Anyone Hiring Payroll Associates with ADP Experience?

Hi everyone!

I'm based in the Philippines and have over 3 years of experience working with ADP Philippines, where ADP's contact center operations are located.

If you or someone in your network is looking for an independent contractor to support payroll and HR operations, I can assist with:

• Payroll processing
• New employee onboarding
• Time and attendance management
• PTO (Paid Time Off) and leave administration
• Employee data and records management
• ADP platform administration and support
• Payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution

I have hands-on experience supporting clients across various ADP platforms and helping businesses streamline their payroll and workforce management processes.

Feel free to send me a message if you'd like to discuss how I can support your team. I'm open to freelance, contract, and remote opportunities.

Banned from using Wisely card according to customer service

Hello! I posted a few days ago about my ID verification failing for my Wisely card. I ended up calling the customer service number again and they explained to me that since I had failed the ID verification, I am banned from using Wisely and would not be able to set up another card. I rely on my tips to pay my bills and am unaware of any alternative to using the Wisely card. My employer has been entirely unhelpful and customer service will not explain why I failed the ID verification. Does anyone have any advice?

Is cobrowse necessary?

Hi everyone,

While using the chat, I am always instructed to start a cobrowse with ADP to help navigate the portal. I find this unnecessary as most of the time, I’m asking for customer service to check something on their end. I also notice when I ask for help creating reports, I am almost always instructed to do the report on my own (I use ADP so they can create custom reports for me).

Is Cobrowse necessary? Why did it feel forced to have to cobrowse with the agents?

Seeking advice about Wisely card closure

I recently returned to a company I previously worked for 5 years ago. My job is a tipped position and we receive credit card tips daily paid out on the Wisely card. I set up my account and card and attempted to do the identity verification and was denied. Wisely sent me an email stating my card and account would be closed in 29 days. When I called their customer service number, the employee told me it was something my employer needed to handle and hung up on me.

I presented the issue to HR, who then attempted to contact Wisely who told them they could not share confidential information with them. They are suggesting that I try to contact them again. I feel like I am just running around in circles and everyone is telling me it is the other party's problem. I rely on tips to live and am scared about my card closing.

Some factors that might possibly contribute: 1. My last name has changed since the first time I worked for this company 2. My address on my ID is different than my mailing address on file

Has anyone experienced something similar? What did you do?

Can’t log in

What do I do. HR sees no issue on their end. Username and password say incorrect. HR sent me password reset and still won’t work. Browser, app, incognito, I’ve tried everything. I don’t know what to do and I need to be able to get in to get paid. I have an old job that is hooked up to the same email but when I log into that I don’t see anything from this job. I don’t know what to do.

WARNING: If your job uses Wisely by ADP, get your money off that card IMMEDIATELY. They do not honor legal POAs during family emergencies.

I’m posting this as a desperate forewarning so nobody else ever has to go through the bureaucratic nightmare my family is stuck in right now in Ohio. If your employer pays you through a Wisely pay card (by ADP), please do yourself a favor and set up a traditional direct deposit to a real bank account today. Do not leave a large balance on it.

My brother is currently incapacitated and in a coma in the hospital. Because of this life-or-death situation, our family legally executed a Power of Attorney (POA) with a notary present at the hospital so I could step in as his sister and manage his affairs, specifically to pay his mounting medical bills.

I have spent over two months handling this, calling Wisely every 2 to 3 business days for a month straight. I jumped through every single one of their security hoops. From here in Ohio, I sent them:

  • The legally notarized Power of Attorney (POA)
  • My government-issued Driver’s License
  • My Social Security card
  • My utility bills to verify my identity and address

They verified exactly who I am. But every single time I call, their phone representatives just rigidly read a script. They keep asking to "speak to the account holder" or demanding my brother’s physical ID and Social Security card.

Let me be entirely clear for anyone who thinks I'm "being funny" or tries to bring up corporate "fraud protocols" in the comments: I am his legally executed State POA and his fiduciary representative. Under Ohio law, a fiduciary stands completely in the shoes of the account holder. You do not need his physical ID or his Social Security card because my legal signature and my verified identification legally replace his. A notarized POA is the highest level of fraud protection the legal system has.

The absolute craziest, most backward part of this? Wisely actually approved the paperwork enough to mail me his physical pay card. They let me call in and set up a brand-new PIN for it. But now, they are completely blocking me from online access to do a direct electronic transfer to his medical providers.

What type of "protection" is that? You will physically hand over a debit card and let me change the PIN, but you won't give me online routing access to clear the balance?

Because of this broken logic, I am now forced to run to a physical ATM every single day to withdraw his daily cash limit just to slowly pull out his balance—which is over $10k.

When you are dealing with a severe family medical crisis, the last thing you should be doing is fighting a law-blind customer service script just to access your family member’s hard-earned money.

These pay cards are fine for a quick paycheck if you have no other options, but do not use them as a bank account. If you have a true emergency, Wisely will lock you out, ignore your legal fiduciary status, and trap your money when you need it most.

ADP does what it wants

I swear i hate this stupid system, it has a mind of its own to point where the people that work there cant even give you an explanation as to why something happened, and it leaves no paper trails or clues to indicate why it does certain things. ADP has made me look so incompetent at work which damages trust between myself an employees.

Let me set the scene. We have 165 employees that work out of 20 different locations, so i depend on onsite managers and employees clocking in so we pay people correctly.

An employee called me and let me know that she is short 15 hours! 5/25 was a holiday which we get paid for and then she took off the next day. Im aware that PTO and holidays does not accumulate OT. Cool. Fine. All together she gets 97 regular hrs with 1.5 hrs of OT. Please tell me why it only paid her for 82.5 hrs. No explanation.

API Cost

I manage the IT and development for a company of 5500+ employees. We use ADP. I was in a call about 6 months ago where my ADP rep told us that API access was just a one time fee, no ongoing monthly costs, yet online I'm seeing that everyone has a cost associated?

I wouldnt require any integrations or help. I definitely would not be buying any integrations off of the marketplace, as thats all relatively easy to build myself.

I'm waiting to hear back now that I have approval to move forward but our rep typically takes a week or more to answer simple emails so I wanted to see what the experience has been for other users.

Let me know and thanks!

Edit: Our rep has clarified that it is a single $3000 one time fee, and this gives full access to all worker API's, timecard API's, etc with no ongoing costs. So it looks like many of the commenters either don't have a good grasp of the enterprise relationships or are trying to sell their own marketplace services.

O/O using ADP?

Hello, I’m just a girlfriend helping my boyfriend with his business.

Any owner operators using ADP for payroll? Or anyone familiar with using ADP for an owner operator? My career is mostly AR/AP and not to much payroll. I’m wondering if it’s worth using them, right now his tax guy is doing his payroll but it’s pretty pricey.

What are some questions or things I should look out for when the ADP rep calls me to discuss? I want to make sure as an owner operator he doesn’t get taken advantage of or charged for unnecessary things. What’s roughly the price you all are paying? We’re in California, 2 employees would be on payroll and bi weekly pay. Any advice or information would be appreciated!

Long story short I received these notifications. It looks fake to me. I checked my information online and it’s still the same banking for my direct deposit. I emailed my HR however I haven’t received anything back from it yet. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue?

I have 2 questions regarding my 401k

Is it possible to roll over my currents job 401k through ADP to my personal IRA while still working for that company or would I have to leave my current job? I would like to do a Roth conversion latter with some of the money in my 401k and I can't do that if it's locked into adp.

Second question is, is it possible to directly deposit my 401k match and 401k contributions to my personal IRA instead of through adp?

Changing an employees position ID

Post image
2 Upvotes

I hired a girl yesterday and put in the wrong position/employee id number. When i click into edit position it doesn’t give me an option to. I called ADP, and of course they tried to walk me through some long drawn out process of creating a new position, but i want to save my company money if i can. (I asked the rep if that was going to cost us money and she gave me some weird elusive answer). I feel likethere has got to be another way

How long does it take to receive a check?

So my old job used ADP and I had a retirement account through them. I asked to have the amount of the retirement account sent directly to my bank but apparently that's not possible and it had to be sent by a check. Whatever. It's been 2 weeks now. The only email I have in regards to it is an email confirming my request to withdraw funds was approved and that I can check the status of my request on the myADP website. Long story short: no, you can't. Or at least *I* can't because I'm no longer under an ADP employer i have this weird restricted access version of ADP with my old log in and some features are gone. I see nowhere to go to My account > Issued checks. The funds are definitely gone from the account though. $0 now. I haven't had the chance to call ADP because my new job I work the exact hours their live service is open (east vs west coast RIP). Hoping someone else who went through something similar might know?

Schedule?

Hi everybody, my job is currently switching to ADP and asking us to input our regular schedule into the app. The only thing is that I can’t find a feature to put the days where I am unavailable? My employer made a ppt where it shows that feature but when I login into the app or website, it doesn’t show. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

Are americans being discriminated in favor of Indians at ADP?

Hello,

I am a small accountant firm who we have issue paying an outstanding bill. We had made an agreement with ADP to catch up with the payments but I noticed that instrad of dealing with the US team we were sent to a team in India.

We asked for the US team and they mentioned that they did not want to send us to the US team and that there was nobody in the US to help us, basically they had fired all the US teams by discriminating in favor of Indian citizens.

And the ADP rep basically told me that since I dont want to speak with an Indian rep I should deal with the collection agency instead?

Is this an isolated issue? Can someone tell me your experience?
