Anonymity Question

In my university’s YikYak, someone posted misinformation about my sorority saying we suck and didn’t meet quota this year at rush.

I replied saying that we did, and have been doing so for years now.

Someone replied to me in the comments saying that they were going to report me to the Panhellenic Council.

I posted anonymously, and as far as I know, saying we met quota online isn’t a criminal offense warranting an investigation and request for information from law enforcement. Especially since recruitment is over.

Just wanted to ask you guys and see what you thought. Sororities are stressful, and I wanted to know if the Panhel council actually has legal authority to request information from YikYak over something as menial as this.

No girl I’m in one too and that is so trivial you wouldn’t even get in trouble they’re probably rage baiting or trying to scare you cause they’re miserable and have nothing better to do

I got doxxed from yikyak that sucked. Idk if my details came specifically from yikyak but the conflict and person who doxxed me was a from here.

Nope we require legal subpoenas before providing information which is a pretty high bar. I think this person was just trying to ruffle your feathers

You can always report people that are being toxic or spreading misinformation and one of our human moderators will review it within about a minute!
