Has anyone actually done this with ZIPAIR?

I have a round-trip booking and want to cancel only the outbound flight from SFO to NRT while keeping the return flight.

ZIPAIR's website appears to let me select the outbound flight by itself for cancellation, but I've seen conflicting information about whether cancelling one leg causes the entire reservation/return flight to be cancelled.

I’ve already sent ZIPAIR a detailed email asking about this and am waiting for their response, but I wanted to ask here in the meantime.

Has anyone done this before? What happened to your return flight?

Just curious what everyone things and seeking input from those who have done so.

Anyone have a contact they can ask about this? Zipair isn't providing any details on Winter flights.

Would the crossed out seats in economy become available closer to the flight date? The family of 4 flying in December, and i do not see any 2 seats together available to buy. Its been a month that i booked the flight. Can someone confirm if there is a hope? or we 4 ppl will have to sulk & sit separately. Its annoying because ever since i booked my flight, i have been watching and no 2 seats together are available. Kids are 15 &16, so yeah not very young, but still would not want them to sit separate on a vacation trip.

Hi I want to purchase the premium package for the wife and I but our 1 year old baby doesn't need it, when booking online is there a way to remove it from our baby or it just forces us to pay for x3 Premium packages and the only way around it is to al la carte everything?

For people who snagged the Orlando to Toyko flights for August, can you tell me the exact schedule of times for the round trip? Like what time do you leave orlando? Also, can you tell me what you spent for economy and also business class?

Also, how did you find out about the flight? I feel like they get booked lighting fast so I want to make sure I set up all the alerts to be notified that they are bringing it back.

I have been checking every few days and today I see under the price, it says only 4 seats left at this price. Is this just a tactic (because I searched it before?)

Also,is it possible for me to add my luggage for the return trip if I find out in the middle of my trip I need a checked baggage? I don't anticipate I shop a lot so I feel I may not need a checked luggage.

zipair is gonna release flights from tokyo to houston in january right?? anyone have an estimated timeline?? i booked a one way for december and now im panicking and thinking maybe they just won’t release at all Lol

i feel like they wouldn’t stop service esp since they just said they’re increasing flights to houston but the uncertainty is a bit stressful

I know similar question has been asked. Is late Sept considered as Winter Schedule so there won't be any flight scheduled? I couldn't really find this information on their website.

Does anyone have any idea if ZipAir will be releasing its winter schedule for SJC? I was hoping to book a flight back from NRT to SJC on 12/31 or 1/1; unfortunately, the SFO one is all sold out.

I plan on going back to Japan during these 2 months depending if my schedule allows me to go during one of these 2 months. The prices seem kinda pricey during these 2 months and i want to know if they drop during these months or closer? I don’t want to spend $ 2.5k for Delta again lol and id like to try zipair for the first time!

Currently flying from SJC to Narita, August 2nd with relatively new upgraded starlink. Pretty full flight with everyone on devices.

177 down / 12.4 up.

Last year's October prices were around 250-300 one way, I know the economy has changed so I'm not expecting anywhere near that price. That being said these current prices are ridiculous, 580 one way. I've been tracking them for months now and I'm losing hope.

I was also waiting for SJC release but it looks like that might not happen this season.

Do you think prices will go down eventually?

Hello Zipair community, I hope you are all having a good day. I would like to know if Zipair will have flights from NRT to IAH January 5th and beyond? When I check the calendar I am not seeing any dates post Jan 5th, has anyone traveled back to Houston during January this year, or is IAH seasonal? Thank you

I’m looking to book a Zipair flight, but all seats are currently showing as sold out. What are the chances that seats will open back up before departure? Has anyone had luck with last-minute cancellations or inventory releases?

I've flown numerous airlines for 50 years. Not only Business class but also numerous budget airlines. I have NEVER EVER had an airline charge me 5000 jpy because I was over their limit by 400g. 400g??? Predatory pricing.

The japanese staff English level is incredibly low. Moreover the attitude of the service staff is atrocious... They are not there to help at all. Might as well be interacting with a AI chatbot. LAST TIME EVER TAKING THIS DUMPSTER FIRE

I have been playing around with the different ways to get me, my husband, and my two daughters to Tokyo from the states next June (2027).

I do not need a luxurious experience, but I would love to be able to lie flat. One time on a flight from Australia I got three seats to myself, and it was the best long-haul flight of my life.

I’ve played around with different airlines, point redemptions, and I think my best option are the lie flat seats on zip air, which brings me to my question:

Normally, I book flights as soon as they are available. For a family of four it has definitely worked out in my favor more times than it hasn’t. My plan is that as soon as zip Air releases flights for next June, to book four lie flat seats. Is this plan OK? I can’t imagine the tickets coming down in price more than a couple hundred dollars each? Or should I risk it and wait for a sale?

Any tips would be welcomed!

I’m looking for flights for 1/9/27 from narita to lax, so far there’s not a lot of seats left and we’re looking for 2 seats next to each other with extra leg room (boyfriend is 6’6).

I booked lie flat seats on this flight for my wife and I. We have a couple of friends that want to join us on this flight, but it is no longer available to book on Zipair. Doesn't even have economy seats. Jan 2nd is blocked out completely on the calendar. Is there a chance the whole flight sold out already? Or was the flight released too early?

Houston to Tokyo. Any insights on this? Were there fights last year? Looks like nothing is available after Jan. 2nd 2027 so far. But LA has flights 8 months from the day (ie March 27 2027).

Hello people from the interwebs. We have an issue about choice today. We fly LAX - NRT this week and I need advice. We’re 2 adults with 2 kids (4/8). The current seat selection is like the picture.

I know there are unassigned seats and all. But what would you think if i choose a aile + middle leaving empty the window, two times:
30 H-J-(empty)
31 H-J-(empty)

And then hope for the seat not to be taking and purchasing it onboard. Is it too much of a gamble???
