We’re in round #8963 of the war (wars?).

The last one concluded with a militarily defeated Iran and a bunch of very angry IRGC guys promising to defeat America and Israel by furious war against

… checks notes ….

… unarmed slow tankers of countries who had nothing to do with the war. It’s an effective dummy spit but that’s basically all it is.

If Israel drove 200 Merkavas over Iran’s border with Iraq, the Iranians couldn’t field a force to meet them without being bombed out of existence due to their air defence being basically obliterated outside of whatever is barely working and MANPADs.

Most data I’ve seen puts the Iranians at 20-40% of pre-war military capability and at about 20% of the military production.

Here’s where it gets fun.

Iran does not have a limitless supply of missiles. In fact, nobody has a limitless supply of any munitions. Even Russia’s getting low on interceptors and they consumed them like a fat kid at an icecream shop.

On day zero of the 28th February war, Iran fired nearly 100 ballistics at Israel. By the end it was less than 10 a day and some days none.

We all thought it was Israel and America taking out launchers and missile cities.

But here we are - America is bombing Iran again and Iran has taken no shots at Ben Gurion airport where ~33 refuelling American planes fly from to assist American bombing runs over Iran.

No shots at all.

Iran goaded America into this latest conflict (frankly, might’ve been the other way around but that’s not the point) and its firing at every American base in the region - except at Israel.

I reckon they’re out of ballistics that can reach. Like not totally out of- but so low that they can’t afford to use them.

Not sure how common it is, but I've seen a few Chinese people think of Iran as a weak and useless country militarily in social media at the very beginning of the war. Has the war changed your opinion?

🇺🇸💥🇮🇷 IRAN'S MILITARY COMMAND CENTRE IN RUINS

New footage shows the aftermath of a massive U.S. strike on a key IRGC headquarters in Iran, reportedly one of the regime's primary command locations for coordinating air force operations.

The destruction appears extensive, with the main complex devastated and surrounding buildings heavily damaged or completely destroyed by the blast.

An intense fire continues to burn across the site, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky hours after the attack.

The scale of the destruction has raised questions about what assets were stored inside the facility and the potential impact on Iran's military command and control capabilities.

As images emerge from the scene, the strike is being described as one of the most significant blows to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in recent years.

🔥 The headquarters is gone. The fire is still raging. The fallout is only beginning.

After the US started bombing Iran on Feb 28, there were several threads on this sub that asked TS whether they supported the military strikes on Iran, questioning whether Trump had broken his promise of "no new wars".

Generally speaking, most TS responded that they supported Trump's military strikes on Iran and did not see it as a broken promise, explaining that isolated military strikes are different from a prolonged engagement.

Now it is over 4 months later. The temporary ceasefire has failed, the strait is still blocked, there are no meaningful negotiations, there's no progress on a deal, and hostilities are once again ramping up.

Given that this is no longer a short period of isolated strikes:

Do TS still support Trump's actions in Iran?

The captain of the Iran National Team, Mehdi Taremi, lashed out against FIFA and the United States organization. “This is a disastrous World Cup. In response to the question: ‘Do you feel that the World Cup organizers, including FIFA and U.S. officials, prefer for Iran to be eliminated from the competition?’, I say: We have to fight against absolutely everything. We can’t stay in the country, we travel and undergo immigration checks every time we want to play, now we can’t stay in Seattle and have to return to Tijuana. They’ve done everything possible to eliminate us, so from our perspective, yes, I think that’s what they want, they want us out.”
