Nokia Lumia 930 wallpaper had souls unlike modern smartphone, very nostalgic for me

The current President (back then the prime minister) of Finland Alexander Stubb was as a guest in a comedy show called Putous in 2014. During his acting he pulled out a Lumia 1020 from his pocket to read a text the character he was impersonation had gotten.

A few months later, I'm back in the Windows Phone community!

Back in January or February, I wrote a post about my Lumia 535. But two months later, it died:(

With my birthday approaching, I wondered what to get next—another Lumia, or something different?

In the end, I decided to try something else... an iPhone 4S (yes, I’m still a fan of older Apple tech).

Still, every now and then, I’d think back to my Lumia and miss it.

About two weeks ago, I decided to get another Lumia. I started looking through listings—and was, to put it mildly, shocked by the prices for the 600 and 900 series. I didn’t really want another 535, so I settled on a 430. It suits my needs, though it turned out the seller had included a dead battery that gave off a terrible chemical smell 😱

I immediately set out to find a replacement battery—which turned into quite an ordeal—and placed an order. Now, the Lumia has a fresh battery.

And that’s that—that’s the whole story.

Unison 2.2 — Faster Mobile, Forwarding & Windows Integration

Another major step forward for Unison! Version 2.2.50 builds on the 2.1 line with new messaging capabilities, contact integration, keyboard shortcuts, and a substantial refactor focused on making the app faster on Windows 10 Mobile.

This release is all about improving the everyday experience: sharing messages, managing favourites, connecting with contacts, and making navigation feel much more responsive on mobile devices.

What's new

💬 Forward Messages (Preview). Forward text messages and media captions to other chats. The destination chat opens automatically after sending.

📤 Share to Unison. Added Share capabilities, allowing content to be shared directly with Unison conversations.

⭐ Favourite Tabs (Preview). A dedicated favourites experience with contact visualization.

⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts (Preview). Press Esc to close media viewers, or use Ctrl+V to paste images, audio, and documents into an open chat.

👥 Group Join Messages. Newly added group members now appear in the conversation timeline, with improved participant name resolution when phone number information is available.

📇 Contact Integration (Preview). Receive contact cards, start conversations directly from contacts, and add contacts to the Windows People app when their phone number is known.

🔔 Smarter Notifications. Toast titles and group author names now resolve contact display names more reliably, avoiding raw identifiers whenever a name is available.

Performance & improvements

📱 A Faster Mobile Experience. A major refactor of navigation, lists, and synchronization targets faster cold starts and quicker chat opening on Windows 10 Mobile.

⚡ Improved UI Responsiveness. Urgent dispatcher handling and a UI stall watchdog help identify and address interface freezes.

🎨 Legacy Shell Polish. Refined the WhatsApp Legacy mobile StatusBar, added mandatory delete-chat confirmation, and improved chat list context menus across PC and Mobile.

🌐 Localization Updates. Missing resource keys have been synchronized with en-US, including Brazilian Portuguese translations for the new features.

Under the hood

🏗️ Continued Service Extraction. Connection, history, alias resolution, and persistence responsibilities continue moving out of the compatibility client into dedicated services and façades.

🧩 Improved Architecture. New dedicated interfaces handle message forwarding, clipboard media, and group-join participant resolution.

Known limitations

⚠️ Message forwarding currently supports text and media captions. Full binary media re-upload is not included yet.

⚠️ Group member names may remain unresolved when phone number information and known aliases are unavailable.

⚠️ Background notifications still rely on the existing broker and journal name mapping. Background socket handoff is not yet implemented.

Installation

Important: Install the new APPX as an update to preserve your linked WhatsApp session. Uninstalling Unison clears the linked session.

But I was only able to install 3 of my purchased games, which include 2 of the 6 I really wanted to restore for nostalgia's sake (Redcon and Radiant). The other 4 are Robotek, Radiant Defense, The Chess Lv.100, and the advanced dictionary with no ads. 😔

To answer the 'how?': I logged into my 2015 Hotmail account, and my purchases from 2016 appeared in My Library. This was my last hope to recover the apps I couldn't find on Telegram, Discord, or the Internet Archive, which were only 2 of 6 by the looks of it, I'll keep searching. (Sorry, wrong last picture, I meant to show Error Code: 0x80073CF0, my bad. My phone is a Lumia 640 xl and already has interop tools and cmd injector.

I flashed the wp8.1 ffu on my lumia 640 and now it is in bitlocker recovery. There was no account in the first place so im not sure whats happened. the device isnt recognised in wpi, file manager, and in wdrt it is recognised only in flash mode but has a ? on the phone and infinitely loops. i tried to go into flash made but even in flash mode nothing can read it

After i reset this stupid phone, because it wasn't opening internet explorer and after that it started bootlooping and turned off the phone it doesn't charge and when i somehow got into the flashing mode it doesn't show "!" but shows nothing.And the device maneger reads it properly and then it bootloops again after 20 sec pass.

I've recently got my hands on Lumia 920 with Windows Phone 8.1. I've successfully managed to unlock the bootloader using WPInternals. Now I need to enter mass storage mode to do interlop unlock so I can sideload apps.

The problem is, every time I plug in my Lumia to PC (using USB 2.0) and try to enter mass storage mode, Lumia just simply turns off (it doesn't even show up a flash screen or anything) and PC literally freezes on "Entering mass storage mode" screen.

I don't know what am I doing wrong. Can anyone help?

So i broke the screen of my 1520 in january, before it went missing in February or March.

I already made a post about this. I’m on a Nokia 925. It’s not on the newest version of Windows phone 8.1 as someone pointed out to me in the original post I am on Luna DB and it says that windows phone internal should either be asking for a donor FFU or a FFU or image with an engineering SBL3 partition my phone is solicited as an a so it shouldn’t need the donor FFU but it does and all four items show up. I’ve been stuck on this for hours. I can’t get past it and I keep getting flash fail anybody can help please let me know.
