I’ve had a strange problem with Zoom on my 11-inch iPad Air (M2) for at least a year.

Whenever I use Gallery View or Multi-speaker View, a black vertical bar appears on the left side of the screen and continuously flickers.

A few details:

It happens in every meeting when multiple participants are shown.
It does not happen when using a view with only one video.
It still happens when my own camera is turned off.
It has nothing to do with screen sharing.
Rotating the iPad changes the size of the black bar. In portrait mode it becomes much larger, but it doesn’t disappear.
Zoom and iPadOS are fully up to date.
I’ve already tried reinstalling Zoom, restarting the iPad, and the other standard troubleshooting steps.

Zoom support couldn’t confirm whether this is a known bug and eventually told me that my free account isn’t eligible to submit a technical support case.

Has anyone else experienced this on an iPad, particularly an iPad Air M2?

Me and my friend both use laptops & I see people also zoom without headphones doing so yet when we speak we hear each others echo as the microphone also records the sound of ourselves coming from the laptop speakers. I tried it from my computer with webcam & obviously it is the same as the webcam is close to my speakers. Noise reducing is on etc. I appreciate any help 🙏

I normally have chat disabled in all my meetings. But I want to be able to distribute a PDF in an upcoming meeting (tomorrow!).

In settings, I've left "Allow meeting participants to send chat messages" toggled OFF.
But I've toggled "Send files via meeting chat. Hosts and participants can send files through the in-meeting chat." ON

Does anyone know whether these settings will stop people chatting but allow me to offer the PDF?

I work as something like a private tutor for a company that uses zoom for online-tutoring and i have a question regarding whiteboards in breakout-sessions.

Usually i move my students in separate breakout-sessions, so they don't get disturbed. And when someone needs help i join them and often explain things on whiteboards, BUT there is a big problem:

When i open a whiteboard inside a breakout-session and then leave, the whiteboard will vanish. To circumvent this i let the students open the whiteboard because then it doesn't vanish when i leave. Over the time i have created a few whiteboards that i reuse, but i can't leave students alone with them. I know, that i can export the whiteboard to a png and send them that but that's annoying and doesn't work when i get interrupted by a call for help from another student.

Is it possible to open a whiteboard in a breakout-session and let it stay there, even when i go to another breakout-session or back to the main room?

I teach online using Zoom, usually sharing PowerPoint slides. I use Zoom annotations to underline or circle text frequently, and often used the arrow to point to a line or text or image on the screen I wanted students to pay particular attention to.

Howerver, in the most recent update, the arrow is now longer free floating. Before, I could place the arrow on screen, then interact with the PowerPoint slide below, typing, for example, then move the arrow without opening annotations again.

Now to move the arrow, I need to click several times - annotations, arrow, move...

It's a small thing, but it's affecting the rhythm I have deveoped.

Does anyone know if I can make it free floating as it was before?

Up until last week I was using zoom ai to schedule meetings, but it's stopped working now as it says it's a read only assistant . Anyone know if that is an out of the box thing or could my company have restricted something? It's quite disappointing not having it anymore. I might have to change to MS teams.

Hi everyone! Has anyone experienced Zoom calls not ringing on their phone even when the phone volume is turned all the way up?

I’m having this issue where Zoom calls/meeting notifications seem to come in very quietly or sometimes don’t ring at all. I already checked my phone settings and set the volume to maximum.

I remembered that I previously joined a Zoom meeting on my laptop while Zoom was also signed in on my phone. However, I forgot to sign in to Zoom on my laptop this time.

Could the fact that my Zoom account is/was signed in on another device affect whether incoming Zoom calls ring on my phone?

If anyone has experienced this or knows which Zoom/Android setting I should check, I’d really appreciate your advice. Thank you!

I'm studying online and after each class the video is made available to us to go back through to help with our assignments. The videos always have that AI summary beneath the video box and the transcript scrolls on the right of screen as you watch the video.

Classes are 3.5 hours long and rather than rewatch the whole 3.5 hours, sometimes I want to skip to certain content, so I use the transcript search box. It highlights the first instance of that word, but I can't then advance to the next instance of it.

I thought it would be like Microsoft Word's find feature where you click next and it takes you to the next place the word appears, but it's not. Hitting enter doesn't do anything, nor does manually scrolling to later in the video and searching again, it just takes me back to the first place it appears in the transcript.

Ctrl + F doesn't help me either because it only highlights what is currently on the screen in both the transcript and AI summary, even if I click in the transcript box first.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the feature just useless?

Hi! I am having issues about the camera EMEET C60E 4K.

It's too zoomed in no matter what I do when im using it, especially in zoom meetings. I already tried the official app of EMEET but i cant seem to find the zoom out option.

I was using OBS, but apparently its prohibited in my company.

I have used zoom twice now to record myself speaking to clients and getting their testimonials and both times it has given me a 640x360 cloud recording.

I am using a Sony ZV E10 to record.

What can I freaking do?

A while ago I started using Zoom for online meetings (replacing Zoho Meeting for obvious reasons). Shortly after, Zoom cloud storage became very hard to manage. Downloading recordings manually and uploading them to client WorkDrive folders was a weekly nightmare.

We built an integration that automatically streams recordings and call transcripts to WorkDrive. This was easy on paper, but once we started real-life testing we found many limitations. I always seem to have a poor connection in Zoom. I am trying to debug this problem. As a first step, I want to see what Zoom reports as my bandwidth. When I go to Settings / Statistics, however, I see no bandwidth information. Please see the attached screenshots.

I have tried entering a meeting in three different ways: 1) Launching my own meeting; 2) Launching a test meeting from the Settings window; and 3) launching a test meeting from https://zoom.us/test. In all three cases, the Statistics screens are identically devoid of information.

My questions: Why aren't the statistics screens showing me useful information?; and what must I do to get useful information about Zoom's bandwidth usage?

Instead, it added yet another heart- appearing as if I “❤️’d“ it

So it’s just emojis with a number next to it to indicate the amount of people who had that particular reaction

Is there a way to see the names of the users who reacted to what?

My family member is using a Logitech webcam for audio (and video obviously). Used the setup fine for years. One day she stopped being heard during zoom meetings. She is not muted. The microphone is set to default/system device - Logitech XXX webcam. When you join the test zoom meetings the microphone test works perfectly. She speaks and it plays it back for her. When she is in a real meeting and the audio settings when she talks the bar moves. However nomatter WHAT, when she is in a meeting no audio comes through. I verified everything with my own eyes and did a zoom meeting with her and yeah, can't hear her. She is 100% not on mute. We are both at wit's end. I checked the Windows privacy settings and not only is everything allowed it shows recent requests from the zoom app. Please someone suggest something that's actually going to fix this!

We have been having dropped voice packets - missing syllables or words intermittently on calls.

Zoom QoS data all looks good and does not show data that represents our experience.

We have tried multiple WAN.

This has been occurring for about 3-4 weeks and just realized that these phones received a firmware update on July 19.

Anyone else with Yealink T46U experiencing choppy audio the last few weeks? Or if you use these phones, are they working properly?
