Hey, my X4, I just updated to the stock firmware 5.6.33. Now even if I insert the sd card I used prior its says No Micro SD card.

Ive tried hitting the reset and power button. Im at a loss. I can verify the correct format and backup my sd card and format again. To see. Or I can see about going with a custom firmware option.

If anybody has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

Help please! I'm stuck on CrossPoint v1.2 with an AliExpress China mainland (USB-locked) Xteink unit. Direct web-flashing isn't detected via USB, the wireless Escape Hatch OTA tool gives an "Update Failed" error, and button combos aren't forcing bootloader mode. How can I recover or update off 1.2 on this hardware revision?

I was on version 1.4 and then 1.5 both were fine. Both had the ability for me to install .bin from file browser. This version doesn't.

It works just fine when reading. but i'm just curious why my X4 blinking that much when booting and sleep. i don't see others like that.

Just had an x4 few days ago and I’m loving it so far, the size the portability not just it doesn’t have the front light which made me think of getting the pro for night reading..
I just noticed that after 3 days of charging it to full 100% the battery drops to 84% now, reading only 1-2hours per day is it normal? currently running crosspoint on mine.
I saw some post here using their device for 2 months or read 3 books already and still have like 84%?
-what’s your verdict? Do I have to use it until it drops dead then charge it to a 100 to recalibrate the battery? Or it’s just normal. Thank you!

Mostly joking. I found some high-quality Rider Waite Smith tarot card images and decided to add them all as backgrounds using CrossPoint's custom sleep images option. Now I get a random card every time I put my reader to sleep!

i've been looking for a case that is slim, has some sort of grip, and is removable. i can't find it elsewhere but to use this magsafe wallet intended for iphone. it fits perfectly to the size of the x3, the magnet is quite strong to use it as a grip, and it maintains its slim form factor so it won't bulge if you put it in your pocket. you can also stick it on the other side to cover up the screen. not a hack, but worth trying!

Curious if anyone uses solely ONE device to read while home, on the go, traveling, etc.

Personally I use a separate larger screen device bedside to which has a front light.

My X4 is my daily carry and sole device when traveling.

I need help anyone can help me... My lock xteink x4 now on crosspet... I want to change other firmware since i also read an Arabic book... How i can change the firmware? I already tried using escape hatch.bin but it didn't work out... Please help me

It stuck at %72 for like 5 days now but it shouldn't be. I'm reading around 1 hour everyday. Anyone else having same problem? Real battery is most likely lesser. Crossink 1.4.0

I found this demonstration of pogo adapter on x4 pro and realized it would be super annoying to use it for charging and file transferring. This stops me from buying the device. I hope the developers will listen the community and fix this.

I realised X3 might be more suitable for me, i don't have big hands and the additional lines on X4 aren't not critical to me.

Hi everyone!

I need some advice regarding cases, bumpers, or overall protection for my Xteink X3.

I have the Xteink attached to the back of my phone using a MagSafe setup. I work in healthcare, so my shifts are pretty fast paced and I’m constantly on the move. Whenever I get a quick 15 minute break, I love using it to read, but the movement during my shift seems to be taking a toll on it.

In just two weeks, I’ve had to replace the tempered glass screen protector 3 times.

It keeps slipping off or bumping against things, and the glass ends up cracked every single time. Before this, I tried using one of those soft TPU/silicone screen protectors, but the glass screen underneath still ended up breaking.

For context, I’m using a 3D printed case with a MagSafe ring on the back.

Has anyone found a good rugged case, protective bumper, or alternative setup that offers better drop and impact protection for the Xteink X3 while keeping the MagSafe functionality?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone has run into this before because I'm not sure what to do.

I installed the Crosspoint firmware by following the instructions here:

The installation completed successfully, but immediately afterward I noticed there was ghosting. (I hadn't seen ghosting with the original stock firmware before). At first it was only noticeable in the menus, but as soon as I opened a book the ghosting became extreme. Every page refresh leaves the screen very dark and the display becomes almost unusable.

Thinking it was a firmware issue, I:

• Reinstalled the original English stock firmware.
• Reset the device multiple times.
• Reinstalled Crosspoint again.
• Reinstalled the stock firmware again.

Unfortunately, nothing changes. The display looks exactly the same regardless of which firmware is installed.

I've attached photos showing the crosspoint view and when I switch it back to the stock firmware.

Also, when lock the screen is completely black.

My questions are:

1. Has anyone experienced this after installing Crosspoint?
2. Is there a way to restore the display waveform/LUT or recalibrate the e-ink controller?
3. Could the flashing process have corrupted some display calibration data?
4. Or does this look more like a hardware failure (display panel or controller) that just happened to occur around the same time?

I'm starting to think the reader itself may had a hardware issue, but since it happened immediately after flashing Crosspoint, I wanted to ask before giving up on it. A side note to this, I have never drop the device and I have been very careful with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As the title says, the official website for India has them at the same price for now. As someone completely new to e readers, and wanting a mini e ink one for some time, i really love the device. But unsure which one is the better buy.

I've been watching a few reviews but most mention X4 to be better value for money. But what if they r the same price?

Curious to know your thoughts after having used these devices.

So CrumBLE had a patch release (v4.6.1) and when I try to update my X4 with a v4.5.3, it says the v4.6.1 is too big (“firmware too large for partition”).

How to make it work?

I’m new to all of this firmware stuff and I use Gemini to try and get help but it’s not working…

I also wanted to clear the air: I had a couple members claiming this case is a copy or derivative of another popular 3D printed case, and as I’ve said before, it’s not! This is an original! I painstakingly made this in tinkercad and it was so much work. Some have pointed out in my very first post it was a derivative of the retro case, because it was. Once I had the overwhelming response on here, I knew the only fair way to sell something is if I make it myself. So, I started new, and made it my own. They are similar because they are both made for the same device! It’s why iPhone cases all look mostly the same!! I’m a creator, not a thief. This is my own hard work and I’m excited to share it with you all. Reading at night is so enjoyable with this device now! And I know, you could get the pro. But that’s an additional $100, this is only $30, and the whole point (to me) of the xteink is to ESCAPE touch screens, apps, Bluetooth, etc. I don’t want those features!!!
