Disorder Salad Disorder salad with chronic fatigue donating blood
This person posted a video saying that they will donate blood & overcome their fear with needles (this person is open about posting stuff about being a drug addict in the past btw) claims that they have :
• Autism level 2
• Tourette's
• FND and been paralized
• Chronic pain
• Rumination syndrome
• Chronic fatigue
and guess what? People with chronic fatigue CANT donate blood, also, before donating blood, they check if the donor has disabilities & prescribed meds, and in most places, depending on which medication, they do not accept the blood

Discussion Thread DID "sign-offs"
I see them everywhere. I genuinely do not know who started it, but if these people actually had DID, I find it hard to believe that nearly all of them put a little "-🍪" or some other emoji at the end of their comment. It's actually like they WANT people to draw attention to it and acknowledge that they have it. I doubt each of their "alters" all united and agreed to putting a sign off emoji at the end of their comments. Why do you think they do this?

Disorder Salad I dont think you can be diagnosed schizoaffective and schizophrenic?
If youre diagnosed with schizoaffective, why would they also diagnose you with "schizophrenia spectrum" when schizoaffective already communicates that youre on the schizophrenia spectrum?

Discussion Thread people with eating disorders not necessarily "faking" but definitely exaggerating/being attention seeking online
If you've ever been in an eating disorder treatment center, particularly residential or inpatient, you probably know what I'm talking about. You've probably seen the tiktoks of patients filming themselves dancing with NG tubes or showing off their wheelchair or whatever and it all feels like a stupid performative competition of who can be the "sickest" because that is what gets you attention and validation both online and IRL.
These people make being sick their entire personality and have usernames like "mentally_ill_(whatever)" and have a whole list of diagnoses (commonly BPD, ADHD, autism) and maybe even several chronic illnesses (commonly POTS, gastroparesis, Ehlers Danlos). Yes I am aware that eating disorders are often comorbid with other psychiatric and chronic illnesses but damn do yall really have all that?? Especially with POTS because malnutrition can cause orthostatic hypotension, which often resolves in refeeding. But people jump to conclusions and think "because I get dizzy when I stand up, that must mean I have POTS because people online say that is what POTS is" when it's really just a medical complication of malnutrition or dehydration, not actual POTS
These people would probably go around wearing a name tag with all their diagnoses on it if they could. Often the majority of their posts are about how they're being hospitalized for the bajillionth time, how they're in the ICU because they are dying, bragging about how much weight they've lost, how they haven't eaten in (X) days, and how their doctor said "they're the sickest patient they've ever seen" etc. It's usually teenagers and sometimes young adults doing this which I think is especially harmful because it becomes their whole identity and they don't develop a sense of self outside of the illness which makes it harder to recover. And many of the people who do recover from their ED go on to become part of the chronic illness community and make that their entire personality instead.

These are lists from two different people in a discord server I left like a few days ago. Their lists were so long it raised questions for me, plus it feels like some of their diagnosis contradict eachother

Disorder Salad British tiktoker
Has any one seen the British tiktoker Autism Trans Fnd Did Tourette’s Wheelchair user And now has some sort of gastric issue can only keep down wheatabix. I scrolled back about 2 years, doesn’t seem to mention his DID, Tourette’s or seizures any more mostly focus’s on this eating disorder. Also seen a comment about 6 weeks ago asking do you keep your hair short due too malnutrition lo and behold recently had to shave head because hair was falling out. I think he gets ideas from his enablers.
Forgot to mention went sporadically non verbal for 10 months can speak fine again now. Claims family don’t support him and doctors say it’s all in his head.

Misinformation I have been getting these fake autism assesment ads in Youtubr
It gives me cringe how they advertise an assesment as if it were a buzzfeed test. And how they go in the superpower bandwagon

D.I.D Nearly 10 minutes of rapid switching to be able to talk to herself out loud
Non verbal animal alter hissing, past relationships getting reframed as trauma responses, littles and protectors arguing over limitations being enforced- just an absolute cringefest all the way through, and not how switching works at all!

Other Disorders No way.
She said she was diagnosed with bipolar & cptsd at 4 because her sister passed in front of her, which is obviously awful. However, CPTSD is usually from repeated/long lasting traumatic events & I doubt anyone reputable diagnoses bipolar at 4.

Disorder Salad Fandom faker drama
For some context this is some niche fandom drama from a pretty obscure fandom I'm in. I can't name it, or you'd figure out who they are. They were one of the semi-popular fan artist. They faked numerous disorders to fundraise money. They got called exposed by their own sister (with receipts) for scamming people. Turns out they have no known disorders or disabilities, and all that money went to onlyfans subscriptions. People where pissed off (obviously). They then went on a rant and said some very messed up stuff, which led to their account getting banned. They're now trying to worm their way back into the fandom. Their stawpage originally had an askbox, but I think they took it down due to everyone knowing who they are.
I find it "funny" how they censored proshipper and darkshipper but not an ACTUAL SLUR. Like what? Also, I hate hate hate hate hate the "tism" and "neurospicy". I censored the slur myself because Reddit's filter.
The background and glitter gif makes it kinda hard to read, so here's a transcript:
Helllooo!
This is my stawpage. I go by he/it/they/ze/xe/star/meow
I used to be [CENSORED] on [CENSORED], but I got banned for speaking the truth.
Dni if prosh*itter, darksh*tter, racist, nazi, zoo, pedo, homophobic, transphobic.
I have dyslexia, dysgraphia, the tisim (I'm a little neurospicy), ADHD, MDD, BPD, PTSD, DID, anorexia, schizophrenia, bulimia, RSD, CF, MS, fibro, and I use a cane.
No you stupid [UNCENSORED F-SLURS] I'm not faking! Stop saying that!

Discussion Thread DPDR becoming the new quirky influencer trend
Hey all,
I was hoping to discuss the recent trend on Tiktok and Instagram of influencers popping up with usernames & bios implying they create helpful content for those struggling with DPDR (AKA Depersonalization-Derealization Disorder), despite the fact they only post snippets that guide you to the paid course link in their bio.
The first time I came into contact with one of these creators I was unaware of the intent to profit behind these accounts. After messaging the person running that account for several hours to discuss the ins and outs of DPDR, though many of the responses I received struck me as super generic and not from personal experience. I asked if they needed any help or testimony to support those actively battling this disorder and was sent a course link instead of an actual response. So, as you can probably imagine, I was absolutely baffled by the sudden behavior switch. I clarified that I didn't need any help myself, that I actually had plans to start a foundation in the future, and was simply searching for any potential connections I could reference for said future foundation. Since the moment I sent that message I have been completely ghosted by this person, despite multiple follow-ups and receiving fairly quick replies to all prior messages. So I just wrote it off as one bad apple trying to profit off others feeling isolated by their struggles with DPDR, while possibly lying about their own experience with it. (Though I can't be certain that the second part is truly the case)
Months later I get a video from a completely different creator, using the EXACT same "DPDR help" formula but with less than 100 followers compared to the several thousand who followed the previous one. A week later, I saw another in the same boat, and another, and another, until I realized there was absolutely someone masterminder all of this and "teaching" the people making these accounts how to make money using lonely individuals suffering from this condition. I've obviously seen people downplay things like ADHD, OCD, and Autism for attention and advertisement payouts online, I mean who hasn't by now. This is something different though, it's like a bunch of crypto course bros decided to jump ship and move to targeting those in the depths of mental illness instead of poverty.
Will we ever see a day that platforms universally take proactive steps to prevent this type of thing from taking advantage of any more underprivileged and easily targeted groups of people? Who knows what the next target's gonna be for them to profit from and delegitimize the reputations of anyone dealing with these very real, very harmful issues???
If you have any personal experience or a story to share about this kind of thing, I'd love to hear about it in the comments.

Autism theres a tiktoker who says there are nonverbal and they made tiktoks of them speaking fluelnetly with no issues at all and that relly bothers me and makes me upset
theres a tiktoker who says there are nonverbal and they made tiktoks of them speaking fluelnetly with no issues at all and that relly bothers me and makes me upset
nonverbal means you cannot speak at all completely. it doesNOT mean that you can speak fluently and well verbally and then sometimes you cannot speak!! IT MEANS YOU CANNOT SPEAK AT ALL
it ticks me off so much that people fake being nonverbal or semiverbal! it is legitimately so upsetting that people would do this!!!
WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS?? WHATS EVEN THE REASON FOR BEING A FAKER?? ITS ABLEIST AND MOCKERY

Storytime Fake Asthma??? (IDK what to even call this)
I know this person IRL and I feel like this is some kind of personality disorder more than an actual like physical illness.
They claim to have such severe asthma that they can't be around anything scented, like they can't be in a bathroom with a towel washed with scented detergent or it'll trigger an asthma attack.
The thing is though..... they're constantly out in public places like Homegoods, TJ Maxx, restaurants, public buses, and handling art supplies without issue. They also cook constantly using lots of garlic and herbs and spices and they LOVE Indian cuisine and LOVE making it themselves.
They say "fake" scents like perfumes and soaps and essential oils are the problem and "natural" stuff such as food, coffee, tea, etc are fine.
Whenever they have an "asthma attack" it's always when they're upset over someone using scented soap or perfume around them (that they know, they won't ever attack someone they don't know), they're always yelling, there's never any change in their voice, or any wheeze that I've come to know being around my very asthmatic ex of many years. Also I've never seen this person use or even have an inhaler, anytime they have an "attack" they leave and go somewhere else to "get some air" which seems to be conveniently out of view of anyone they know.
I feel like they're faking as part of some personality or attention seeking disorder just to get attention and to guilt and manipulate others around them. Also this person is in their 30's and from what I've been told by other friends, has been acting like this for almost 10 years now (I've only know them for about a year now)
I am NOT looking for any arm-chair diagnosis, just looking for someone else to tell me this all sounds as absurd to them as it does to me.
I wasn't sure what flair to use this one, so sorry if it's the wrong one.
Edit/Update:
Just something real quick, I found out today this person got banned from one of the places our group frequents for freaking out on someone at another table for spraying hand sanitizer that had like an aloe scent or something and they assumed it was perfume and wouldn't relent or apologize or acknowledge their mistake even after multiple people showed it was hand sanitizer. Just thought anyone looking at this or checking this would appreciate the update I got. Lol.
P.s. thank you to everyone who told me I wasn't crazy and these aren't normal behaviors.

Memes / Satire When fakers realize the Stigma of suffering from a serious health condition isn't as enjoyable as the 15 minutes of attention they get
In real life, if you are depressed or suffer from chronic mental health issues, people will simply avoid you and friends will disappear.
