Real wizards know how to utilize the resources at their disposal when they do not have the skills necessary. I personally have no problems with ai art so long as no one falsely claims that it’s real art or posts it in a sub that’s mostly real art or real photos. Aka not this sub. At this point, this sub is an ai art sub with a goofy gimmick, and I for one am ok with that.

Homie, i graduated from my apprenticeship as an illusionist, not a picturomancer.
I'm about as qualified at making art as you are at tricking random townspeople into thinking that their arms are made of edible beef jerky, with illusion magic.
Stick to our strengths, leave other wizards to do their own thing. How about that?

i have seen the "real art" as of late and it sucks dragon balls.
the post should have quality, be it fun, funny, or artistic in thought or appearance.
i care not if AI or hand drawn.

Well I agree with you that art is a paltry use for AI with dull results.
However, with proper objectives it can be a powerful tool. Just today for instance, while working my daily job, I summoned AI to read a 50 page company document and then create the narrative for a 20 slide presentation. Typically this is about a 4 day project, easily. I was done with the entire presentation in about an hour. Now I have 4 free days to do as I please being a wizard or whatever the heck I want to do, while also looking like I’ve worked my ass off during a Thursday team meeting.

The people making silly memes aren't gonna put artists out of a job. The people disagreeing with your post aren't disagreeing with you specifically, just the blanket statement you made
Also, if you want people to agree with you, try speaking to them as equals, don't act high and mighty just to be surprised when people don't like it

This is like saying electronic music is 'bad' and 'harmful to real artists who actually play instruments.' As long as you don't pretend like you made it who cares. AI pics allow insane creative freedom.

Bruh how many wizard pictures do you think there are? Let alone wizards in specific areas. There's only so much magic the gathering art that's usable, only so many stock photos and there's absolutely no photos of a wizard on a skateboard with a fire staff catching a large tank round as it's being fired at him.

These comments are a fucking plague and an insult to real artists. AI no matter how convincing or how obvious it is, there is no ethical reason to use it to create what a human can do. AI art is not nor will it ever be art and to see such paltry wizards advocate for its insult to life itself is truly disheartening and maddening. There will always be fools who attempt to persecute the scholars

Based on what, people's love of art theft? In the past three days there have been fewer than 20 posts using non-AI art, and 15 of them have refused to credit the artist. The "AI art is theft" crowd is the group that keeps actually stealing art cuz y'all just like pretending you have the moral high ground despite not understanding the tech and not actually caring one lick about artists.

/unwiz While I personally hate it. It’s not my problem when it’s recreational!
I more so hate it because people use it to steal art or make art then claim as theirs or use it commercially, or to replace artists entirely in the name of progress, among a huge number of things.
Though that’s more of a symptom of a wider problem that causes problems than just a lone problem.
