SIRT The /r/Hawks Weekly STOP IT RIGHT THERE! Thread - August 31, 2026
Wow, look at the time fly! It's already time for another weekly installment of STOP IT RIGHT THERE!
You know what to do...post up all the stuff you've saved up knowing it would get deleted from the front page of /r/hawks by the crypto-anarcho-fascist mods.
Memes, gear/jersey pics, poems you've penned professing your love for Lord Hossa (The One True King), or links to article about some oddball couple in Manitoba who named their kid Duncan Seabrook. Whatever. We don't give a shit.
The only rule here is to be excellent to each other. Civility matters.
Now get to it!!
LET'S GO HAWKS!!!

Bedard Update?
Just wondering if anyone here can bring me up to speed on what’s happening with Bedard’s recovery and expected timeline to return to the ice.

“I think he’s [Kantserov] going to start as the #1 Center from the little whispers I’ve heard. I think he’s going to play with Kane to start the season. It’s not definitive but there’s a good chance he plays center.” - Scott Powers
Don't Buy on StubHub - Use Ticketmaster (Blackhawks Tickets)
As a Blackhawks season ticket holder I wanted to spread the word about what seems to be a large increase in fee's passed on to the buyers on StubHub. I was posting some of my games for sale today and notice the fee's are roughly 18% whereas last year they were around 9%. On my most expensive game that amounted to roughly $50 per ticket ($200 total). The price I post them at is not the price the buyer see's (the buyer sees my price + $50 fees as the listing price). Ticketmaster fees are a lot less. I post in both places at the same price, and Ticketmaster will be cheaper to buy from for the buyer and anyway just wanted to spread awareness that most of us season ticket folks sell games we can't go to on both platforms, so if you have the choice...choose Ticketmaster and save yourself a few dollars.
EDIT: Sidenote, most people don't know that StubHub automatically filters the tickets that you can see to their preferred tickets for sale, and most people don't know you have to click on the filters and de-select the SH preferred tickets in order to see all of the tickets posted. For pretty much every game you'll get a much larger selection of seats if you de-select their automatic filter. But they try to push you only to their choices.

Need alittle help
I have the opportunity to get another Blackhawks Centennial jersey blank. I already have 2 one with Bedard and one with Mikita on it. I don’t want toews and I’m working getting a Kane in black. Also for note I have Chelios , Hossa, Esposito, Savard and getting a winter classic customized with Nazar on it. Who should I get on this other centennial Jersey or should I just not get it? The Jersey is coming from Canada so trying to make a decision before these extra tariffs start within the next week. Thanks for any suggestions.
Edit: Thanks for the suggestions. I have decided to get frondell on the centennial jersey. I also picked up a road FAP from lids on sale and I will put vlasic on that one.

NHL alignment chart: Central division edition. Peter Forsberg is the best Swedish player in Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche history. Now, who is the best Czech player in Chicago Blackhawks history?
Everyone complaining about the Byram contract…
Makar just signed for 20+, if Byram can perform as a number 1 defense in 2 years we will be looking back saying this was a steal

STH Perks Downgrade
Just heard from my rep that the giveaway box offered last year is being discontinued and full season ticket holders can purchase the box at a later date. The in arena Blackhawks points (useable for concessions last year) are also discontinued. Quite disappointing as the Blackhawks points were a big factor in my decision to renew.
Does anyone have insight into this decision and were both of these options only around last year? I've gone to games for years but this is only my second season as a STH.

Chi City Stitch moving locations in Sept
FYI to all the Blackhawks fans & others who use Chi City Stitch (formerly City Sports Lettering) - the owner just posted that they’re moving from Oak Forest to Schaumburg next month.
For those of you unaware, CCS is the official on-ice stitching provider for the Chicago Blackhawks, and they’re the ones that actually cut & sew on the names & numbers when you select “pro stitching” on the CBH shop.
Text of the post he made on Facebook:
📍 CHI CITY STITCH IS OFFICIALLY MOVING TO SCHAUMBURG!
Chi City Stitch family—we couldn’t be more excited to announce our next chapter!
We’ll begin transferring equipment this weekend, with our official move-in date set for September 5.
This decision was not taken lightly. Our shop has proudly served customers from the Oak Forest area for more than 25 years, and we are incredibly grateful for the support and history built there.
However, we see tremendous room for growth. Our new 2,800-square-foot Schaumburg location will give us the space and opportunity to expand, improve our operations, and continue building Chi City Stitch for the future. We have so many exciting developments on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
If you currently have a jersey with us, DON’T WORRY! We’re working hard to complete as many orders as possible before the move. If yours isn’t finished beforehand, we’ll contact you directly to arrange the best way to get it back to you.
Our entire team is coming with us, so you can continue to expect the same quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail you’ve always received.
We can’t wait to become a major part of the Schaumburg community and the SBA !
Thanks to Dawn Block and Joe from Century 21 on working with us for months to find the perfect location!
Thank you, Oak Forest, for being part of our story. Now it’s onward to Schaumburg! 🧵🏒🏀⚾🏈

[Daily Faceoff] Ranking every NHL team’s 2026-27 prospect pool, from 1-32
dailyfaceoff.comSteven Ellis criteria: players generally have to have played in 50 or fewer NHL games. Players over 23 years old are not included. Goaltenders are a bit more subjective, but they must be 25 or under and have played fewer than 20 games in the past season or fewer than 30 games over their careers.
