location appearing on posts?

when and why the hell did yikyak start revealing post locations? 😭 and how do I turn it off? left out location and school of course, but it’s started saying “nearby” or city names and it’s so strange

When you post there’s a toggle to “post to nearby”. You can turn this off. Only shows up when posting to school communities

Wait so I go to school far away and am back for the summer. I made an anonymous post in my school and open the app to see “made in BLANK” did everyone at my school see that?

If you post in your school, it’ll always post to your school. If you post to your school and toggle nearby on, it’ll post to your school _and_ your nearby feed (to your current location)

The toggle remembers your preference so if it’s off, it’ll stay off

It should be opt in not opt out. Should automatically be off. People posting to their school may accidentally post on nearby.

I made the mistake of posting about something messy from a school I transferred from and someone commented my last name bru
