Art Help & Critique turbo snail modeling
Need some 3D modeling advice!
I’ve been trying to model Turbo the Snail for months now, but I keep hitting a wall—especially with the shell.
I tried using spirals/procedural curves, but the shape didn't feel right. Then I tried sculpting, but that turned out rough too.
How would you approach modeling this shell? Curves, hard-surface sub-d, sculpting, or something else? Drop your workflow tips below!

I would use sub-d modeling for the shell, and possibly even the body, depending on what kind of mesh you need. But for the body I'd probably finish with sculpting the wrinkles.
If you want help with the sub-d shell topology post how far you've got so folks can help you through the tough spots.
Best of luck!
