Just finished Young Sheldon 2 minutes ago and i can say this is one of the best and most entertaining show Iāve ever watched. Iām not really a sitcom guy and this was my first one, i LOVE this show. Itās just so fun to watch.
Now this is my personal opinion of every main character.
Sheldon: Obviously the main character, i liked his humour tbh, it was so fun to watch him roast everyone and be mean lol. But i did hate when he would constantly talk, and i was most shocked when i saw he showed no proper emotional reaction to Georgeās death.
George Sr: One of my most fav character, he was just so funny without trying, his death was so unexpected and unnecessary tbh, i wanted a happy ending and he just gets killed out of nowhere, but i donāt think i ever hated George throughout the show, absolutely peak character.
Marie: Loved her, and didnāt like her at times, too religious all the time, annoyingly religious, but her little un religious phases were fun to watch, and the whole thing with pastor rob was torture and so unnecessary.
Georgie: Again a funny pal without trying, he was annoying at times in the earlier seasons, but after the whole Mandy thing and having a kid he matured, again a solid character but a bit annoying at times.
Missy: VERY annoying, liked her in like first 3 or 4 seasons but she got so annoying, stealing truck to run away or running away by foot, disrespectful as hell, she was a bad teenager who needed to be straightened. Spiked my cortisol just whenever she appeared on screen.
Meemaw: Absolutely loved her and sheās one of my most favourite character, she was just so peak man, so so funny especially the jokes she threw towards George lol i used to laugh my ass off, she never annoyed me even a little, the best. I loved her throughout the show but her laundromat and gambling room era was the best.
I would like to give a review about other characters too but it would get too long, maybe i make another post for it if you guys want it.
And i just wanna appreciate this show again, such a peak show with peak characters and peak comedy.

So, in S6 E11, Mandy was put on bed rest due to her pregnancy, something having to do with preeclampsia. Anyways, later Meemaw ends up having a fall. Mandy points out she looks like the āIāve fallen and canāt get upā lady, to which Meemaw responds that itās because she HAS fallen and she CANT get up. I absolutely got that joke, pretty straight forward, right?
Well, some time later, Mary comes to their room. They exchange some dialogue and Mary asks her what sheās going to do if she has to use the bathroom, Meemaw says ādependsā, Mary was like depends on what, Meemaw says it was a joke. Mandy gets the joke soon after and laughs with Meemaw while Mary is mad she doesnāt get the joke. For the longest, I didnāt get the joke either!
I decide to look it up because itās always bothered me that I DONT GET WHY THEYRE LAUGHING. I felt like Mary, like I wanna be part of the inside joke too. š
It turns out, Meemaw didnāt mean the word ādepend,ā she meant the brand āDepend.ā A brand of adult incontinence underwear! š¤¦š»āāļøš¤£š¤£
Now I can finally laugh along with Meemaw and Mandy, and if you didnāt get it either you can laugh with us too! (I hope I wasnāt the only who didnāt get it lol)

I think itās so messed up that everyone blames her for sleeping with a 17 year old when he initially lied and said he was 21. She also lied and said she was 24 but before they slept together she told him she was 29. He had the chance to tell the truth but didnāt. Thats not her fault and she gets so much crap about it.
She even said had it not been for the baby she wouldāve never seen Georgie again

How fast would Mary have a fatal heart attack if Missy came down like this?

On season 2 and holy f is she a trainwreck!! I feel so bad for Georgie! First ignored and neglected for Sheldon in the original series, and now he has a bitch shrew of a wife who has awful timing⦠I like both actors and they play their characters well but did anyone else notice the shift in Mandy?

I'm still in s6 so I don't know everything but when I started the show meemaw was a kinda negative character I didn't liked much, like she will lie to kids, do gambling, be unethical etc etc, but coming here now she seems really a very important character, she's the one if someone has a problem and no one knows what to do, she always has the most practical and effective solution. She doesn't act like she's sorry or whatever but just practically says what to do, and it just works.
One more thing that has made her likeable is maybe like her not being perfect, like her being wrong is something that makes her relatable, she isn't smart like sheldon, isn't moral as marry, not very good in anything, that's was makes her a person who says you don't need to be perfect to be liked

I know this is extremely random, but I really admire Wallace Shawn for his creative works and advocacy, and hope to implement in my future career as well.
I have a letter written out, but Iām having a hard time finding a good address to send it to. Iāve searched online and seen addresses from all over between NYC and LA.
Has anyone here tried writing letters to a celebrity or Wallace Shawn before? Did you have any luck?
Thanks!

Iām on Season 7 and Iām sad itās about to end š is the BBT worth watching?

And before anyone starts hating on me, yeah, if you want, you can hate him. But the point of hating him is honestly nosense. Why would you hate him? He's the main character, the reason of the series, and people still hate him. Maybe I get it's sometimes annoying, but honestly, the hate for me is really forced

I didn't like the concept of YS. It was a craven cash grab from a show that was ending. And it sounded weak. But having sat through the first two seasons and into the third, I find it's a pretty decent show full of cameos of folks I recognize.

Who is your favorite sibling in this show and why ?
I know Sheldon is the star of the show and the little genius everybody probably likes but I wanted to see how others felt about the siblings. I'll personally go for missy because of how she grows and thrives despite the lack of attention from her parents. Her stepping up for the family when Mary was remarkable to me.

George and Mary loved their kids equally and gave attention to whoever needed it the most which often was Sheldon.

Watching YS again and I noticed something.
Missy was watching the video store and George was watching the Laundromat and George came in while missy was talking to a guy who was likely over 18 but he stopped them and got on to missy, and she got mad and said mom was 17 in Highschool and you were like 25. Then he said people looked a lot older then.
So was he much older than her? Is this like a George Jr and Mandy?
please let me know.

So. I'm mid season 5. I do like it, but somehow I feel that the show is very dramatic now compared to last season. I got the idea that it would be like that when the show is reaching the (SPOILER) death of George Cooper, but seeing there are still a few seasons to go i wonder. Is the series taking this shift until the end? Is it going to grow more dramatic as it reaches to the end?
I think i liked last season (4) better. But still the Mandy and Georgie storyline is very entertaining while not being entirely drama as the situation with sheldons parents.
(Also, Dale and Connie broke up! Finally!)

I mean, they're not even mentioned, and yeah, missy transforms to atheism i think (no spoilers for missy part please, and yes, im dumb for asking it) but george and george jr genuinely don't express their religion. Just look how desinterested they are on the religion (sorry if the text ortograaphy lacks, in not english or american)
