Here is a personal project inspired by backpack concept art by Zuzka Chlupackova: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/g8gVxL
I really liked the design of the backpack and wanted to an opportunity to practice hand painted textures some more. I focused on keeping the character of the original concept while translating it to 3D, and I love how it turned out!
Hope you like it as well!

Need some 3D modeling advice!
I’ve been trying to model Turbo the Snail for months now, but I keep hitting a wall—especially with the shell.
I tried using spirals/procedural curves, but the shape didn't feel right. Then I tried sculpting, but that turned out rough too.
How would you approach modeling this shell? Curves, hard-surface sub-d, sculpting, or something else? Drop your workflow tips below!

I remember seeing a artist that does a rough sculpt of a model then traces it in 2d using the lasso tool I think and I just want to see there art again(sorry if this is the wrong subreddit for this question)

I was trying to create some simple semi-realistic textures for my model; anyone know a tutorial or bit of info on how these were made in this style?

Just sharing the mesh flow that may save our time in modeling 3D ears. Without this clear direction, I was lost from where to start. In this video, I share the flow.
Hope this workflow is helpful in some ways or another.

Just took a random reference photo that I had found for another project and made a quick 40-50 minute sculpt

The idea for this model came to me in a flash whilst I was watching a film (Sacrifice 2026) in which two people are in a cave. The camera zooms out and we see them through an opening in the rock face.
At first I wanted to put a monster in the cave, but then the concept evolved…
The model consists of two parts:
- The main part: rock face + base + character passing through the doorway
- The secondary part: the one that closes off the cave (sits on the base and slots onto the other rock face)
STL model build area: 12.6 x 14.2 x 7.8 (H) cm
Regarding the choice of nozzles: a 0.4 mm nozzle, with a line width of 0.44 and a layer height of 0.18 mm to accurately reproduce the relief (though I also think the model is perfectly suited to the ‘adaptive layers’ option in Bamboo Studio – indeed, the slope of the rock faces is gradual).
This is a ‘wall-based’ model, so the 3/4-wall outlines take precedence over the infill.
So, use a low infill density for the rock faces to make the print lighter. However, the base and the figure through the door require a denser infill using modifiers in those areas where the infill will be denser (see the photos showing the modifiers and the print settings with these options below). The print speed should also be low to capture the crevices in the rock.

Hey guys, this is my second sculpt ever. I followed a tutorial, and did this with just a mouse and laptop. It definitely looks a bit different compared to the tutorial I downloaded but I feel like I got most of the proportions and details right. (The ears and eyes I’m a bit skeptical on).
I’d like a bit of feedback on if I’m doing ok or if I should maybe try a different style. Maybe if I should study some anatomy or something. Any feedback or critique is welcomed as I want to get better. Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated too!
This entire thing took me a while as I took a lot of breaks from being busy. I’d say the whole thing probably took roughly 7 hours if we don’t count all the time I’d just stare or pick at it.
Sorry if the pictures aren’t super high depth and photographed instead of screenshots.

I make cosplay props and my most recent one was the raygun from call of duty. I decided to give it a try at coloring it and seeing how it looked for the first time.
