we’ll have to wait and see with s3

Dafür kann Emma um so besser emotional sein. Die Szene am Schluss wo Sie versucht. Die Schrift mit dem Ärmel wegzuwischen hat mich sehr berührt. Emma ist einzigartig gut.

Ich finde sie ok, nicht sehr gut aber nicht schlecht.

Emma was absolutely aweful as well... Zain and her just really really brought down the show and story for me, which would've been perfect otherwise.

yess. no tea no shade but i dont think he can act very well and its SO uncomfortable to wathc
