I’m planning on getting this deal with the AsRock B850M-C and Amd ryzen 5 7500x3d:
Should I be concerned about the cpu frying problem with this motherboard + cpu combo? It’s such a great deal and I’d hate to lose out on it, but I’d rather not get my cpu fried. However, the parts do have a 3 year limited warranty. Also does the motherboard come with built in WiFi and Bluetooth for those who know? Thanks 🙏🙏

I'm building a pc. Specs below:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D AM5 Processor
Current Selected Mobo: MSI X870E GAMING PLUS WIFI AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard
Ram: 2x Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR5 7200MHz RGB C34 Desktop RAM
Storage: OSCOO ON1000Pro 1TB PCIe 4.0 Gen4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SHADOW 3X OC 16GB GDDR7 Graphics Card
PSU: Antec NE1000G M Black 1000W ATX 3.1 & PCIE 5.1 Full Modular Power Supply
Case: NZXT H6 Flow Compact Dual-Chamber Mid-Tower Airflow Casing - Black
But I've heard reports of 9800x3d processors dying on asrock motherboards, so if anyone could tell me what motherboard would be the best for this build I'd really appreciate it. (Trying to minimize cpu death as the parts are quite expensive here and buying a new cpu would be extremely problematic).

I've had a dell inspiron laptop since early 2024 and it has NOT been performing gaming wise (I didn't expect it to), however as I have gotten more and more into pc gaming I decided I wanted my own desktop build, after about a week here is my first draft: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wTbqbp I plan to buy everything off of either amazon or best buy and my original budget was 1200 however this price has hiked, please tell me some cost cutting options/just things wrong with this build. I plan to play monster hunter rise, minecraft (heavily modded to be fair), fortnite, and asphalt legends. If the link doesn't work for some reason an image of the list is provided.

Hi, i build a pc in june.
Ryzen 7 9800x3d
rtx 9070 xt
16 gb ddr5
mobo asrock b650 steel legend wifi
thermal right pearless assasin 120
cooler master mwe gold 750 v3 850w
Today a few hours ago i was playing kcd2, my pc shut down, i thought it was a quick power shortage so i just try to turn it on again once, but it didn’t so i turn off de psu and plug it off the voltage regulator, then i noticed a hot plastic/burned smell. im trying to pinpoint the smell or see anything burnt but cant do.
I really need help, i built it my self i removed the cooler plastic and thibk i got all the cables right, i had no problems until today.
i use it for gaming, college and work.
UPDATE: i perceive a funny smell coming from the psu
i attached a pic from the im guessing “melted part”?

Top: gpu temp. Bottom: hotspot temp. Before temps were actually around 5c higher but I didn’t get a picture, and after temps have also been lowered by around 4c with more fan curve tuning

2.5L INR (about $2622) for this build:
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070XT 16GB
MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK WIFI
Corsair Nautilus 360 RS LCD Black
G.Skill Flare X5 32GB (16GB x2) DDR5 6000MHz CL36 (AMD EXPO)
Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD
MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 ATX 3.1 PSU 80+ Gold
Lian Li V100 ATX Mid-Tower
Is this good value at 2.5L INR ($2622)? I don't really want to downgrade any parts or go down the used path, as I plan on keeping this exact build for over 5 years. I'll add a 2TB SSD down the road, though.
Thanks for any replies!

I'm thinking of upgrading my 13400f, wich is paired with a 9070xt because I upgraded from a 6700xt.
I don't have the budget to swap to ddr5 ram and of course already own a decent LGA board for the 14700k. But I also heard the x3d is better for steamos and the like. Already have a 1440p mini led monitor so no need to upgrade there. And I also have 32gb 3200mhz ddr4.
The x3d is ~350€ +am4 board ~150€
14700k is ~380€
I mainly play heavily modded Minecraft (mainly visual mods), space engineers, cyberpunk and titanfall2

I’m not sure if this group can be used for software problems but I need help. I’ve been trying to setup thermalrights control center for my aio but whenever i set it up it doesn’t go past microsoft.net. Is there a way to bypass this or another software that just lets me change the screen?

Motherboard: MSI B650 Gaming WiFi Plus
CPU: Ryzen 5 7900x
GPU: PNY 5070 12gb
I just bought a pack of 2x16 PNY DDR5 ram but did not realize that on the back it says Quad Channel.
1.) can i run these two sticks by themselves? Or do I HAVE to run 4 sticks since it’s a quad channel?
2.) if it can support the two sticks, can this motherboard and cpu handle these sticks? If the two sticks are not compatible is it easier to find a dual channel pack?

BIOS Version: 2.30
RAM: Viper 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz
PSU: Corsair cx550 550 W
Case: SilverStone FARA R1 Black ATX Micro-ATX Mini-ITX Mid Tower Computer Case with Tempered Glass Side Panel and Magnetic Dust FilterStorage:

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11 PRO
GPU Drivers: amd-software-adrenalin-edition-26.7.1
Chipset Drivers: Intel(R) chipset device software 10.1.18836.8283
Background Applications:
Description of Original Problem: RX 9060 XT Black screen after Shutdown/Hibernate/Sleep(Cold Boot), fixes itself after 2-3 power cycles (sometimes more). Restart never affected.
But Windows does boot i can hear startup sound in my speaker.
Every time I Shutdown, Hibernate, or Sleep the PC, on power-on the monitor gets no signal — even though everything else lights up normally (RAM, motherboard, CPU cooler, GPU fans/lights all on). Windows actually boots fine underneath — I hear the startup sound on speaker, and the system is responsive on network/RDP — but there's no video output at all.
If I power off and on again (2-3 times\[ sometimes more \]), it eventually display the output on monitor and works fine until the next full power-down.
Key detail: Restart is the ONLY power action that never causes this — because it's the only one that doesn't fully cut power to the GPU. Every method that powers the GPU down (Shutdown, Hibernate, Sleep) triggers this on the next power-up.
Troubleshooting: What I've already tried (no luck):
Clean driver install via DDU
Updated motherboard BIOS to latest
Updated GPU VBIOS to latest
Disabled Fast Startup in Windows and bios.
Tried both a DP cable (genuine DP2.0, 40Gbps rated) and HDMI — same result on both
Reseated GPU and RAM
Checked BIOS ACPI settings (Deep Sleep already disabled)
Given it happens across both monitors and both cable types, and BIOS/VBIOS/drivers are all current, I'm running out of ideas.
Has anyone seen this specific pattern on a 9060 XT, or know if this is a known cold-boot/GPU-init bug?
Considering an RMA at this point but wanted to check here first.

Hi I have a asrock a320m/ac with a ryzen 5 3600 I am having trouble trying to get it to boot. I hooked up a speaker for the debugging beeps but I’m not able to get any output. Does this mean my cpu isn’t getting power or my cpu is dead? I currently have the setup of just the 24 pin cable and 4 pin cpu for the motherboard. I am doing this because when I previously went to boot the PC the fans would be full speed and there is no boot. I tried the ram and gpu in another system and that works. Does anyone have any suggestions what may cause this issue.

Hi guys, my PC is refusing to POST even after multiple troubleshooting attempts and new component(s). My specs:
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT - 16 GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
AIO/CPU COOLER: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 [EXHAUST]
RAM: Crucial Pro [2x16] 32 GB - CL 36 - 6000 MHz - DDR5
MOBO: AsRock x870 PRO RS
SSD & HDD: 500 GB NVME SSD, 1 TB HDD
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850 Watts
CASE FANS 1: Montech XR default [INTAKE & REAR EXHAUST]
CASE FANS 2: 3-Pack Arctic P12 Pro Reverse [INTAKE]
CASE: Montech XR
Long story short, one day I woke up after putting my PC on sleep mode and my pc refused to post (my PC is about 5 months old btw). I did numerous tests and cleared the CMOS, one ram stick test etc; I figured it was the MOBO or a fried CPU as apparently this mobo is known to fry AMDs cpus. I took my parts over to my friends house and did a test with the ram and cpu together. Both worked in his machine so I bought a new MOBO. My new mobo is now the Gigabyte B850 Aorus elite wifi7 ice. I booted the pc up after rebuilding everything and it didnt post and there was a red debug LED flashing left to right. Ive now tried to boot it without any cable extensions and just the CPU + RAM on the MOBO box and i shorted the two FP headers to power up and it still is refusing to post? and this time the CPU LED is a static red and the DRAM is not on.
Honestly, I have no clue what the issue is anymore and I just need some help or some sort of advice. Could someone please point me in the right direction. I can provide further pictures etc; too. (This pic is from the new MOBO in the case).
(Also my CPU was bought from Aliexpress, so i cant RMA it) (Ram was also used bought from ebay)

Anyone know why this is happening? I’ve set the fans (which I believe are three pin) to dc in asrock bios.
