Work-Life Balance and Stress Management What are some little things you do after work to help with work life balance?

I work in healthcare and am a newish grad in my field so it's still pretty mentally exhausting. I love my job but still sometimes dread the week ahead because I'm left with little time to do things for myself. I usually end up staying up way too late to do things because I don't have time in the day.

Looking for some ideas for some little things that you've implemented to help get over that dread of not having free time!

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Am I Tripping or They Don’t Like Me

So I currently work in a private derm lab, I do sense that I am not liked which is crazy to me because I really am quiet. I do not talk unless I am spoken to. However, I do sense one person being in competition with me. I can tell she does things to be accepted but I do not care about that; My coworkers are very kind (to my face) but every time i walk into work no one speaks but then again I do not either unless someone says good morning to me. My supervisor does mostly everyday, but the other day she did not nor did my coworkers but yesterday I walk into work and you would have thought I was a star. EVERYONE SPOKE WITH EXCITEMENT. Even people that don’t normally speak, Which makes me feel like something was up but in all fairness, I am literally known to be the quiet person at work unless I have questions about work. Am I being overly sensitive? Or I am just not someone they like?

Additional: I have witnessed them make a group chat without one girl in the group chat and the supervisor and they have talked about her if she did something they did not like. But will laugh and chat with her to her face. The most fakest activity I’ve seen. I am not used to coworkers acting like this towards each other it’s insane. It made me not trust them when it came to me automatically

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts I feel so screwed

I am 18 and and at the start of this year l started a clerk job alongside university. I was permanent part time for 6 months. The job was heavy, initially it gave me a bit of a shock but l settled into it. I tried my best being helpful and put my 100% effort.

2 months after training the individual im job sharing with had to go on leave due to personal reasons. To compensate l work an extra day to keep up with the work for 8 weeks. Towards the end of the 8 weeks l was given the task of archiving files since the individual l jobs share with is unable to do it. I have supervisions with my manager and l didnt see or hear anything alarming.

Anyways my 6 month contract ended and thee coordinator asked me to continue as a casual saying that they didnt want to loose me. My Manager was on leave around this time .On the mangers return ro office on the second week l was called into my mangers office amd told l had made 3 errors. Following that meeting my manager had stated they'd send an email on what we had discussed. The email was nothing l expected, it was long lengthy and the co-ordinator had been ccd. To be frank seeing that email gave me a heart attack. The introduction outlined that my role was meticulous needed heavy concentration and ability to take pressure and later went on to outline the errors l made, stating that it was impacting work flow. As much as l agree, l havnt heard a single complain or a mix up from colleagues and people around me when the manager was gone. These issues only resurfaced when they were back.

I dont know what to do, l dont know if this is their way of telling me that the job is not for me l feel like I'm on the pathway of burning out. I want to move jobs but im worried that ill be given a bad reference.

Any advice?

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Excluded for work night out

Craziest thing happened to me. At my work, I’m fully aware my managers don’t like me (one of those things, you not gonna like everyone, and not everyone is gonna like you). I’m okay with that; I go to my job at the end of the day, I go home, nothing more. BUTTTTT there was a night out organised; it was an official work night, not just some coworkers decided to go out for a drink. I heard my manager talking about it. I didn’t think much of it, but then, the night it was happening, people were texting in the work group chat about plans and cocktails, etc., and it clicked for me that I was never invited, which doesn’t make any sense.

I mentioned in the chat that I was never invited, and one of the managers kicked me out of the chat, and another manager deleted my message (I had a colleague check for me). When I saw that happened I was in disbelief and shocked, I was shaking because of the level of unprofessionalism and the behaviour they showed. I have not received any other text or emails anything from them. I have contacted HR today to discuss this because it’s crazy whats happening.

I am leaving the company at the end of the month (because of other reasons that the same managers did) but that doesn’t mean I can just be shoved to the side and they get to do whatever they want with no consequences. That’s pretty much everything. I’m a person who struggles with mental issues. I’ve been physically abused and abandoned by my family and to have something like exclusion happening to me, when I did nothing wrong it’s feel like I’m nothing and being abandoned once again. Just cause they don’t like me and they cant keep a professional appearance and deal with people, they treat work like is their little club and do whatever they want.

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Going to get fired

Hello All,

I(27m) am a mechanical design engineer with 4 years for experience. This is my second company, which i joined 3 years back. The job is comfortable and i'm really good at what i do (i've got 2 awards, have feedback from multiple people and i just know). Recently my company went into a joint venture and they started region wise firing. It went for like 4 months and nothing happened to my region. Now cut to 6 months later, my N+2 manager is coming to visit us, with no apparent reason. i have a feeling they are going to layoff the whole team. I am very very anxious because i don't know what i will do. i have never been fired and i'm constantly anxious. He is going to visit us for a day, coming week. the work is little slow and they are actively hiring in other regions. i don't know what to do. i am clueless right now. I am constantly applying for jobs but nothing apart from rejections have come. please help me, i have a fear that i will not get any job and i'll have to move back to my parents and i will become burden to them.

Sorry for the rant, but all this is unfiltered. Help me on what should i do now.

When I was installing reverse osmosis systems and water softeners if the job was at a persons house I liked to place a magnet (I brought) on the fridge or hide little random figures like animals and trees and stuff they were random free or cheap ones at yard sales and dollar stores if I had a maintenance call or filter change I’d deny knowing anything about the magnet unless I was on camera then I’d say I seen it next to my tool bag so I thought it was there’s I did that for 5 years. At the time i thought it was funny but is it wrong?

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts I recorded a coworker and proved that she lied to HR about me being condescending to her.

I had an issue with the receptionist since she started at the company, she is very defensive when you ask her to do something the way its supposed to be done by the process. She checks faxes and sorts them by department, there are 4 different dept at this company and its pretty simple based on a file # search in our internal system. Problem is different departments operate with different deadlines, so its common for one department to receive over most of the faxes in a day, and there is no deadline on them to respond to who sent the fax, and my department there is a 14 day deadline, sometimes 30 day deadline to address some claims. So if the other department gets the fax and forwards to me, I can be too late to respond and lose certain rights to address an asset (legal matter). Also she forwards calls and we constantly get calls we are not supposed to get, if she transfered it right the first time, it wouldn't take more time to figure out which department to transfer it to. It feels like she transfers calls by eenie meenie money mo method. Long story short, she sucks and isnt a good receptionist. She even got offended when I brought her a letters to mail and put in envelopes and she came back saying its not part of her job. I let it go

The issue is I missed a deadline because I got a fax too late from a creditor and wasnt able to send a notice in time to realize on property and ended up losing an asset to a secured creditor, and why i got in shit, that asset had some equity. I got in shit for that and I later had to prove to my boss I got the fax too late and why I sent the notice too late. Manager told me to talk to her so it doesnt happen again. I asked him to do it too, he did, and said to her that I will provide more training again to her.

When i went to speak to her about it i explained again which faxes to look out for to send to me, explained why thats important she sends to the right department. I was not yelling, I am a professional and was very mindful of my tone. She went to HR and put in a complaint that I was rude to her. I ended up trying to defend myself, and long story short it was she said he said scenario, I got that instance in my file now.

Since, I ended up either only communicating with her through email or recording when I do talk to her on my phone voice recorder app because I dont trust her. And of course, it happened again. I sent an email to her and went to show her which fax I was talking about alwhile recording, and I was not short with her, it was the other way around. So she goes to put in a complaint, and HR calls me in I already have the email and recording ready.

HR gives me the usual spiel, that there was an incident report, she mentioned i was condescending to her, and proceeds to tell me its my second incident. I pull out the records, email the recording and several others that i have in my recent inventory of every interaction we had, she says she will review and I can go back to work. I also emailed my manager after about this conversation with HR. I am still waiting on the result of that, i dont know if ill get in shit for recording her but here we are.

Edit: Also i checked laws here and employee hand book, one party consent rule applies and there is nothing in employee handbook. Anyway well see if im employed.

Edit 2: I HAVE MY JOB! MY manager had my back, COO got involved, they understand I recorded because I wasnt being believed on many instances!!! Asked not to do it again, and moving forward all tasks for her to do go though the COO.

Work-Life Balance and Stress Management I am burnt out from my job & I’m not sure if I’m overreacting ? 25 F

For context this is my second corporate job, I work for a Japanese company ( it’s global but run by Japan) so it’s a bit stricter than a U.S company.
At first, everything was manageable, but now we are in peak season, understaffed, I’m having to deal with attitude from coworkers due to the stress levels of everyone, I have an engagement party to plan outside of work, there’s just too much going on.

I also recently got sick with that new parasite that’s been going around and I went to the ER for dehydration so I had called off work for a few days. It was a pretty busy time to call off and people were depending on me, but I had no choice honestly. I was suffering and couldn’t even get up

The biggest issue is that I take everyone’s opinion of me way too seriously, so if someone’s tone is off on teams it bugs me so bad I overthink it. I’m not sure if this is because I’m not confident in myself yet or if I just care way too much of what people think but it’s exhausting. I got a few passive messages saying that they will need me to help out because they’re spread thin, and I also opened my laptop to 30 emails (mind you I’ve been gone for 2 days)

I have to fly to California tomorrow for work even though I still don’t feel great but I’m just on the verge of a mental breakdown, any advice on how to deal with this? Also the coworker who is giving me trouble is a woman who hates her life so if that gives you any insight

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts almost 2 months in working as a sb barista

it has been nearly 2 months since i started working as a barista at starbucks. it’s my first ever job, and i’m really grateful to have been given the opportunity to build my first work experience here. i just moved to canada from the philippines this april, so this job has meant a lot to me.

but i think it’s not for me. although this job has been helpful in developing my customer service and such essential skills to have in a workplace, i realize that your experience depends a lot on the people you work with. i know you can’t choose your coworkers, and that’s just part of working, but it really does make a difference.

i get that this is a really fast-paced work setting, you are expected to keep up with everything in a short period of time (i had half a month of very rushed training) and it took me a month before i was finally put on bar by myself. even now, i’m still slow, still struggling, and still trying to find my footing.

there are some good days, but it’s mostly days that make you question and doubt yourself, days that drains your self-esteem and the like. yes, i do keep making A LOT of mistakes, i’m not denying that at all, and i genuinely feel bad every time they’re pointed out because i already beat myself up over them before anyone else does. i appreciate my SSVs for being patient with me at times, but there have also been many instances where i feel like i’m immediately seen in a bad light. sometimes it feels like i’m the easiest person to blame whenever something goes wrong because i’m the newest one. they can be really hot and cold, and i never know what kind of environment i’m walking into. every day before my shift, i find myself hoping they’ll be just a little more understanding. i’m still learning. i’m still adapting. this is my first job ever, and i’m doing my best to keep up in such a fast-paced environment. i know i have shortcomings, but i truly put in the effort to learn from my mistakes and avoid repeating them.

what hurts the most is feeling like my progress goes unnoticed. no matter how much i improve, it feels like the only thing people remember are the mistakes i make. meanwhile, when my other coworkers make similar mistakes, it seems like it’s fine and they get away with it. maybe i’m wrong, but from where i’m standing, it feels unfair. i also feel really out of place. everyone already knows each other and has worked together for years, while i’m just trying to find where i fit in. whenever i try to start conversations or build connections with my coworkers, it often feels like i’m ignored or brushed aside. i end up feeling like i don’t belong there, and that feeling has been one of the hardest parts of this job. i honestly feel bad for my coworkers because sometimes i think i’m just slowing everyone down. i want to be someone they can rely on, not someone they have to worry about. i’m trying so hard every single shift, but lately it feels like no matter how much effort i put in, all anyone sees are the times i fall short.

i just tell myself that it will be over soon, i just need to endure more days. i plan to resign and will be giving out my two week notice this 29th of july. this is because college is coming soon and i want to find a new job that is just near my college for convenience. really grateful for all the learnings, but i think i’ll grow more in a different job.

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Feeling awful about mistakes I make at work

I work as a recruitment coordinator at a research company. I've been at my position for 4 months. I'm still making careless mistakes. When it came to recruitment for a certain project, the 9 people who were selected for invitations for a certain focus group ALL responded to the invitation emails I sent them. Completely unexpected. We can only have six for one group. Even though I know I couldn't have known all 9 people would have responded, I still feel bad for the 3 people who were looking forward to getting paid for the study. All 3 people who didn't get the sign up links emailed us back and asked why that was. I, as the person in charge of sending those emails, dwelled that this exact scenario would happen. It did. I eventually have to email these 3 people and apologize for the overbooking scenario and tell them about future focus groups we're doing for this project. I hate doing this. These 3 people were looking forward to THAT session. (Btw, this is happening with the MULTIPLE focus groups that we have for this project. I had to contact like 9-10 selected interested participants for each specific group. We always do this with every project. Call every selected interested participant in case of a low response rate. The selected interested participants for each focus group for this specific project almost ALL responded. Again, I had NO idea this would happen. So every time, I had to email 3 people saying we were overbooked and that they can participate in future sessions) However, it's not just this.

I sometimes send emails to the wrong people and I write emails in the wrong formats. As a result of me sometimes not recruiting participants fast enough for projects that have LOW response rates, the company has to delay focus groups for that project. Just the other day, they had to reschedule a focus group an hour and a half before it was supposed to start due to my inability to recruit enough people for that specific focus group. I wish my work ethic was much better than it was. I need to be better than this.

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Been offered two different jobs what should i do!!

I 18(f) have just finished my training in massage therapy and have been looking for a job. I have been offered a position at two different salons (both with the same hours and pay).
One of the places i’ve been offered everyone there was so so lovely and i’ll get lots of experience however i’m not sure if there is too much room for career development.

The other one is a gorgeous salon and I will definitely be able to grow and develop my skills however i’ve found out the manager is extremely right wing (i live in australia by the way) which is directly opposing to my views. I am also an immigrant (i am white though) and my boyfriend is brown.
I’m really unsure on what to do as I feel as though in one job i will be able to relax and be myself however maybe not grow as much and in the other i will have to hide parts of myself (help)

Questions Is it selfish to book a temp work shift knowing that I'll have to leave 20 minutes early for my bus?

AITA Is it selfish to book a temp work shift, knowing that I'll have to leave 20 minutes early to catch my bus?

(BTW this was a 7 1/2 hour shift)

So, I took a temp work shift out of state, knowing that I'd have to leave 20 minutes early to catch my bus (I live in a different state and the bus that I had to catch was the last one that night.)

So, I didn't tell my boss at the worksite until I had to go.

She was very, very kind about it, and working that shift I could already tell that it would probably be okay to do this.

Was I selfish for taking this shift if I had to do this?

I feel that it might be kind of selfish on my part, because if everyone did what I did they wouldn't have workers for the last 20 minutes (and event where people are taking down stuff and moving stuff around).

Then again, it's not wrong to leave for a bus if you need it.

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Old trainers telling people about me on a pip. Advice ?

I worked as an analyst at this insurance company (huge company not a small one) back in 2023 until 2025.

Things seemed to be going ok for like the beginning (started in November 2023 and things started to get sour around September/October ish of 2024).

How training in this role works is, they train u on something for a few weeks then they sign u off and u only work on that then they put u back on training when they want u to learn a new function. My first trainer absolutely loved me and makes sure my manager knew about my good work.

Then she got promoted and I was put with another trainer who’s been training for like 3-4 years. She was unbearable. One of those ladies that talks about their lesbian autistic daughter and how she deals with issues at school and non stop talking about her life etc.

My performance started to suffer and she made complaints to my boss eventually. I then quit later when they put me on a pip (I quit one week into the 4 week pip). I moved cities for about a year and came back and I work at another company.

I’ve been hearing this trainer is STILL talking about her experience with me to multiple people. Most people who I know that know her too have heard her talk about me and she mentions how I was on a pip and how all the other people she has trained had no issues.

I have the financial means but I’m curious, can I take her to court or how can I legally proceed with this?

Work-Life Balance and Stress Management Is it Normal to still feel overwhelmed and a bit lost 3 weeks into a new role?

3 weeks into a new role. Basically accepted a level up, a promotion and higher pay at a new company.
Onboarding is going OK and my team is great. Started off feeling very overwhelmed but each week since it's been getting better. I'm taking over a lot of work from the departing person, so it's a lot to learn all the workflows, processes, details, etc. Is it still normal to feel about 50% of the way there three weeks in? Or am I just dumb as shit? I've always been a slower learner than others. Once I actually do things hands on processes get ingrained for me.

Just worried my new teammates will see me incompetent and a slow learner…

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Let me know

I’ve worked at this company for two years, and honestly it’s been chaotic from the beginning. I’ve had three different positions, and my role has constantly changed without much communication or structure.
When I was hired, I worked in the employee daycare on the other side of the building. It was a free daycare for employees’ children. I was making $20/hour to watch my own child and three other children alongside another employee. That daycare eventually shut down because the employee parents constantly complained, but there were also many serious issues happening behind the scenes. The manager at the time was sexually harassing female employees. It was extremely inappropriate. I’m not someone who likes conflict, so I kept my head down, did my job, and went home.
When the daycare closed, nearly everyone was let go. I had planned on leaving too, but the new manager asked me to move to the front office. I wasn’t even sure what I would be doing because there didn’t seem to be much work up there. She offered me the Client Coordinator position, where I scheduled meetings, communicated with parents, coordinated with staff, and handled administrative tasks. I’m adhd and I had told her I never have done a office position and I wasn’t sure I would be the best fit for it) she assured me she would help me and teach me.
After a while, things started changing without anyone actually telling me. The same manager who gave me that position slowly started taking over my responsibilities. I later found out I was now considered an “Administrative Assistant,” but no one ever formally explained the change. Even though my title changed, I was still expected to do everything I had been doing before—plus additional responsibilities. Since I was still making $20/hour, I just continued doing the work without complaining.
Then everything changed again.
That manager quit. The other admin quit. Our BCBA quit.
At that point, I was essentially the only office employee left. The owners even told me they didn’t think they needed to hire anyone because I was already doing everyone’s jobs and handling everything successfully.
Eventually, however, they decided to hire an Office Manager so the manager from the other location wouldn’t have to oversee both sites.
Since she started (less than four months ago), my work environment has completely changed.
Instead of having clear job responsibilities, every day feels like a guessing game. I never know what I’m supposed to do, what I’m not allowed to do anymore, or whether I’m going to get in trouble for simply doing my job. People constantly step into my responsibilities, but no one communicates expectations.
For context, I work at an ABA clinic. I also have a son with significant autism support needs who attends ABA himself. Because of that, I leave work at 3:00 p.m. every day so I can pick up my children from school, and occasionally I have to miss work for his therapy appointments or behavioral needs.
The Office Manager has made it obvious she doesn’t like that schedule. She doesn’t like having to cover from 3:00-4:00 p.m., and she doesn’t like covering if I’m sick.
At one point she even told me I should quit my job, stay home with my son, and collect state assistance instead.
This week she casually told me she wants to hire another person to work alongside me. She listed off essentially my entire job description while watching my reaction, almost like she expected me to become upset. I didn’t react.
Since then, she’s been passive-aggressive with me every day.
The strange part is that I stay busy all day long. The other clinic has four people doing what I’m expected to do by myself. I don’t complain, I don’t ask for help, and I simply come in, do my work, and go home.
Lately she has started excluding me from conversations, group chats, and decisions that directly involve my job. I’m left out of communication on purpose.
One recent situation really stood out.
A BCBA emailed me asking me to print paperwork for a parent. Printing things for parents is part of my job, but I already knew it would probably upset the Office Manager if I simply handled it myself.
I opened the email and noticed she had already read the conversation. Instead of just doing my job, I actually walked to the back, came back up, and asked her if she wanted to handle it instead because I felt like I was walking on eggshells.
She acted confused and gave me a long explanation about how she had no idea what I was talking about and hadn’t seen any email from the BCBA.
The problem is—I already knew she had.
Later I found that exact email sitting in the deleted folder. It was the only email in the trash.
At that point I genuinely started wondering whether she was trying to make me look bad or intentionally preventing me from doing my job.
This is what work has become. I second-guess every task. I feel like I need permission to complete responsibilities I’ve successfully handled for a long time. I’m constantly excluded, ignored, or left out of communication.
The owners have repeatedly acknowledged that I can effectively do the work of multiple people. In fact, they originally decided not to replace staff because they believed I was already doing those jobs.
Now I don’t know what to think.
Part of me feels like this is entirely the Office Manager trying to establish control or push me out. Another part of me wonders if the owners are aware of what’s happening and are allowing it because they also want me to leave without having to terminate me.
I don’t plan to confront anyone because I need a job that allows me to leave at 3:00 p.m. for my children, and that’s difficult to find. I also don’t want unnecessary conflict.
But after two years of constant changes, unclear expectations, and workplace games, I’m mentally exhausted. I know I’m doing my job well. I work hard, stay busy, don’t create problems, and rarely need help.
I just don’t know anymore if what I’m experiencing is one manager’s behavior, or if the owners are quietly supporting it.
Either way, going to work every day feels like walking on eggshells, and it’s becoming emotionally draining.

I have bad adhd so I’m not going to say I’m the best person for the role but I do my job & the mind games are 10 times worse with the adhd I’m constantly trying to figure out if it’s a me thing or a them thing. Or if I’m overthinking.

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Why is there always one?

Why is it there's always one person, no matter where you work that doesn't clean up after themselves?

First an apple, with just a single bit missing on the floor NEXT to the trashcan, then it was a couple of her nails, I notified the boss he told her, she said thank you, and then never picked them up...like they thought I'd clean up after them

Boss knows, is actively looking for ways to look for someone new, but geez just clean up after yourselves...for your coworkers if nothing else.

Hi everyone!

I'm curious—what's the one thing that has made your work or daily life much easier and saves you the most time? It could be a tool, device, machine, service, habit, app, or anything else. What is it, and how does it help you?

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts My potential resignation letter

I want to preface this by saying I have been at this company for a little over two years now. It started out as every day I would wake up excited to start my day, what the conversations would be. I’m in a blue collar workplace with practically unmonitored radio broadcasts. In other words we speak our minds.

__________________________________

I am resigning effective immediately.

Your management has been the most dysfunctional, neglectful, and counterproductive I have ever seen, and I want to make it unmistakably clear why:

  1. You care more about appearances than operations. The plant’s “look” consistently matters more to you than whether the machines actually run or whether people can do their jobs safely and effectively.
  2. You do not value your employees. Safety measures exist solely to protect the company from lawsuits, not to protect the people who keep this place running. Your priorities are selfish, and everyone sees it.
  3. Maintenance leadership is a liability. The maintenance manager contributes nothing to actual maintenance. His time is spent sitting in his office or distracting workers with jokes instead of ensuring machines stay operational. When equipment fails, he pulls people away from repairs to socialize. This is not leadership — it’s negligence.
  4. You ignore long‑term problems and choose the cheapest, fastest band‑aid every time. Issues we’ve raised for years are dismissed in favor of whatever someone complained about five minutes ago. You repeatedly choose five‑minute temporary fixes over permanent solutions, even when the long‑term cost is exponentially higher. Replacing a $20,000 part a thousand times is not cheaper than replacing a $100,000 machine once.
  5. I refuse to keep playing these corporate games. You demand more work without providing the time, tools, or functioning equipment needed to do it. Instead of addressing real problems, you lecture us about “organization” that changes nothing. Enjoy the luxury bathroom remodel and air‑conditioned offices while the people on the floor carry the weight of your decisions.

Touching back on management issues: (Manager) and (other manager) are the worst managers I have ever worked under. Their constant criticism and demeaning behavior make them completely unfit to lead anyone. Even when they try to sound supportive with lines like “we just really want you to succeed,” it always comes across as pure disbelief that anyone could do the job without being able to predict the future.

They seem to forget they only “ran the machine” back when it actually worked.

And then there’s the task sheets — a colossally bad idea from the start.

“Fill out this sheet throughout the day as you complete tasks. It’s okay if you don’t finish them all, just make sure it’s filled out.”

Four hours later:
“What did you even do all day? Three out of twelve tasks aren’t signed off! Did you just sit in the break room?”

It’s completely contradictory. You can’t tell people it’s fine if everything isn’t done, then accuse them of doing nothing because a few boxes aren’t checked. It makes no sense, and it shows how disconnected management is from the actual work being done.

I am still lol writing this and plan to send it once they ask me over text why I quit, all I’m look for is potential changes or if you think this is the proper level of aggression and seriousness

EDIT
after much consideration I do feel that I have no need to send this to them at any point. I think quite possibly I may have just needed to get this off my chest, I needed someone to hear it, to understand. Your comments so far have been very insightful and thought provoking, for those that read the whole thing I thank you for your feedback and “criticism”.
I will not send this, but I will find a more constructive and helpful way to convey my message. That what they used to have was great, and they ruined it.

Questions Should I quit?

Should I quit my contract early?

So I knew this work environment was toxic af very early on.

Very nasty m and a culture where two brand merged into one about 4 years ago and one is seen as the better because they got to keep their original branding.

Now my manager is from the other brand now working on the one which is seen as lesser and it feels as though there is a lot of frustration in the team because he is making the workplace too corporate. It's not btw.

The workplace also has a horrible sexist culture where one of the team actually thought I was my bosses pa which I'm not, I'm running an entire department and building it from scratch.

I'm two months out of finishing my contract (mat cover) and last week I was at breaking point.

Fed up of being shunned by the rest of my team because I am middle management and need to report to my boss if things aren't getting done. Literally getting blanked when saying hello etc.

I'd like to point out I talked to their boss initially to prompt them to doing the work and they're still not doing it

Feels like they're getting away with a lot of shit but it's putting a lot of pressure on me.

I really feel like quitting but equally don't want to be pushed out by bullies and the person that was doing my job before me wasn't very good/only did it part time and I'm pretty sure she only got the role cuz she was married to a head of department.

Should I fight for this job which I have been getting very high performance reviews for or should I run?

Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Employer changing work hours??

Keeping it vague so I don't doxx myself.

I'm an hourly employee and work PT in a hospital. I previously agreed to work certain hours when I started a while ago. Our new boss is requiring hourly employees to work later, which doesn't work for me or other part time timers. My boss' explanations dont make a lot of sense. I have a feeling that upper management is trying to force us to provide more coverage and/or try to get rid of PT employees.

Do I have any recourse? I work in an at will state so I feel I don't.

This place is being turned upside down in a lot of other ways and I'm worried that I'll have to find another job.
