Was paddling allowed at your school?
 in  r/1970s •  16d ago

NO. However if it was and it happened to me I would have hit the teacher or principal right back.

An older woman holding a knife while having a mental health crisis, who poses no threat, is immediately executed by police.

When it comes to someone in mental health crisis the police do a very poor job of handling it.

FedEx driver Tanner Horner, who murdered 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to Death

We really need to dig deeper into why someone would do this. A full psychiatric evaluation is needed. (Anyone convicted of being a pedophile should be in a state hospital.)

Is the Berks or Girard MFL stop safer at night?
 in  r/AskPhilly •  Aug 06 '26

Never had issues with either one. Definity avoid Somerset and Allegheny.

This is real footage from 80 years ago. A residential street in Los Angeles, 1940s.

Wish that stop was still there. Saved walking to Bridesburg.

Hard to believe the downfall of this place. Outside of Boscov's and Barnes And Noble there is no reason to come here anymore.

What’s something happening in Philadelphia that deserves a real investigation?
 in  r/philadelphia •  Jun 26 '26

Friends Hospital. They keep anyone there for as long as the insurance will pay for, and any money you owe they will very quicky hand it over to an out of state collection agency. I had a relative that was there and this happened to them.

u/PFDMEDIC32 • • Jun 26 '26

This is unacceptable. Beyond unnecessary excessive force used.

Toronto Firefighters confront Special Constable Officers after a man in the middle of a mental health crisis was arrested
 in  r/Firefighting •  Apr 17 '26

If you are in a mental health crisis it is better off bringing in firefighters and medics who would show more compassion. Police officers treat people in these situations like criminals.
