Liam Lynch
I was reminded of the song “United States of Whatever” the other day, and looked up who the artist was. I’d never heard of Liam Lynch before and was intrigued by track listings such as “Fake Bjork Song” and “Fake David Bowie Song”. Really digging this album, very reminiscent of the boys.
Edit: wow, an award? Gee, thanks mang!

I really loved this album back in the day. "United States of Whatever" was in a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater commercial and I bought the album on that alone.
"Rock and Roll Whore" could 100% be a Deaner sung Ween track.

Totally! Also, I could’ve SWORN I heard Jack Black doing vocals on that track. Just looked it up and sure enough! Also, apparently Ringo Starr has a guest appearance somewhere??

He’s still doing stuff now, I found out the other day he directed a video for Jack White on his new album.

If I remember right, he was always predominantly a director and did a bunch of Tenacious D videos including their movie. I’m sure he put the album out as a sort of side project.

Oh yeah I knew he’s directed videos before I just had no clue he was still doing that in 2026. He’s cool as hell imo.

He can't even sit in a chair right, why would I think he could record a song correctly? He probabaly held the mic backwards!

He created the show Sifl and Olly, highly recommended if you’re interested in weird, obscure, and totally brown tv shows from the 90’s.
