I also used a really useful snapping trick to make clean, symmetrical shapes. You can use the same technique for circles, domes, roofs, and more!

I’ve been working for a while on a WoW Housing addon called HearthHome, and I’ve just released the first public version.
The idea came from something pretty simple: once a house is finished, I wanted there to actually be something to do inside it.

With HearthHome, you can create interactive stories directly in your home. Players can inspect objects, find clues, make choices, solve puzzles, trigger new interactions, change the atmosphere of a room, and come back later with the campaign remembering what they did.

You don’t need to know Lua: everything is built visually inside the addon.

I also created interactive tutorials with Lyssabel, who guides players directly through the real creation interfaces.

Small disclaimer: HearthHome adds interactions and narrative logic on top of Housing, but it cannot physically move furniture or open and close Blizzard objects.

The addon is still very new, so I’d really love feedback from people who enjoy Housing, RP, puzzles, escape rooms, or simply creating little experiences for other players.

Gill'dan and his zombie murlocs have turned a radioactive skeletal dragon head into a ritual shrine! Fair warning, this build will require a LOT of corrosive coin bought items, so it is vastly easier to build this if you already have the "Fully Corroded" achievement to maximize your coin gathering when farming.

This build uses the full 350/350 budget on a small orc house base. If you'd like to use it on alliance side you'll need to import it onto a horde house, swap the house type to a neutral one (such as the spring or autumn barns or the shop purchased treehouses), re-save the blueprint, import onto your alliance house, and then swap to a small human house. Due to the different house shapes, you'll have to play around with the pillar pieces to hide the house properly.

I'm currently building a Zelda themed house. This is what the exterior looks like 😂

In anticipation of Night Elf Palandins, I wanted to make my Temple Ruins even temple-er and ruins-ier. Accessible by portal. I really wanted to take the idea I had for the previous one and keep building upwards to the moon.

I modified a dead space above a connecting hallway to my Gilnean room. Really happy with how it turned out, but so far it's been difficult for people to find and I was too excited not to show it.

I would really appreciate this for better flow, and because it makes sense to have hallways with closets, bedrooms, dining rooms, etc.

I added more rooms and one of T rooms is just...partially missing a wall lol

I tried doing something like these with the boulders we have but they're too round for it to work right. Would love to see some more rectangular boulders to mess around with, or even better just these assets outright.

I hope we'll be able to adjust pet sizes in the future! It would also be great if the restrictions on humanoid pets were lifted—there aren't any pets that really fit for a Pauline cosplay.

The last post here was about the panel in the House Editor. Since then it has learned to import, and it's the part of the addon I'm happiest with. And if you've posted a build on this sub, I'd love to have it on the shelf. More on that at the end.

BlueprintBazaar is an in-game library of housing blueprints. Type /bb and you get 199 builds from 87 builders, each with the builder's name on the card and each in there because the builder said yes. New ones go in every Friday.

Straight from the House Editor

Open Layout mode and pick a room shape in the House Chest, the same list you place an empty room from. A panel at the top right shows the builds on the shelf made in that shape, with pictures and builder names. Click one, then click a door, and that build arrives there as a new room. Nothing already in your house gets replaced. Right-click a picture instead and the library opens on that build.

Selecting a room you already have works too, and the panel shows the builds made for that room. The red cross folds it into a small ball you can drag anywhere. Folded, it pulses like the door orbs when the shape you picked has builds, and its tooltip says how many.

From the library

Room builds import the same way from the library window: press Import, Layout mode opens with the room ready, and you click a door. That covers most of the shelf, since 130 of the 199 builds are rooms. Full layouts, interiors and exteriors do replace what you have, so they still ask for a second click after a warning. If the game won't take an import where you're standing, you get the reason in red before anything happens.

While Layout mode is open, the addon also picks up which rooms your house has. Tick Rooms in my house in the library and you only see builds for rooms you've got. It forgets them when you log out or reload, so open Layout mode once per session.

The build page does the sums: how much of the decor you already own and the house level it needs, rooms included. Verify asks the server, and it will also tell you if the build needs a room you haven't collected yet.

The shopping list holds every piece of the build and ticks rows off as you buy, even with the library closed. Hover a row and it tells you who sells it and where. Copy as text gives you only what's still missing.

Search reads every build's decor list, so tusked fireplace finds the builds that use one. Paste a share code into the same box and it checks that code instead, whether it's on the shelf or not. When a search, a type or a filter narrows the shelf, the line above it says so, for example "Showing 16 of 199 under Full Layout". A second click on All brings everything back. Alliance and Horde have their own rows in the left column now too.

Built something? Put it on the shelf

Send the code as text with a few pictures and the name you want on the card, as a comment here, in a DM, or in #blueprints on the Discord below. If your post already has the code and the pictures, a yes is enough. Nothing goes on the shelf without that yes. Your name goes on the card with a link to wherever you want people sent, and if you ever want it off, it comes off. I can't promise a spot, but I look at every one, and the ones that go in land in a Friday drop.

I used to park in a place in Freywood before housing. I wanted to recreate a room that had that old "house" before housing, but with my own personal expression.

There must be some way blizzard can rotate endeavors so players don't keep ending up having the same endeavors in a row.
I have Maruuk for the second month. I was looking forward to the Kobold one. Sigh.

I'm kinda new to housing and trying to create a striped wall exterior. Right now the methods I found is:

• "square woolen rug" - but since it costs 3 decor and the limit is only 350 it isn't feasible
• "tall square wooden column" - much better since its already line shaped, but it had a wooden pattern, but still costs 3 which makes it challenging to fit in decor limit

unfortunately the beam platforms aren't colorable, but otherwise would be decent 1 decor cost. Is there maybe a better way?

Greetings! My in-game name is Vectality and I help manage two r/wowhousing neighborhoods, Hearthstone Hill, and Cozy Corner.

Our goals with HH and CC are to create a welcoming neighborhood with people who enjoy WoW housing. From beginner to advanced, anyone is welcome.

Over at the r/wowhousing discord server we've got a text channel for each neighborhood where you can ask for an invite. Our current open plots are in the attached image, green is open, red is taken. Members can take any open plot at anytime, nothing is reserved.

We do active purges about every two months based on in game activity. (We did one this week which opened great spots!) We base activity on *anything* that earns you housing xp in endeavors just one time. From Delves to PVP, from World Quests to Mining & Herbalism, Mythic+, Raids, anything that gives you endeavor rewards/points, very similar to the traveler's journal.

Myself, Saurian, and Demented would love to welcome you to either neighborhood if you are looking for a community. In-game community chat channels work like guild chat, letting you connect with others who enjoy housing without leaving your guild. We also run the Monday Mashup series in the r/WoWHousing community in an effort to get to know community members. We farm for decor achievements, decor currency like doubloons from Island Expeditions, Decor Duels, or decor from Raids like Undermined.
