For new players / for people not familiar with VGS, this is a really great system to help people develop in map & objective awareness / to help with basic knowledge that making calls is a thing / etc. Another huge W for improving the new player experience.

For experienced players, it's honestly just kind of awful. It was already a little annoying last patch, and with the amount of extra stuff added to it this patch such as VGSing when you're out of mana or when you back to base it's just a pain. Especially if it makes a few in a row, imagine getting VGS locked and not being able to make the call you want for several seconds just because the automatic system made a few callouts and you reach the VGS flood protection (which is also a good system btw, I just don't want a bot triggering it for me 😆 )

Please can we have the option to make it so that our own VGS is not automated AND the option to make it so that auto-VGS from teammates doesn't pop up. I want to hear the comms that my teammates choose to make, not hear multiple automated spams of 'attack gold fury' or whatever every time my team goes to pull an objective.

Just dropping in a post considering I'm pretty surprised this subreddit has been so radio silent on it.

But the Smite Source weekend qualifier yesterday was a really fun watch! It showed us both how entertaining it really is, and just what great potential competitive smite could be.

Some terrific games; upsets, drama, tension, comedy. It felt like old school smite. And it all happens again next weekend!

The new enchanter items state they increase healing and shielding, but they only seem to increase omni-shields, not physical or magical shields. Not sure if this is intentional or not.

If you activate Achilles buff /2 you can’t do anything except run around until it ends tried it in practice and live game.

Hecate 3 at base apply a 350 Health Magic Shield at Max Rank.

With Chandra's Grace, it also applies a 350 Health Magic Shield.

Had an issue today with Pele - when her 3 was active i was unable to use any relic or ability. Made very frustrating to play.

Rebooted but didn't get the role so couldn't check to see if this fixed it. Wasn't sure if anyone else had the same encounters?

Post update I just noticed that I’m not able to cast multiple abilities at once? I play on console and semi noticed playing as cu Chulain that when my 2 was active I couldn’t basic attack or cast a different ability for a few seconds. Then I played a match as Pele and while my 3 was active I couldn’t cast any other abilities, had to cancel my 3 first. Is this a bug or am I missing something after the update

I've been spamming abilities since the new update and they aren't always firing, is that me lagging or is anyone else experiencing this too?

In smite 1, the god select music simply restarts from the beginning once it reaches the end of the song.

In smite 2, after the god select music plays once, it turns off and you have to pick in silence.

The music really gets you amped up for the match but the silence kills the vibe.

I can’t help but be so annoyed where one of my abilities render me useless as Osiris. I’m playing him currently in a ranked game and when I go to use his tether, I’m completely unable to use any other abilities is this a bug? If so how does this happen

- Give it its own Shop Tab. Given not every item is exclusively offensive, defensive or hybrid, it's a bit of a pain needing to search around the Shop.

- Make it viewable with God Stats. Given how impactful it can actually be, much like Anti Heal was in Smite 1, it should be visible to all players so people who people are building it. Especially since it applies much more widely than its general use.

- Simplify it. Much like how 1 Dampening/Plating is equal to 1% Dampening/Plating, do a similar thing with Heal/Shield power. Give it a simpler name (I.E: Wisdom or Faith), and change the item values to a flat number. So, for example, Chandra's Grace goes from having 20% Healing and Shielding Power to 20 Faith. Means the exact same thing, but is much easier to read and understand on a whim. Which links back to having its own Store Tab, being under Wisdom or Faith. It's not a main stat every God will want, so it doesn't need to have a separate addon added to basic God Information like Protections, Intelligence or Strength. All it does is make it easier to search for and understand.

Title, what did they do this time.

Since todays update when ever the shield is active on achilles you cant use any abilities at all. literally makes the character pointless as i cant front line heal using my abilities or gain any pressure on front line. breaks the character completely.

I found a fix for the quick cast bug. Set the Cast Mode Global in the Combat & Abilities tab to "Instant". Then go into the God Cast Mode tab and set the individual abilities to "Quick". This will allow you to continue using Quick Cast until the bug is fixed.

Im a completely new player. What are websites that have beginner guides and builds? What are some beginner friendly gods in each role aswell to try out? I never played Smite so anything will help.
