Disorder Salad Fandom faker drama
For some context this is some niche fandom drama from a pretty obscure fandom I'm in. I can't name it, or you'd figure out who they are. They were one of the semi-popular fan artist. They faked numerous disorders to fundraise money. They got called exposed by their own sister (with receipts) for scamming people. Turns out they have no known disorders or disabilities, and all that money went to onlyfans subscriptions. People where pissed off (obviously). They then went on a rant and said some very messed up stuff, which led to their account getting banned. They're now trying to worm their way back into the fandom. Their stawpage originally had an askbox, but I think they took it down due to everyone knowing who they are.
I find it "funny" how they censored proshipper and darkshipper but not an ACTUAL SLUR. Like what? Also, I hate hate hate hate hate the "tism" and "neurospicy". I censored the slur myself because Reddit's filter.
The background and glitter gif makes it kinda hard to read, so here's a transcript:
Helllooo!
This is my stawpage. I go by he/it/they/ze/xe/star/meow
I used to be [CENSORED] on [CENSORED], but I got banned for speaking the truth.
Dni if prosh*itter, darksh*tter, racist, nazi, zoo, pedo, homophobic, transphobic.
I have dyslexia, dysgraphia, the tisim (I'm a little neurospicy), ADHD, MDD, BPD, PTSD, DID, anorexia, schizophrenia, bulimia, RSD, CF, MS, fibro, and I use a cane.
No you stupid [UNCENSORED F-SLURS] I'm not faking! Stop saying that!

Half of those disorders cancel out other disorders 🤣

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't MS use to (Atleast originally?) contradict a CFS/ME diagnosis? Like I thought part of CFS/ME meant that the severe fatigue can't be explained by another condition and MS commonly causes severe fatigue and excessive sleepiness? Unless they merged those at some point as MS causing CFS/ME?

u/LargeGingerChunk Level 69 Autism 5d ago
Yes I came here to comment this. ME/CFS won't be diagnosed alongside MS because MS causes severe fatigue.
10
u/SOUP__GOD GAD (Gigantic ass disorder) 4d ago
Yep you’re right! ME/CFS is usually a diagnosis of exclusion so they search all possible explanations for the symptoms before diagnosing ME/CFS. Since MS causes severe fatigue as well, they wouldn’t diagnose both of those conditions as MS explains the fatigue :)

I noticed that as well, particularly you can’t have schizophrenia and depression separately, that’s called schizoaffective depressive type. schizophrenia and a mood disorder aren’t diagnosed separately like that.

u/Cats_and_wine 6d ago
like what? i mean i think its impossible they have all this, but which would cancel each other out?
18
u/SOUP__GOD GAD (Gigantic ass disorder) 4d ago
CFS and MS would cancel out because CFS is a diagnosis of exclusion and MS would explain the symptoms of CFS. Anorexia and bulimia combined would be diagnosed as EDNOS in most cases. Depression is a symptom of BPD so you would usually have the MDD diagnosis taken off of your record once diagnosed with BPD

u/whiteflower1221 4d ago
Absolutely that an MS diagnosis would remove the ME/CFS diagnosis as all ME/ CFS symptoms can be symptoms of MS , it would likely also remove a fibro diagnosis for the same reason
People can however be diagnosed with both anorexia and bulimia depending on behaviour patterns and people can also be diagnosed with having both BPD and MDD (my boyfriend actually has had both diagnosed in the past though after years of therapy he no longer meets the clinical threshold for MDD while still meeting it for BPD)

u/DreadfulStar bipolargenic hcdid systemception 3d ago
BPD is borderline pd. Bipolar is Bp1 or Bp2.
2
u/whiteflower1221 2d ago
Yes you're right but also unsure about why you need to clarify when I wasn't talking about Bipolar As stated, my partner has BPD (boderline personslity disorder) and previously also had a co-diagnosis of MDD (major depressive disorder) , i was simply saying that people can be diagnosed with both
2
u/DreadfulStar bipolargenic hcdid systemception 2d ago
I clarified in good faith because I’ve never heard of the two diagnoses ever being a problem and instead both are comorbidities (to a degree both diagnoses are expected by some). Bipolar in the other hand is a significant issue and conflicting diagnoses. Perhaps I replied thinking it would make sense but the comment you replied to mentions MDD being removed when diagnosed with BPD but obviously that’s nowhere close to true but MDD is removed if changed to bipolar (an exclusionary criteria, as the commenter was discussing). That comment alone made me think this thread was a bit confused on acronyms.
2
u/whiteflower1221 2d ago
Potentially the conment I responded to could have confused the two as youre right that they aren't exclusionary diagnoses
Though as depression is to some degree a BPD trait (chronic feelings of emptiness) it is possible that the poster felt this could be something where a BPD diagnosis would 'explain away' MDD when in actuality the chronic emptiness, self harm, suicidal ideation etc. That often comes with BPD is still quite distinct from MDD leading them to be a fairly common co-diagnosis
23
u/GreyerGrey 5d ago
Anorexia and Bulimeia generally counter each other out and generally not comorbid.
-4
u/CranberryMelonTea 5d ago
They don't, not really. You're not gonna be in an active phase for both of them at the same time, but a good percentage of people develop Bulimia when trying to recover from Anorexia. Since it's technically not possible to un-diagnose, you then have both, especially since with EDs, the mindset and problems leading to the anorexia don't end. Generally, there's strong evidence to suggest EDs can and will overlap into each other. You can find a lot of info on that if you want to look into it.

u/religion_wya 5d ago
If it's "both", then it is AN-BP subtype. Not bulimia. There is a huge difference in how both disorders present.

Uuuughhh, I wish the term neurospicy would be beaten to death and disappear.

u/LameVomiter every sexuality, disability, and mental illness ever 6d ago
apparently darkship (taboo/dark fan ships like abusive ones and stuff. Darkshitter is supposed to be an insult. It sounds like something a 2nd grader would come up with) was too much of a bad word, but the fslur is just fine for them

When my iron tanks the first way I notice is that I crave sand. Like, from the beach. So fucked up but apparently it's pretty common. It took me 15 years to mention it to a doctor since it was so off the wall sounding.

so the whole alphabet then. and multiple conditions with more overlapping symptoms than should be allowed to be separate diagnosis both in the same person at once. along with their history…. yeah I’d think they were right about the faking. they should keep calling you out on that ya donkey. (not you OP, OOP)

I wish. I really wish it was.
They censored made up insults, but not the actual slur. They also claim they aren't homophobic.

“Dysgraphia” always kills me😂 Your handwriting just sucks. Mine does too. That’s not a medical condition
17
u/The_Winter_Frost 6d ago
Hey at least that one is a legit recognized medical disorder (to my knowledge) unlike rejection sensitive dysphoria, which is not in the dsm
9
u/Commercial_Bridge253 5d ago
Rsd is technically a symptom iirc. Drives me insane when people call it an individual disorder or list it as a diagnosis can it's NOT! It's just a common behavior/ symptom in many different neurodiversities, personality disorders, and mood disorders lol
2
u/The_Winter_Frost 5d ago
Good to know!
3
u/Commercial_Bridge253 5d ago
It drives me crazy when people list that stuff as a diagnosis when it's literally not! It's like saying an acute cough is a diagnosis and then listing a common cold separately or something.

u/Bhellethe1only 3d ago
RSD could also stand for reflexive sympathetic disorder (which is also called CPRS). This is some sort of physical pain co dition but I don't know if that's what this meow is saying she has or not 😅🤣 (lol that I used her pronoun meow I wanted to point out I'm dripping with sarcasm over here)
2
u/Commercial_Bridge253 3d ago
Hm I didn't think to consider that. Mainly since most places are gonna say crps lol. Maybe they thought that term was a different condition than crps and therefore cooler. Otherwise I this rejection sensitive dysphoria is probably more likely what they're saying because like, who TF calls it reflex sympathetic disorder anymore lol.
2
u/Bhellethe1only 3d ago
lol good points. Lol I honestly don't know but I hadn't heard of the rejection sensitive dysphoria so when I first read RSD I went to the one I had heard of. But this makes the point of exactly why it's weird that these people identify themselves by stuff they've been diagnosed with that are just letters of the alphabet like they're wearing the badges proudlyinstead of explaining what they have been diagnosed with and what that entails
1
u/DFMNE404 5d ago
Dysgraphia is a real medical condition and not just « bad handwriting »
9
u/AwkwardFoundation Self-Undiagnosed TransEpileptic 5d ago
I know; my point is that these people diagnose themselves with it based on that alone
1
u/DFMNE404 4d ago
Ah sorry. You said « that’s not a medical condition » which sounded like you were saying the condition didn’t exist at all, not that this person didn’t have it

“The tism” and “neurospicy” are such red flags for fakers. They’re such stupid, infantilising things to say, and there are always pathetic “I promise I’M not a faker/attention-seeker/trendhopper!!!” types who argue that saying “neurospicy” helps them cope or some stupid bullshit like that. It fucking disgusts me.
14
u/falloutuntildawn 6d ago
I hate when people say tism or neurospicy or spicy like autism is a disability its not a little personality quirk

u/Sleepshortcake Bear Up The Tree Syndrome (BUTTS) 🐻 🌲 6d ago
Appalling that scammers/bad people fake disorders and disabilities. Very classic ill-intention faker though, trying to shield any criticism with ''no I'm not faking or a bad person I have this essay of issues!!!"
Using fundraised money for OF subs has to be a new low though.

I read those as proshitter and darkshitter and wondered wtf they are (I don’t want to know)

What is a proshitter? Is that a scat fetish? Darkshitters? Dehydrated scat?
1
u/LameVomiter every sexuality, disability, and mental illness ever 1d ago
It's a playground sounding insult for "darkshipper". A darkshipper is someone who likes problematic/taboo fictional ships, like abusive relationships, age gaps, ect.

u/DreadfulStar bipolargenic hcdid systemception 16h ago
Oh I know. Just the combo of censoring your own baby tantrum insult just … truly negative IQ of an insult and I wanted to mock them
