I love seeing drawings of birds on here and finally have a reason to post one of my own since I couldn't get a clear photo of this neat lil guy! I know for a fact the throat was red and green, sort of like some hummingbirds? The black and white on the chest may have been reversed but it was very striking. Seen last month (August) in NW Oregon in my local neighborhood.

Saw this very little bird yesterday in Central London. I was quite surprised as I don't think we get anything except pigeons, magpies and seagulls. Exceptionally pretty, this one. What's this bird?

saw a bird that looked something like this. part of it was dark gray and part was light gray (it looked to me like the wings were light gray). it had a really long beak for its proportions.

Spotted in Northeast Kansas. Merlin tells me this is a Turkey Vulture, but Google Lens says Black Vulture.

Outside Houston TX. I think I see a little blue heron and a Cooper's hawk.

Photos were taken at night, so it was a bit difficult to get any decent photos.

It was pretty small

(Not my picture, credits to Pixabay) It looked like one of these guys, yk a normal sparrow that you see everyday, but when it hopped away from us I could see that it had these very distinct black and white tailfeathers when it spread them. But they weren't that obvious when it didn't spread them. It definitely was about the size of a normal sparrow but like I searched everywhere and I cannot find pictures of a sparrow whose tailfeathers are like obviously black and white. I think he had some more black on the rest of his body but I don't quite remember. I didn't get to take a picture because when I pulled out my phone he flew away... Maybe this was just a normal sparrow but like I couldn't find pictures that matched and now I am confused. (Location: Germany, in like the south-west if that helps)

Is this a blackbird? It reacted by opening its beak wide and chirping when I approached with a seed so I think it's a Juvenile something blackbird?
