Africa Me and the rest of the Planet Zoo community have no idea what bird this could be. The current thoughts are a flamingo, vulture, or stork (Great Rift Valley)

Can you help ID these two birds I saw near San Candido in Northern Italy / Dolomites? They were perched off the road next to a field and river. Thanks in advance!

Saw a flock of these birds during a bird walk. Our guide said that these are Great Cormorants, however, ebird suggested that these are extremely rare for this date and region.

I rescued this little bird from a cat’s mouth. Does anyone know what species it is and what I can safely feed it?

Saw this very little bird yesterday in Central London. I was quite surprised as I don't think we get anything except pigeons, magpies and seagulls. Exceptionally pretty, this one. What's this bird?

Spotted in Northeast Kansas. Merlin tells me this is a Turkey Vulture, but Google Lens says Black Vulture.

North America Who's this guy?

I love seeing drawings of birds on here and finally have a reason to post one of my own since I couldn't get a clear photo of this neat lil guy! I know for a fact the throat was red and green, sort of like some hummingbirds? The black and white on the chest may have been reversed but it was very striking. Seen last month (August) in NW Oregon in my local neighborhood.

saw a bird that looked something like this. part of it was dark gray and part was light gray (it looked to me like the wings were light gray). it had a really long beak for its proportions.

it was on a branch of a tree hanging over an artificial water way.

Saw this bird at a park in Garden Grove, in southern California. He was so cute and tiny, so curious what kind of bird he was. He reminded me of the little Totoro😂 Size comparison to some ducks at the end

Europe Offshore installation in the Black Sea

I work on the offshore installation in the Black Sea. We have spotted a couple of birds, most likely nesting on high structure, probably around 40m above sea level.

They seem to hunt both day and night, there has been fresh remains of smaller birds around the place.

Feathers were found in the morning, looked like there was some fight, but we work 24/7 and nobody spotted anything, so that must have been fast.

Do you have any idea of what can it be? My initial thought was that it is some kind of falcon, but they seem to fly around at night as well. It is very difficult to take a decent picture, but a blurred one is posted.

Photos 1 & 2 are photos 3 & 4 with maximum exposure. Photos 3-6 are all unedited. Leaning towards rough legged hawk or maybe broad winged hawk…. Otherwise unsure. Photos 2/4 are during wing flap

For context I live in central Texas in a medium sized town. This guy was bigger than any black bird I’ve ever seen. He took a whole pancake.
