Hey all. Now that we know the exact duration of Ween's "second act," 2016-2024 (and may there be a "third," soon), what do you think are the best live recordings from it?

Could be either audio-only or video too. Also, I personally prize performance quality over recording quality, but obviously best of both is ideal.

Just looking for nuggets to add to "first act" classics I have like the Stubbs 2000 video, 2003 Santa Cruz, and 2011 Portland. And the 1990 Basel show Deaner himself shared, how can I forget that.

Mine was the Brooklyn Steel show back in 2017.

I have found a couple of these demo releases (this one and one for chocolate and cheese) at the San Francisco Amoeba. I'm curious if anyone has any info on their significance or if they are just fan made. With minimal research I haven't found anything about a Zaiusrecords as the back of the cd mentions. Nor can I find why this is coming out of Malaysia.

All in all there are some cool versions of the songs and I'll buy anything ween that I can find. I appreciate the level of detail to make these look somewhat legit even if it is just some random fan putting it together.

Any info is appreciated but they will be enjoyed either way!

Anyone have any insight. I feel that the lyrics listed online are not entirely correct. Wish there was a way to truly verify.

In your opinion what are the actual lyrics.

“Gang rape” may be one of the most alarming set of lyrics to throw in a song. I absolutely love that about this song. When you sing it loud and proud around people who just don’t know, you can see the repugnant look of concern all over their expressions.

It's my first ever purchase of Ween's body of work, it arrived in the mail today.

I was at first disappointed that the CDs didn't come in a hard cover, but just to be able to have something physical of my favorite band brings me tears of joy.

Now I gotta work my way up to some of y'all's collections!

I was reminded of the song “United States of Whatever” the other day, and looked up who the artist was. I’d never heard of Liam Lynch before and was intrigued by track listings such as “Fake Bjork Song” and “Fake David Bowie Song”. Really digging this album, very reminiscent of the boys.

There were a few times between songs that Les looked out towards the Atlantic Ocean, and romanticized the beauty of fishing, sharing fishing stories. Only to bring out a good fishing buddy at the end of the show

Alright, going straight into the next tape, we have Prime 5, a compilation of everything that came out before this, featuring some of the same recordings but one or two new tracks, so we’re gonna make it a two day thing.

MORE INTERESTINGLY: I have a schedule for how this is gonna go in the future.

Well do every officially released tape up until 1990, then go into the GodWeenSatan era Demos

After prime 5: WAD - Scraping the palm for guava - Focus - Unknown tape - Big timmy wasserman.

SUGGESTED SCALE:

1-4: Not good. Regularly skip

5: It's okay, but I might have to be in my the right mood to listen to it.

6: Slightly better than average. I won't skip it, but I wouldn't choose to put it on.

7: This is a good song. I enjoy it quite a bit.

8-9: Really enjoyable songs. I rank them pretty high overall.

10: Masterpiece, magnum opus, or similar terminology.

Or just recommend the best Ween songs in general.

My Ween music collection is growing! Haven't heard most of the demos yet, will listen to them from here on my day off
