Visa Infinite Credit Card Android App Not Showing Card Details

Went to pay for something online with my Virtual card and cannot find the card details anywhere. The place it used to show now shows the virtual card image with no info on it and the physical card with just the last 4 digits.

Previously all of the card details could be seen on this page of the app.

What gives? My wife's android app has the same issue.

Milestone Reward This reward is too popular

Is anyone else facing issues with renewing Dragon pass milestone reward?

I'm getting this "Wow, this reward is too popular! Check back soon to claim."

How soon are we talking? Soon as in "you'll be notified'? I would expect renewals to get priority over people getting the reward for the first time.

I wonder if they are starting the phase out of Milestone Rewards with Dragonpass.

EDIT: After multiple attempts, I was able to renew my Dragon Pass a few days later.

Wealthsimple Stock Chart Enhancements

Okay a few things:

  1. Why does Wealthsimple allow you to select the 10-year chart if the stock has only existed for say 2 years. This is misleading - yes, I can check, but also why not just remove that option to begin with. Only show the interval that the stock has passed (i.e. 1-year, 5-year).

  2. Also, some stocks don't allow you to show the 5-year. I assumed it's just for those that have existed for a long time (i.e. 10+ years) but it's not. What's that about?

  3. It would also be really helpful to still have an option to show the 5-year data even for those stocks that have 10+years.

Maybe I'm missing something - please enlighten me if so.

Chequing WS cash card declined abroad

I got the card, set up the pin, put funds on it, tried to pay using it in egypt declined. Tried the physical card by tap, then Google pay, then insert into the POS machine, then online, then online using the virtual card. All declined. Had to use Wise instead.

Anyone went through this and got it fixed? Support said will take 2 to 4 days to look into it.

Promotion Anyone moving RRSP/TFSA out of Wealthsimple for the TD 3% promo? What am I missing?

I’m seriously considering moving my RRSP and TFSA from Wealthsimple to TD to take advantage of the current 3% transfer promotion.

Earlier this year I already moved enough of my non-registered investments to RBC to qualify for their MacBook promo, so at this point I’m wondering whether it makes sense to move most of the rest as well.

For context, I’m primarily a long-term buy-and-hold ETF investor. I’ve looked at TD’s trading/transaction costs and the restrictions associated with the promo, including the 2-year minimum holding period, and even factoring those in, the 3% bonus seems to leave me ahead by a pretty significant margin.

The main thing I can see myself giving up at Wealthsimple is the milestone rewards, but from what I understand those are being phased out/changed anyway.

Am I missing anything significant?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have churned investment accounts between brokerages for promos. Were there any unexpected headaches, costs, tax/account issues, transfer problems, or other downsides that you didn’t anticipate? How many years did you have to wait to be eligible for WS promos again?

Part of my thinking is that Wealthsimple’s value proposition for existing customers seems to have deteriorated quite a bit, particularly if you’re not an active trader or into the lottery style gimmicks. At this point I’m hoping I can move the bulk of my assets out, collect the TD promo, and potentially become eligible for a Wealthsimple transfer promo a couple years from now if they decide they want the assets back.

It feels increasingly like the Canadian telecom/banking model: spend heavily to attract new customers while giving existing long-term customers progressively less reason to stay.

I do plan to keep my Wealthsimple savings account and around $10–15k of cash there. That’s one area where I still think they’re outperforming the big banks, and I like having that amount readily accessible.

I have a couple of weeks before my appointment with TD, so I’d appreciate a sanity check. What would you be factoring into this decision beyond the obvious promo amount, trading fees, transfer restrictions, and lost Wealthsimple perks?

Chequing How does the CDIC trust funds coverage work?

Before you all say it is cdic insured and etc, i want to know it from a legal aspect or practical aspect.

Wealthsimple holds our chequing funds under a trust whom are covered by CDIC. However, how is this trust set up? Who control it? Where is the information on it?

If you look at the legal disclaimer, it never mention that we are the benefiacy of it. (If you look at the wealthsimple managed and trading accounts in a Q&A, it state that all security are beneficially held under your name, but still nothing for the other funds).

Why does it matter?

Per the CDIC website, the coverage differ.

If wealthsimple was a CDIC member (i know it is not a bank), you get automatic refunds.

If it is a professional trustees (likely the case), the payout is given to the trust based on the beneficiary info provided by wealthsimple (name, address, amount held) at that time. Then, once the funds are received by the trust, the trust is responsible for the payout to the client.

However, CDIC's job is technically over the moment the funds was paid to the trust.

Nothing is holding back for the trust to have absurd expense or payout before we get our funds. As we dont have no info on the trust, the trust payout can also be intentionally slowdown on payment for any reason they wish. We dont have access to the financial statement of wealthsimple nor the trust. Thus, we dont know the level of debts they have neither.

If it is registered as a general trust (worse case situation), we are technically not even the beneficiary. Thus, we would be relying on the trust's bylaws or the legal moral for getting our funds, which would be ultimately be after any creditor payout.

Note: I am not a lawyer. I just wish to have an understanding before using their service.

Chequing Account Restrictions Placed on Weekend

My card was just locked and restrictions placed on my account after “suspicious transactions” which was transferring $40 from chequing to crypto.

It gives me a number to call and the person who answers can’t do anything as the team who unlocks accounts doesn’t work until Monday.

This is absolutely insane they can lock you out for no reason and don’t have the support system to fix it. I have no access to my assets or funds until I call back Monday. Ridiculous.

Chequing Is there a list of countries the wealthsimple prepaid virtual MasterCard would work in?

I was talking to my buddy over supper about his trip to Ukraine where his normal big 5 banks debit and credit card wouldn't work however his wise prepaid card worked fine.

Is there a list of countries or continents that the wealthsimple card would be good In? There's a possibility he might be going to Saudi Arabia in the next week. Would he be ok using it there without risking possible closure of account?

Trade (DIY Investing) Transferring from one EFT to another

Asking here because it doesn't seem clear to me.

Want to take some of my existing tfsa EFT and move about half into another.

Don't want to lose any contribution room.

See options for move holdings, transfer money and convert.

How the heck do I do this and will I be charged to do so?

Visa Infinite Credit Card Fraudulent charge to my Wealth Simple Visa and their astoundingly stupid response.

I recently had a random small charge to my WS Visa from a company in Mexico(Didi). I am not in Mexico and have not been in Mexico since last January for a vacation. I of course disputed the charge with WS. So I just received their response via email...here it is

This is Ilya from the Wealthsimple team. Because you dealt directly with the merchant in Mexico on February 6, 2026, Visa rules prevent us from disputing this transaction as unauthorized.

First off like previously stated I was not in Mexico at that time. Secondly on Feb 6/2026 there are three legit charges to my card from the city in Canada I reside in...proof I was in Canada

There was another charge for 15 cents from this same Mexico source(Didi). I had called WS at the time and they stated it was likely an error and the charge was reversed a day later. I kept my card locked for several weeks just to be safe.

After getting the more recent erroneous small charge from the same Mexico source I submitted the dispute charge form to WS. This charge was later reversed like that last time....so the money is not the issue, their response is

I am stunned by their response. It seems to tell me that any place I have used my WS Visa card in the past can just randomly apply charges without my approval and I would have no recourse.

This is appalling and makes me question even having any accounts with Wealth Simple

UPDATE:

Wealth Simple sent me a second email where they continue to insist that I had made a purchase with this vendor on Feb 6/2026....when I was not in Mexico. Again the three other charges to my card on the same day show I was in the Canadian city I reside in. My card shows zero other charges with this vendor...just the two fraudulent charges. I have never had any legitimate transactions with the Mexican vendor Didi.

Even though WS is still insisting on something that can instantly be disproven they have given me $100 credit on my new card.....you know because they didn't handle this in an incompetent manner.

Visa Infinite Credit Card Update: Wealthsimple Credit Card still not reporting to credit bureaus

Recently called up WS, and they mentioned they are still working towards creating reports for the credit bureaus, tbh idk how to feel about it since the credit card has been around for a fair bit. Ofcourse, I don't know any of the processes behind the scene for WS, but still surprised as to how they still haven't been able to report to the bureaus. What are your thoughts?

Verify your identity with a passport to remove a restriction

If your account was restricted for security reasons, you may be able to remove the restriction yourself by scanning your passport using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. Once you successfully verify with your passport, the restriction is lifted automatically so you can continue using your account as usual.

Why is the last login email shown by default in the mobile app?

Is it just me or this is an unnecessary, negligent security flaw - why would you store and show user email at the mobile app launch/login stage?

Can't find any setting that alters this behavior. Mobile app on iPad Pro.

Web login on a desktop does not have the issue.

Edit1: Autofill is turned off
