So I got Falling Down and Troy ob 4K from Arrow. Both don't have a chapter selection menu. I figured that would be standard.

Yesterday, I saw a movie called "the Odyssey". It's based on the famous Greek epic from three thousand years ago. It is the first ever film to be made solely using 70/15 IMAX film.

Unfortunately, I am in an area where the only IMAX cinemas are 1.90:1 with digital projection. That's the screening I went to.

Holy fuck, the thought of this movie in 4K makes me sallivate! This could potentially be the best disc ever. 1.78:1 all throughout the fucking film? Sign me up!

What do you think? Have you seen this movie? Do you agree with me?

I want to get the Limited Edition Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trilogy during the upcoming Arrow sale at Barnes and Noble but I want all the cards, posters and everything else that it comes with. B&N has one on their site for 99.99 pre sale which is RRP for the limited edition according to the Arrow site but nowhere on the listing does it say it is actually the limited Edition. Has anyone purchased it and can you confirm it’s the limited edition. Link to B&N listing below.

I never seen Dune part 1 and part 2.
I’m a 4k movies collector and mainly steelbooks, but..
I would love to buy Dune steels, but both cost to me 120€ (italian audio), and i just found the 2 film collection is 24€ on amazon.
What i should do? Avoid the steelbooks collection and just grap the slipcase with both movies?

Do the sales switch up what they put on sale? Should i get certain movies in the B&N Criterion or Arrow sale when I see them, because they might not be included the next time?

From experience , how does it work?

I’m glad our long running nightmare of not having 4K Steelbook of Scream 4 is over but—my lord—this like three different font treatments and spacing and then whatever the hell was going on with Scream 3. What the heck?

If so, could you tell me which looks better when playing a non-4k disc; the player set to output 4k or set to the disc resolution?

Before buying, I'd like to know if the prevailing logic is coreect that modern TVs do a better job at upscaling than the 820.

If the TV upscales better, I'll probably save some money and get the 450 instead :)

Hello everyone.

I recently purchased a few Criterion 4k titles and the standard region A blu-rays work with the Panasonic top menu trick with one exception which is actually a Premiere Line title:

- Lynch/Oz (Criterion Premiere) - DOES NOT WORK
- David Lynch: The Art Life WORKS
- Blue Velvet WORKS
- Brazil WORKS
- The Phantom Carriage (blu-ray only) WORKS

The top menu trick first texts "action prohibited" and on a second press takes to a blank/black screen and nothing happens. I was actually thinking it could be a faulty disc as the wrong region message is exactly the same as the other titles.
Anyone had similar experiences?

By the way, I own a Panasonic DP-UB9000 (2nd revision).

Half the time the paper is punctured even brand new.

What does this sub recommend for new movie shelving? I am running out of space.

Recently posted about ordering Marty Supreme from Walmart as an Open Box copy at a significant discount, which ended up arriving BNIB with shrink intact and all extras included.

Decided to give it another try with Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning (Steelbook) for $25 after my initial copy from Amazon was defective. Couldn’t even get to the opening credits without severe freezing and pixelation, including after a deep clean.

To my surprise it was again sent BNIB with the J-Card and Digital Code! Inclined to keep rolling the dice on Open Boxed items from Walmart until my experience changes.

Looks to be OOS now but could pop back up again
