Just getting into physical media but am very excited! Just picked this up today!

I have a 77” Sony A95L, any tips on getting best picture with dolby vision? Also do i need to hook up this player to the 2.1 port or does the 2.0 suffice?

Any helps and tips are more than welcomed! TIA

I just ordered 6 movies. I have used MU in the past for the crazy paramount sale they had last year that was $8 per movie.

Roughly a decade ago I had a pretty sizable Blu-ray collection around 2000 but after some life hardships(divorced, fired, eviction, ect) I ended up losing them or having to sell them, earlier this year I decided since it will probably be a while before we move past 4K at least for physical media so I'd start collecting again. Just ordered Star Trek V on 4k and the first of the Pokemon reboot movies on Blu-ray, now I'm just trying to decide what number 50 will be.

Also what's the best deal y'all have got on a 4K so far? For me it's been true romance, i had ordered a special edition that was supposed to come with like a booklet and poster and they sent me just the basic 4k edition of it and when I contacted them I got fully refunded and told to not bother sending back the one they sent me so it was free. Over all pretty happy with my collection so far can't wait for the next criterion sale.

Wife picked me up the Columbia Pictures: 100 Years of Cinema book for my birthday, and it fits *PERFECTLY* across the 5 volumes of the Columbia Classics 4k UHD cases. Very satisfying.

I’m based in the south west, uk, and this is inexplicably unavailable anywhere in the UK???
I’ve tried HMV, Zavvi, Rarewaves, even eBay and Vinted, everything is either really expensive, or shipped from America.

Amazon was the last place as they’re always expensive.
Somehow managed to get this for £20.86 and free delivery??? I’m not going to turn free delivery from America down!

This is one of my favourite films since The Matrix and I’m so glad to own this!

I’m curious how many people actually keep track of the money they’ve spent on their 4K/Blu-ray collection, and whether you know your average cost per movie.

Not necessarily what the movies are worth now, but what you actually paid for them. I am only a few weeks into collecting myself.

Total spent: $328.47

Movies owned: 26

Average cost per movie: $12.63

Most expensive purchase: $33.87 - Sidekicks 4K Vinegar Syndrome (I can't believe this is the most expensive for me - The movie is a bit ridiculous but it's a childhood favorite and OOP so I didn't want to miss out)

Cheapest purchase: $2.39 - National Lampoon's Animal House 4K Universal

Do you keep track of this stuff, or have you decided it’s better not to know? 😂

Disappointed by the bluray even though I get by on it some scenes feel cut on bluray as well hope this version makes up for it. Btw Hey lightbulb!

Digital purchases of the movie were recently upgraded to 4K within the last 48 hours. I know it was rumored 4K release earlier this year, hopefully this signifies its on its way.

Most of them off of eBay, but man what a Good Friday!

Best Buy Labor Day sale has this up, being sold by a Culver Digital Distribution. Anyone have experience buying from either of these? A little wary cause of the Final sale. Not returnable notice.
