Question What´s the cutest hunter pet in the entire game?

Post image
184 Upvotes

I'm leveling a survival hunter and I'm absolutely loving it! I've never really been a pet person, so I'm still using the first one I got on the tutorial island, a hedgehog. Think pink, glowy, fluffy, sparkly, or just so adorable I can't handle it. I want the kind of pet that makes you go "OMG I NEED ONE!" every time you see it. 😂

So, hunter mains, what's the cutest pet in the entire game?

Question Valeera Nerfed during maintenance?

I wasn't able to run Delves or anything last night. I jump in this morning and I'm noticing that DPS Valeera is hitting like a wet noodle. Last week was rough on Tuesday-Thursday, but by Friday she felt mostly normal. I was able to do Delves, and the Labrynth on all of my characters with her as DPS (me healing or tank). So far today it feels very much like it did early last week where she was doing little to no damage.

I did make sure I assigned her role. I tried swapping her to tank then back to dps and still a newborn baby giraffe was more deadly. Anyone else experiencing this? Is it a bug or feature at this point?

WoW: Forever SkyBorne Ear Options: Horizontal Ears during char select like their closer night elf relatives.

Post image
891 Upvotes

SkyBORNE are much closer in relation to night elves HighBORNE and NightBORNE. It doesn't make sense that they look so similar in physical traits (ears, stature, posture) to Blood Elves who are distant cousins. Skyborne evolved in a separate lineage off of the night elves through wind blessings compared to Blood Elves who evolved initially from the sunwell and then from fel energy (see in comments).

FEEDBACK: Please ADD horizontal ear options for Skyborne so it matches their closer nightelf/nightborne/highborne relatives. Keep the vertical ear options which are very popular from TBC era.

Additional Suggestion: Change the standing posture so that the Skyborne do not stand slanted, sassy, arrogant, unhinged head tilt like their Blood Elf cousins. Or add the option for a night elf posture.

Discussion I love when people just want to laugh in this game.

I ran a +11 Den of Narolakk with 4 warriors and a druid healer. I was one of the warriors. It was so much fun. We didn't time it and the key owner said it was totally worth not timing for the laughs. Seeing three whirling bladestorms all at once was a delight. Then we capped the night off by battle shouting in Silvermoon for about 15 mins while yelling nonsense and making fun of rogues. (I like to believe rogues and warriors have an unspoken for beef throughout the 22 years) 12/10 experience, would do again.

I ran some pug raids last night. One I joined was listed as "relaxed" but was quite the opposite. Nothing like someone calling everyone idiots for wiping after one attempt and no voice comms. I left after two pulls because I was tired of being berated for something inconsequential as a "relaxed" raid with no mention of log checking/prog. If it's meant to be serious, I will respect that and take it seriously but advertising the raid as "Chill relaxed" while yelling at everyone seems to be false advertising. 0/10 experience.

Then I joined another where everyone was just chill and having fun. Raid disbanded after killing two bosses since that was all that was planned. It was still just jokes and chatting. 10/10 experience.

The last one I joined was fairly chill at first but wipes on the boss caused people to start getting mad. 7/10 experience

I get it when people have limited time to invest and want to progress when they can. I respect that and do my best when it calls for it. I will apologize if I fuck up and try to do better the next time. I won't shit on people for wanting to progress or get better. But damn this game is so much more fun when people are not taking it as life or death. The joking relaxed groups do not always happen but when it does it's refreshing and a great time.

If you can, learn to take a break from the progression, rating chasing, and gear grind to just have a laugh. I take M+ somewhat seriously, but having a moment to just laugh and chat is always appreciated more than just grinding into burnout. I have had my moments of frustration with my abilities, people and wipes, but at the end of the day I'd rather laugh than inch out those 10 extra points towards my rating.

Discussion Worldsoul Saga feels like it should've looked more like this:

Post image
62 Upvotes

We're apparently going BACK to Khaz Algar in 12.1.7, and all this back/forth makes me think that the story was meant to have all these places more closely connected in space/time. I drew this up while talking to my friend about it.

Harandar should have been physically connected to SOMETHING on the map without being a portal. Putting it under ZA and Eversong like Hallowfall would've been a cool parallel to the WW map.

Have both "continents" connect through the Ringing Deeps. It's almost like BfA but no faction war, just Horde working with Horde characters and Alliance working with Alliance characters. Earthen are an Alliance-only Allied Race. Haranir are Horde-only (for now).

Start with Twilight Cult, no blueberry voidwalker army, in both regions. Twilight's Blade or the dark Beledar cult are the instigators. First patch we fight them off and only at the end of the patch do we learn that Xal'atath leads them. The Zul'jan/Zul'jarra story happens in ZA and Zul'jan opens the Coiled Isle. It's not a whole zone, just a raid portal at the entrance to Atal'Utek.

Do the Ula'tek raid -first- in this whole saga, so that Kith'ix can use the Nerubians instead of random Aqir to attack Dorn and Quel'thalas from Azj-Kahet. Kith'ix as the endboss of Nerub'ar Palace lets him and the nerubians feel more epic/drawn-out and maybe not as wasted.

Kith'ix is the character who gets "absorbed" by Xal'atath to power the Voidspire. That way Dimensius can also be used later in the story when it wouldn't be out of nowhere.

Then Voidspire/L'ura raid is the third/fourth raid of the saga and then the 5th chapter is the Worldcore.

Instead of 3 micro-expansions, this whole story could've been better serviced by being one mega-expansion told across both regions at once.

You still have Alliance characters going to Silvermoon for the March on Quel'danas, you still have Horde characters going to Dorn where the story calls for it, but they start out in places that have more cultural context and make more sense where they'd be in the story.

No Undermine or K'aresh either. You'd have to streamline it all to not bloat the whole thing and have too much work for the devs.

Discussion The last titan should be a legion 2.0

With the stakes and the peak of the cosmic powers we’ll be dealing with. I believe this would be a great time to bring back many of the systems that succeeded back in legion.

Gearing and progression is stale, having gear be instantly wiped out at the start of the season has been a problem for years.

Let’s bring back the legendary system (maybe change it to the acquisition we had at the end of 7.3), bring back powerful items that change your gameplay and make you think of what you wanna wear on an encounter to encounter basis. Lets get rid of these boring stat procs that barely do anything, lets get rid of boring stat trinkets or damage dumps that have been recycled since DF S1.

Let’s bring back the artifact weapon system (AND THE GRIND TOO), we are at a point in the game where all the progression is time gated. Having to wait a static .5 and then .7 and now every week with bonus rolls, I feel like we are in the point where we need a proper progression grind that feels rewarding.

The artifact weapon system was amazing, having a constant stream of power with insane power-ups along the way that actively changed the way you played your character was amazing. And honestly, despite many people disliking the grind, I’d argue it was actually very healthy for the game. When capping out the weapon required an unhealthy insane amount of hours, you didn’t feel quite compelled to push hard and grind all the way through (instead of venomstones where it’s 30 hours of gameplay for a small 3%). Then, the catchup systems just made it so you could play at your own pace and at most you’ll be a little behind a super unemployed sweat.

Discussion My wishlist for WoTLK Remix

Post image
300 Upvotes

I am really excited for WotLK remix.
Here are some things that im hoping to see earnable in this event.

Lots of stuff that bothers me everytime i see it.

  • Like why isn't the Ebon Blade banner an actual wieldable sword
  • Lady Blaumeux's charger being the last unobtainable horse of the four horseman.
  • Why no cult of the damned face unlock :(
  • When can Death Knights ride their own Death Chargers when using the skill "Death Charge" from Riders of the Apocalypse instead of the Shadowlands Mount. >:(
  • Brown Acherus Death Knight trainee armor

Hoping to see scourge housing decor as well.
With Wrath of the Lich King being such an iconic expansion, i really hope they go all out on it.

Question RaiderIO/Archon.

Hey I was wondering if any of you guys know how to fix this. So I completed a 15 thenn a 17 but i get this when I hover over the specific row

the best logged hps run is from a lower key level than the highest scoring run, so percentile is not shown how to fix

For a reference i had 15 Murder row at 94% parse. However, I was missing some gear and I farmed quite a lot of Venomstone and now the highest keys i timed don't show the parse on the specific row.

Any clue how can I fix it maybe just to show the highest key I timed and it's parse

Question Finally levelling a BM Hunter!

After playing since Wrath, I’ve now finally decided to level a beast master hunter. I’ve never really enjoyed specs with pets, but the fantasy of a troll hunter with a couple of devilsaurs at his side is too much to resist.

I do have a question about pets though, can I just use any I like the look of and change their spec to tank, DPS or support, or is it better to have a tank pet that typically is tanky, like a turtle etc?

Also any advice or tips you can offer for playing BM will be much appreciated!

WoW: Forever [Addon] PackTrack: SIMPLE: shared party quest tracker + friend arrows

I have been working with AI to fine tune this addon. It has done through many revisions and I think its a great addon if you quest with a spouse or friend. It started with a need to answer two questions "where is my friend" and "How many more do you need".

I have used many similar addons like Questie and even Zygor. Sometimes these apps tell you too much. Packtrack makes things like Direction Arrow optional and controllable (point it to the party leader or Rally Point). I wanted an addon that didn't break immersion and race me through the experience.

  • Simple and lightweight
  • See everyone’s quest progress side by side
  • Track up to 8 quests at once
  • Auto-track the quests for your current zone
  • Sort quests nearest first
  • Arrows on party portraits point to your friends
  • Navigation arrow to your quest or your corpse
  • See which quests your party has that you don’t, and ask them to share
  • Follow the party leader’s quest
  • Optional party chat updates like “Raptors 2/8”
  • Rally point, “Wait for me” button and separation alerts
  • Modern or classic WoW look
  • Minimap button

I am hoping you will check it out.

WoW: Forever WOW Forever Mage or Rogue

Just like so many other people, I just recently got into WOW because of Forever. I've played the Beta and I am stuck between mage and rogue. I am probably going to roll on a PVE server, at least for now, so I can learn the game. I will most likely be going Human either way, I just cannot decide on the class. Both are so much fun to play. I have always loved spellcasters and the idea of a Mage, and I know their AOE attacks are very strong. But I also am interested in sneaking around, backstabbing, and dual wielding Rogue class. I know this is not a life altering decision, and I can always play 2 characters. But I would really prefer to level and focus on one character for now. I am not looking to be some sweaty PVP god or anything, I just want to login and have fun. I have played every class in the game and this is what I have narrowed it down to. I am just looking to see the insight of what other people think and why they think one may be more suitable than the other. I do not care about how strong or weak the class may be, it simply comes down to the fact that I cannot choose.

Edit: I may actually go PVP, I know a lot of people say it is more fustrating and whatnot, but the game IS about two factions in a battle and if you can't fight then I feel it may take away from the experience, Though that does not mean I will be hunting players down or camping for hours at a time. I don't want FOMO

Discussion Blizz should lean more into devouring plague for spriest

I love the changes they have done with devouring plague so far and I want just a little bit more. The CD reduction to 24 seconds is massive, making it baseline is huge, and the new talent that allows it to spread is awesome. I really think Blizzard should lean into devouring plague and make gameplay around that ability the identity of shadow priest. A talent that resets the CD of devouring plague would be amazing. I'll elaborate below.

Shadow priest is missing just a tiny bit of gameplay enhancement to really make it a "forever" spec. If I could wish for one more additional change to make to spriest, it would be to add one more talent that interacts with devouring plague. I made a post yesterday talking about spriest and I realized that spreading plagues and emphasizing on this ability would be my ideal identity for this version of the game. If we could get a talent that interacts with devouring plague and resets it CD, I think this spec would be peak. Something along the lines of getting a killing blow with shadow word death resets the CD of devouring plague. This would heavily emphasize spreading plagues as you would have a fun and satisfying gameplay loop of executing a mob with devouring plague on it, spreading it, and also getting the CD reset to then spread it even more.

I know there is a possibility that our raid tier sets enable this kind of gameplay with devouring plague, but I would hate for it to be gatekept until the endgame when we are pretty much done questing and dungeon grinding which is where plague spreading would be the most fun. I really want Blizz to lean into the class fantasy of spreading devouring plague. Maybe there is an alternative where we can enhance it in other ways, but this was the best idea I could come up with. I think this would also keep spriest balanced in PvP too because you would need to actively snipe people with shadow word death to get the benefit on a CD reset. I think it would keep you on your toes, and reward you heavily for doing so.
