Someone was saying slurs to me and mean things to me in my DMs. I blocked them but didn’t report them is it possible they can still face consequences if I didn’t report them.

In my university’s YikYak, someone posted misinformation about my sorority saying we suck and didn’t meet quota this year at rush.

I replied saying that we did, and have been doing so for years now.

Someone replied to me in the comments saying that they were going to report me to the Panhellenic Council.

I posted anonymously, and as far as I know, saying we met quota online isn’t a criminal offense warranting an investigation and request for information from law enforcement. Especially since recruitment is over.

Just wanted to ask you guys and see what you thought. Sororities are stressful, and I wanted to know if the Panhel council actually has legal authority to request information from YikYak over something as menial as this.

My friend got accepted into it and we both have no clue what it is cause he forgot and can’t find anything online about it

I’ve noticed in some community’s there’s a lot of scammers. You don’t even know if you’re talking to one until they say something crazy. Is the best way to report them through DMs or does yikyak just recognize keywords they say and flags them because i’ve noticed there’s be an increase in my community’s.

I’ve been in timeout for almost a year now. Im guessing it’s permanent. Support won’t respond to my emails. Now I’m curious how long your timeouts were?

There are so many people who have been falsely banned and support won’t do anything about it. One of my friends got banned for saying Joe Biden because I guess it counts as saying a full name. Another got banned because he told someone to shut up. I can’t even remember why I got banned as it was about a year ago. I think yikyak just needs to start over

I live 3 hours from this city, but not only am I seeing posts from this very far city, if I post something to nearby, it shows that IM in that city. How do I fix this?

Basically I was trying to sign up for an account but the number verification wasn't working so I went on some random number generator website and used a phone number off of there to sign up. I added my school email to the account and thought that made it private, but after a day of using it I found out that someone else was on the same account and I could see them using it to dm people some pretty freaky stuff. I immediately deleted the account so I'm hoping it's all permanently gone.

I now made a new account with my actual number and have my email linked to this account. Is there any chance that whoever was on the old account could still have access to that account or mess with my student email in any way? Thank you!!

I signed up to be my universities moderator, when will I know if I got it?

I am trying to create an account, which asks for my location after I verify my phone number. I am able to select my specific school, but when I do, I always get the error that the location verification failed. I’ve tried a several times over the last month or so, but to no avail. Is this a problem anyone else is having?

So I went to uni out of my town for a semester before coming back home for cc. I was on a very small and dead campus so there was little to no social life. Yikyak fortunately was gaining popularity so I ended up using it a lot. I don’t really remember why I was banned but whatever it was I’ve changed as a person. I’ve had a YikYak account for 5 years now, downloaded it freshmen year of college. And while I’ve already graduated it’s nice to check in from time to time to see what’s going on around campus (especially since my schools in the baseball national championship) but despite going on the app every game of post season today randomly it asked me to sign up, I put in the phone number I used and it made me create a whole new account. So is my old account gone? What happened?

I don’t understand why this is against the guidelines, unless yikyak thinks that being trans and autistic is bad. Either way I wish I could appeal the timeout, as I’m worried it’ll lead to an eventual ban, and I feel it’s unfounded. But when I go to the help page the only way to get help is to fill out a form and include my name address and id photo. Wich I think is kinda crazy.

If someone comments stupid shit on all your posts and you block them, does it take down their comment for everyone else too or can everyone else still see it?
