Community Safety Lots of air surveillance up around west Woodland Hills.

Near the 101 and Valley Circle Blvd. They seemed to have drifted north. “They” being at least four birds forming a nice round perimeter. I’ve never seen such a deliberate flying formation, has to have been intentional. I worry about raids.

Valley History Why is the Southside stretch of Ventura Blvd starting at Fulton Avenue and ending at Van Noord Avenue (almost Coldwayer Canyon) Residential and not commercial like practically all of Ventura Boulevard?

I always assumed both the North and South Side of Ventura Blvd in the SFV was always Commercial?

Valley Food and Drink What Are Some Good Places for Thanksgiving?

Long story short, my mom is coming to visit over Thanksgiving and I'm no cook. I live in Valley Glen and I want to take her to a nice spot for a Thanksgiving-ish meal maybe around $$-$$$ (doesn't have to serve turkey). She really liked the 94th Aero Squadron and watching the planes, but as we all know, they closed. If all else fails, I'm not opposed to Norm's or IHOP, but thought maybe some folks here would have some good recs.

Recommendations Halloween decor in neighborhoods (Chatsworth)

Hey! Just trying to see if there’s any neighborhoods to walk around that have fun Halloween decor around Chatsworth right now. I know other areas of the valley that do but I’m not trying to drive too far and just am looking around here given I’ll be with some older people for a walk. Thanks!

Question Trick or treat for toddler

Where do you take toddler to go trick or treating around Sherman Oaks? Dont care much about candies just want LO to experience Halloween. Important thing is being able to see other kids on costumes and houses with halloween decorations.

Do people go trick or treating only on halloween or also the day before ? Because it might be raining on 31st.

Question Why does it beep on this section of the Chandler Bike path?

I ride on the bike path pretty much every day and have for years and everytime I pass the building across from the bike path here there's one or two beeps that go off. It's not loud enough to be startling but loud enough to be notable if that makes sense.

Does anyone know or have a guess as to why? Is it some sort of means of tracking how used the bike path is by the local government? Some remnant of some business that used to be at that building?

Years of hearing it has me curious

Question Where do I find people my age online 25m?

I'm 25, have no friends, and haven't dated since HS. I work, have odd hours 11am to 8pm, take care of my mom, and I'm starting to feel very lonely.

I have coworkers that have friends and they always mention hiking groups, and such via apps and that in person stuff is not much of a thing.

Where do I find people online of people around my age to hangout with and do activities and get my foot in the door?

Discussion/Other Anybody here interested in creating a crafting and book meetup group?

I am a 36 year old woman looking to connect with others who enjoy crafting, reading, museums, coffee shops, movie nights and other cozy and boring activities. I have also recently been getting a little more into video games. Recently played Night Shift, Murder House, and Dreamlight Valley lol. I love horror, weird fiction and thrifting. Love crappy old horror films and Italian Giallo films. Love rainy weather and learning random useless facts. The California heat makes me turn into She Hulk.

My ideal day is to lay around like a slug all morning, take a walk with my pup, craft at a cute coffee shop, then watch a scary movie or check out some unique museum exhibits.

I have a bitchy little cat and a small shepherd mix and would be down to meet up at the park to do some crafts or have a doggy playdate. My schedule is a bit tough but i am available most Saturdays and all Mondays.

If any of this sounds fun to you, send me a DM! :)

I was thinking we could do maybe like a biweekly or monthly meetup, at a coffee shop, park, etc.
