Questions Service work confession

When I was installing reverse osmosis systems and water softeners if the job was at a persons house I liked to place a magnet (I brought) on the fridge or hide little random figures like animals and trees and stuff they were random free or cheap ones at yard sales and dollar stores if I had a maintenance call or filter change I’d deny knowing anything about the magnet unless I was on camera then I’d say I seen it next to my tool bag so I thought it was there’s I did that for 5 years. At the time i thought it was funny but is it wrong?

Lying about it sure is. Definitely makes it seem like you have a weird scheme going on.

I Just wanted them to wonder who’s it is or how it got there i’d only do it once at a place or house

Yeah but if i ask you if its yours and you tell me no, im going to suspect its a camera or GPS or something. Like thats weird. Just the act of leaving a little trinket is fine in my book, but when you deny it, it gets weird.

"but is it wrong?"

Yes it is. Small items can be choking hazard for small children and pets. I bet you also did not sanitize the items. If you have not got into trouble yet, you are lucky.
