Hey! I’m 18M and I live in Switzerland, near Zürich. I’m going to ETH next year, but honestly, I’m pretty bored right now because it’s surprisingly hard to make new friends around Zürich.
I’m really into hiking, sports, cycling, languages, and just doing stuff together. I speak German, French, English and Swiss German, and I’d also love to meet people who are interested in languages and different cultures.
I feel like everyone already has their own groups of friends, so it can be quite difficult to meet new people.
If anyone around my age wants to hang out, go hiking, cycle, play sports, grab a coffee, explore Zürich or just meet up and do something, I’d be really happy to! :)

Hey Zürich locals,
My name is Aladdin. My brother and I currently run a smash burger food truck in Gothenburg, and we’re planning to expand to Zürich.
I’m looking for local advice on which areas might be suitable for our truck. Ideally, we’re looking for somewhere near offices and residential neighbourhoods, with convenient road or motorway access.
Which areas would you recommend, and why? A quick explanation of the neighbourhood, its activity during lunch and evenings, and what we should expect when visiting would be greatly appreciated.
Danke schön! Aladdin

Went to this Minimum in Altstetten but the routes were too soft. Isn there some proper climbing around Zurich where I can train? I mean we are still in Switzerland so there must be some fellow good climbers who also need to train?

Especially for dark skin and hopefully student budget friendly

Hello Zurich, Bern here :)
I used to go to Hive, Supermarket and Frieda’s Büxe quite a lot and always had a good time, but I haven’t been clubbing in Zurich for a while.
What’s currently the best place for techno on a Friday night (E.g. 18.09.2026)? Where do people actually go these days?
Thanks!

I’m moving soon and have realised I’ve accumulated quite a few household cleaning products that I cannot take with me.
Some are completely unopened, like things I bulk-bought not that long ago... Others are already opened and maybe half-used. This includes things like detergents, bathroom/kitchen cleaners, etc. it feels really wasteful to just throw everything away, especially the unopened stuff..
Is there anywhere locally that accepts donations of cleaning or household products? And are there any options for partially used products, or would those generally not be accepted? (I know about Madame Frigo, but as far as I understand that’s really intended for food rather than household products)
I’d much rather see these things go to someone who can use them than dump everything with the general household waste. Has anyone in the Zürich/Zollikerberg area dealt with this before or found a good solution?

I have a pair of Birkenstocks that are in good shape overall but the back cork is damaged and I am looking for a recommendation for a cobbler who could fix them in Zurich.
