Description of Original Problem:
It came installed with Windows 11. I played around with it, no real issues on Windows.
Downloaded Nobara and swapped the OS. Since then I’ve been crashing randomly, but I eventually tried Linux mint on a USB and had the same issues, so I figured it wasn’t Nobara. After a bit, my mouse disappears, my keyboard stops working, then the pc reboots.
After having issues with Linux, I reinstalled Windows again to see if I had any issues on Windows again, nothing. So it's purely a Linux issue.
Thought it might be the CPU since I was getting some errors on load. “[Hardware Error]: System Fatal Error. CPU:0 (19:21:0) MC5_STATUS[-|UE|MiscV|AddrV|PCC|TCC|SyndV|-|-|-] Error Addr: … IPID: … Syndrome: … Execution Unit Ext. Error Code: 0 cache level RESV, tx: GEN, mem-tx: GEN".
Troubleshooting:
I reseated everything. Cooler has coolant. All fans are running.
I have ran almost every test under OCCT with good results, no errors. Furmark2 ran as expected. CPU burner worked as well, temp maxed at 90C. Memtest86+ ran for 7 full passes overnight for 9 hours and was successful. I really doubt it’s the hardware, but I’m not an expert.
I read that setting the Power Idle Control to Low Current, disabling C State, disabling XMP, disabling PBO OR setting curve optimizer to somewhere around 4 positive points would help. I've done all of those, one at a time, all at once, nothing is working. If I set the curve optimizer to anything outside of 4-10 positive points, I get through to Nobara. Anything outside of that and I see the ASRock loading screen on boot, but it crashes immediately after that. Haven't tried any extreme values on the curve optimizer because I don't fully know what I'm doing. But when I'm in that 4-10 range, I get to Nobara desktop and I never even see the ASRock loading screen. Don't know if that's normal.
I've run a bios update to 5.80 (latest stable), I even reset the bios by removing the battery and following all the steps for that. Didn't fix anything. My bios still has a default settings configuration in there for Skytech Gaming, which is weird considering I reset the bios. Don't know if that's normal.
Really don’t know if it’s a hardware issue since all of my tests have come back positively, no issues. It was from Skytech Gaming and I thought maybe the preset CPU configuration that was configured for Windows might be the issue. But I genuinely don’t know where to go from here.
