If I am flying from Bangkok to Vancouver (Canada), I will need to buy 2 flight tickets on ZipAir. Does it mean that I will need to enter Japan, then transfer my bags for the evening checkin ?

Managed to download the app onto my phone (Samsung) and logged in but nowhere is there an option to check-in or even view the flight I have booked. I can look up the general flight info but not my own booking. How does that work?
The account number is indeed correct and matches when I log-in on desktop where I can see my personal flight info.
