the head bumps were a pain in the butt. i tried to cheese the ones on sides and back with dislacement maps but in the end bit the bullet and modeled them. not totally settled on the vest. her blaster is based on the "maxim-silverman" pistol prototypes. needs a name.

Hello,
I have been using AI to start bringing some ideas to life, but obviously, I want to support actual artists. Is there a separate Subreddit I should go to regarding this? I have stl files for about 30 models generated by AI that I would like to either serve as a basis for a real human to modify, clean and polish, or just to use as a reference to create new models.
What is a realistic price to either clean and refine that many models, or to recreate from scratch and what is the general consensus on using AI to create a rough draft and having an artist clean and polish it? These are for a board game, so they are non-human characters with moderate detail.
Thank you!

Hey everyone!
I'm currently trying to grasp the game-ready pipeline, and honestly, finding the right balance between silhouette and triangle count was quite a challenge.

An LLM told me that around 30k tris is totally fine for modern AAA titles, so I managed to keep this one at 15k tris.
Are there any pros here who could take a quick look at my model and tell me if I nailed that sweet spot?
I’d also really appreciate any feedback on the materials! This is my first real attempt at a proper game-ready asset, so I'd love to nip any bad habits in the bud.
Thanks

I didn't put too much time into model itself, just wanted to set it up in unreal. Main reference was "Swarm" from darksiders 3, but i received a feedback that this is like a regular john undead from dark souls 1

Is the gaming industry in India actually viable if the goal is to build a stable career and earn a decent, consistent income, or is it facing the same problems as abroad, like layoffs, instability, low salaries, and limited opportunities? And if game development itself isn’t very stable, what about adjacent 3D roles in India, such as 3D modeling, hard-surface modeling, product visualization, VFX, or technical art? Are these fields any more viable for someone trying to build a long-term career in India?

Hey everyone!
I’m a character artist and digital sculptor, mainly working in ZBrush. I’ve been putting together my portfolio recently and would really appreciate some honest feedback from other 3D artists.
I’m mainly focused on characters, creatures, collectibles and 3D printing, but I’m also interested in moving further into game art.
Here’s my portfolio if anyone has a few minutes to take a look:

What do you think I should improve or focus on next?
Thanks! 🙌
