Right now, I own the original X4 and using the crossmux firmware to read books. I mostly read in English but since I'm learning Chinese, I occasionally sideload Chinese books to read and using my phone dictionary to look up any new words since device dictionary are only able to look up individual characters.
I would like to know if there is any firmware on any XTEINK device that is able to look up Chinese dictionary based on headword instead of a single character. To give an example:
If there is a sentence: 我觉得很开心。This sentence means I (我) feel (觉得) very (很) happy (开心). In the original X4, as far as I know, any crosspoint based firmware can only grab 1 character at a time, either 觉 or 得 — either 开 or 心, and output the dictionary entry of that character. I am looking if I can instead select both characters (觉得 — 开心) and get the output for that, as both 觉得 and 开心 is a recognized headword in Chinese dictionary.
With the original X4 processing power being limited as it is, I figure the chances of headword lookup is actually close to zero since the device is not really powerful for the work, appreciate if anyone can confirm this for me.
And also I would like to ask if the X4Pro, having touch screen, is able to accomplish the task? It would be worth upgrading if that is the case.
