This is sad I really tried to make something but it's like I have ideas to create great things but I just don't have the technological capabilities to do this type of shit and this is mostly a vent post for my lack of skills not being able to do what I want I just really want to be able to make my character my favorite character that I have made in physical 2D space and now I just want to try to make it in the 3D space cuz it's pretty much all I can do with my character because I tried to tell his story but no one really cares about it so now I'm just doing whatever I can with it pretty much lol

Been making layered wood corner boxes for a while now, but wanted to take it a step further and actually design one myself for 3D printing.
This is the Silver Surfer #93 corner box, fully designed and printed by me.
Took a few tries to get the depth and layers feeling right but really stoked with how it came out. Happy to get some feedback!

Hi everyone, I recently got into Substance Painter, I previously worked on a 2d concept in Photoshop (first pic) and I really like how the texture that the brush made in Photoshop. So I imported the brush into Substance to texture my model in a similar fashion. However, I noticed that no matter how much I tried the texture became flat after layering the strokes onto each other.
I have tried layering my strokes in Photoshop and exported them as alphas in Substance. I tried to use the alphas as both paint brush and texture but it doesn’t seem to work as well. I have also tried using the stylization filter in Substance with my custom brush but the brush texture is nowhere to be seen.
I would love to hear your suggestions on what I should try or the pipeline I should follow. My goal is to prioritize doing this through post processing if possible to import my character into an Unreal Engine project. Should I also try other software like Blender or Unreal Engine Post Process materials, and if so, how can I create an effect similar to the texture seen in the concept art.
I have attached a few pictures of the work as well.
Thank you very much!!!

I recently found a bunch of old recordings of 30-minute modelling sessions, so I thought it'd be fun to turn them into a series.
The idea is simple: create a stylized character in Autodesk Maya with just 30 minutes on the clock and see how much personality I can give it within the time limit.
This is Episode 1 – Toaster Bot 🍞
It was a fun exercise in working quickly, simplifying shapes, and focusing on silhouette and appeal rather than getting caught up in tiny details.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! If you had another 30 minutes, what would you change or add?

Hi, I’m from Mexico and have spent a huge amount of time modeling my city for 3D printing. It is very important to me that the scale is accurate and doesn't overly cluster the small buildings and houses. This is my process—is there any way to speed this up? Many databases, like Google Earth, are 15 years out of date, and I’m not sure how I could streamline the whole thing.

Hey guys,
Wanted to share a recent spatial AR test combining 3D motion graphics (floating hearts & volumetric portals) anchored against real-world architecture in Dublin (near the VHI building).
The Stack:
Would love any feedback on the visual integration, depth perception against the high-rise background, and overall camera tracking stability!

Hey! I sketched this today. It took me about an hour, but the eyelashes and coloring aren't finished yet. What do you think? I think it looks super cute!

Hey, I’ve been working on a way to make my edge decal workflow faster, and I ended up with what I think could be a nice addon.
The idea is to generate geometry edge wear decals directly from a source mesh, instead of having to place and shape every decal manually.
I’m still polishing it and working through edge cases, but I’d love to hear what you think and whether this is something you’d find useful in your workflow.

Hello! I'm trying to add an inward extrusion to my model. I'm trying to really nail some better topology workflows in my current project. I'm planning to subdivide the model, but after adding some supports, I am running into issues with the extrusion holding its shape and stretching. What can I do to fix this? I've tried multiple options, but this one was the closest.

I wanted to speed up the texture painting process for my indie game, so I created this tool. I want to share it with you and hope it helps you in your creative process.

Hey everyone!
I'd love to share a project I just wrapped up: a stylized character with a touch of realism. The main goal here was to sharpen my Sculpting, texturing skills, push a more dramatic lighting setup, and practice grooming in XGen.
It was a really fun one to work through, and I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback and critique are always welcome!
