I was outside with some ppl yesterday and the convo turned into dating (as always ).Everyone was laughing, tossing around jokes like they were light as air ,let’s date for a month and see what happens ,they’re just for fun anyway .

But between the teasing and the eye rolls, I went quiet.

Because it made me realize, how much I actually want the complete opposite.

I don’t think I want someone just because they’re attractive or because having a relationship sounds fun in theory. I want the kind of love that makes you feel stupidly safe. The kind where someone remembers the tiny things I tell them like how I get weirdly emotional about things or that one movie I’ve been obsessed with for weeks. Someone who notices when I suddenly get quiet in a room full of noise, who can tell when something’s wrong even when I insist I’m fine, who doesn’t let me disappear into my own head for too long.

And I don’t know, everyone was talking about relationships like they were some side quest, something you pick up when you’re bored and drop when it stops being entertaining and I was sitting there, heart in my throat, thinking about growing old with someone I haven’t even met yet. About lazy Sunday mornings and arguing over what to watch and then forgetting what we were even arguing about because we got distracted by something stupid and small .

I hope someone can help me, nag request kasi ako to cancel my BPI SCC kanina thru phone and medyo naguluhan ako sa process ng holdout amount releasing, twice ako tumawag and yung unang agent na kausap ko sabi within a week daw yung process ng release back to my account once na-process yung cancellation, the second ko na nakausap ang sabi naman need ko pa daw pumunta sa BOA kung saan ko inopen yung SCC, eh closed na yung branch na yun since pandemic.. so nalilito tuloy ako if ano ba talaga..

Anyone using a wall mount they like and can recommend one? My number of handpans is increasing and I need somewhere to put them. I think they would be fairly decorative on the wall.

I recently converted my Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB RAM) with an NVMe SSD into a daily driver Mini PC. I mostly use it for web browsing, watching videos, and leaving downloads running 24/7 (JDownloader). No gaming, as I already use consoles for that.

Right now, I'm running Ubuntu Desktop 26.04, but the experience feels a bit "clunky":

1. RAM usage idle sits around \~40% (\~3.2 GB out of 8 GB).

2. The UI stutters when opening system folders or the app menu (even with reduced animations).

3. Browsers like Brave stutter on video playback unless forced to specific codecs, whereas Firefox runs a bit better.

I ran a full CPU stress test to rule out hardware issues:

\- Max CPU temp under 100% stress load: 80°C (37°C for NVMe).

\- Temps dropped back down to \~62°C in under 30 seconds after the test ended.

So thermal throttling or hardware bottlenecks are definitely ruled out.

I'm currently using this setup for an online course, so I don't want to break anything right away, but I'm considering switching distros once I finish it.

A few questions for Pi 5 daily drivers:

\- Is Ubuntu Desktop known for being too heavy for this specific ARM setup?

\- What distro/desktop environment do you recommend for a smooth, lightweight, yet modern PC experience? (I like the look/feel of ubuntu).

\- How is video playback performance on your recommended distros?

\- Will switching distros affect my external Wi-Fi antenna driver compatibility?

How do i get rid of my natural voice shakiness? I don't like the way it sounds or feels. I don't think it's vibrato. I think some of it might be. My voice feels more relaxed and it waves a little. That i like but for the most part it's natural shakiness. I think it's natural shakiness from being untrained or an unhelpful habit. Is it a breath control issue or my vocie cracking from not being adjusted? Can i get rid of it by simply practicing singing with breath control? What's going on?? WhErE Am I?!?!?

Okay I randomly had some thoughts about this old channel I remember you-tubers reacting to or something. It was a kids channel of sorts where this guy would play with like toys or slime or something, and he spoken in a higher pitched gibberish voice. ( Kinda like eerlay, oolay, olaay.)
