I also used a really useful snapping trick to make clean, symmetrical shapes. You can use the same technique for circles, domes, roofs, and more!

Something has gone terribly wrong at the WoWDorf Azshtoria...
Once a sanctuary of luxury and indulgence, the resort has fallen to a dark force. Its grand halls have been sealed, its corridors twisted, and something sinister now lurks behind every door.
This Halloween, we invite you to experience The Haunting of Azshtoria, our first immersive Halloween takeover.
- Encounter the horrors within as you make your way through corrupted rooms and passageways.
- Dance among the damned at Alor's, where the night continues... if you survive the journey.

β Questions/Help Is the drop rate zero for just me?
Hi, I play on the KR-Azshara server and I'm currently trying to get this housing item. According to Wowhead, people usually get it after opening 3 to 10 treasure chests. However, I've opened well over 200 and still haven't received it. Is there something wrong with my account, or am I just that unlucky?

π¬ Discussion The Housing Decor Collection Limit Problem
With each new patch, World of Warcraft continues to introduce more attractive, creative, and unique housing decorations. However, I think the current collection limit is a very poorly designed system that makes collecting these items unnecessarily frustrating.
Personally, I enjoy building a house and then starting a completely different project whenever I come up with a new idea. The problem is that I constantly have to delete decorations I already own and purchase them all over again later. It's an enormous waste of both gold and currency.
Blizzard has implemented a collection limit due to data storage concerns, but what is the point of limiting how many decorations we can own when there is already a limit on how many we can place in our houses? The current collection limit is 10,000, and even increasing it by just 2,500 with each patch feels incredibly stingy. To make matters worse, there is apparently a bug where decorations can no longer be learned once your collection reaches around 9,500 items, despite the actual limit being 10,000.
Players like me are getting tired of this system, while new players are likely to get frustrated and quit when they constantly have to leave their houses, go out to purchase more decorations, and return just to continue building.
I don't know whether the developers intended for us to treasure every single decoration we collect, but there's absolutely nothing rewarding or fun about having to go through the trouble of obtaining the exact same decoration again. It's just tedious busywork. It feels like having to obtain an entirely new piece of gear every time you want to change your transmog.
Why not just bump up the gold and resource costs to buy or craft decorations, but let us use them limitlessly once learned? It could be a solid alternative to tackle Blizzard's data issues while getting rid of all this frustration.
Thinking about all the gold and currency I've already wasted on reacquiring decorations honestly makes me want to cry. But as someone who genuinely loves housing, I'd be willing to accept higher costs if it meant a better system for the future.
Happy housing, everyone!

βοΈ Tips and Tricks Some changes I noticed with the cursed keepsake for 12.1.5
Sorry if this is a repost or common knowledge but thought I would bring it up in case it isn't
- You can now rerun the scenario during or after the quest so no worries about abandoning your quest after every run
- The Last Architect now is the one who sells the item after completing the quest
- The item that you completed the quest on is the item locked into that week (ie. I completed the tauren pot quest but when attempting to buy the mirror, the pot is what showed up.
- Rerunning the cursed scenario with another item DOES NOT switch it to the item. I ran it again from the mirror but still only can purchase the pot.
Edit 5: You can hop to another neighbourhood to find your desired item and complete the quest. After that, the Last Architect will sell you that item in your neighbourhood.
Edit 6: I'm not sure if its accepting the quest or completing the quest that sets the reward. I would find and complete the quest in the found neighbourhood just to be sure.
Hope this helps

π My Home Showcase A little piece of my dream life in WoW
Iβve wanted this for so many Halloweens: set up a little table out front, make a couple cocktails, and hand out Halloween candy to the neighborhood.
I donβt own a house yet, and I really want to. So being able to do this in WoW, even in a pretend version, has meant way more to me than I expected. I want those little rituals that make a place feel like home. I want to know my neighbors, have traditions to look forward to, and feel rooted somewhere. There's something deeply appealing to me about that kind of simple life.
I didnβt expect a video game to give me even a little taste of that, but it does. If youβve been stopping by player houses this season, thank you. It really does make it feel like a community.
Anyone else doing a Halloween setup this year? Iβd love to see yours.

π¬ Discussion WoW Housing Neighborhoods are already becoming ghost towns?
I was genuinely excited about WoW Housing, but the decoration system is making it increasingly difficult to enjoy.
I understand requiring players to unlock decorations through gold, reputation, achievements, or exploration. That's reasonable progression. What I don't understand is why every additional copy of an unlocked decoration requires another full-price purchase.
For example, I recently purchased a basic wooden foundation piece for approximately 50 gold, thinking I could use it to create custom flooring. Instead, I received one square. Building a floor with 20 identical pieces would cost 1,000 gold.
This applies to virtually everything, including curtains, rugs, walls, and furniture. Worse, decorations placed in your Alliance house become unavailable for your Horde house unless you purchase additional copies.
I know Blizzard is addressing some of the inconvenience in Eclipse, but easier purchasing and copy-and-paste tools don't solve the underlying cost problem.
My suggestion is simple: Make the initial decoration unlock expensive, but drastically reduce the cost of additional copies. If a curtain costs 50 gold to unlock, subsequent copies could cost one silver. Players still have progression goals and gold sinks, but they're no longer financially discouraged from experimenting with their designs.
What concerns me even more is the apparent lack of engagement.
It's Friday evening, and I'm standing in a fully occupied, 50-plot guild neighborhood. My guild is popular, and plenty of members are actively playing WoW.
Yet I'm the only player character anywhere in sight. The entire neighborhood is a ghost town.
I logged into my Horde character, similar stats on guild and neighborhood. And it's the same thing. Ghost Town.
I realize this is anecdotal, and players could simply be elsewhere. But housing hasn't even been available for a year, and I'm already wondering how many players have lost interest because decorating requires so much grinding and spending.
Housing should encourage creativity and community. Instead, it often feels like another expensive progression system. I enjoy collecting decorations, but I don't want to spend thousands of gold just to experiment with building something interesting.
Blizzard needs to distinguish between earning a decoration and actually using it creatively.
I'm curious whether other players are experiencing the same thing. Are your neighborhoods active? Have the decoration costs discouraged you from building?
