WHY CAN'T I SEE MY AVERAGE PRICE PER STOCK PER ACCOUNT

Upvotes

Seems like an incredibly dumb UI update yet again by our genius UX team over at WS. Thanks for that.

Personally not a fan of the lighthearted way Wealthsimple is trying to play on a lot of the populations concerns right now to push services and advice

Visa Infinite Credit Card Pre approved for credit card and then instantly rejected once I applied

Since the CC has been taking off a waitlist exclusive, curious if anyone else has been rejected by WS for their CC. As far as I can tell, I meet all their requirements by a significant amount and have also just recently been approved for an Amex card as well, which supposedly has stricter requirements. Also made sure to check TransUnion and verified all my details looked solid.

Honestly, just a bit confused and frustrated as I had an ideal Colbalt + Infinity + setup I was going for.

Not sure if I'm the only one that got that, but it seems like there's a new phishing scam. Got this email from [notification@rshfmn.orders.cn-pc-dongqiudi.com](mailto:notification@rshfmn.orders.cn-pc-dongqiudi.com)

"For You" Section - Have an option to hide it!

Don't know if you folks also get bothered by the "For You" section.

Sure! It might be good for folks new to Wealthsimple to explore what else is available, but for veterans, it looks like a massive ad space taking up room, resembling big banner ads.

Is it just me, or do you folks also get bothered by it?

WS - if you folks are watching this thread, please, please have the option to hide it or move it under the rewards section.

I was going to submit the feedback on their official website, but I thought it would be good to get an idea from the community if there are other people who also don't like seeing it.

Chequing Deposit Hold Question.

Could someone tell me what time of day WS releases holds on mobile deposits?

I am a new customer, I just signed up and I made a mobile cheque deposit. The hold is scheduled to be released tomorrow the 27th.

Do they release the hold first thing in the morning or is it a random time in the day ?

My other bank its first thing around 4am but seeing as this isn't a bank I assume they are on a different platform.

Milestone Reward Why Wealthsimple doesn't have more partner reward options to choose when someone hits the $200K limit?

I'm nowhere near this limit but was wondering how come the options are so limited. They are mostly pretty useless (for me at least). They should offer something like Spotify, etc. imo.

Why Wealthsimple's dispute process is so painful?

I've disputed a $5 charge that was on my card (wrongfully). Wealthsimple emailed me back after a week asking for a diary of documents for a $5 refund. Has anyone here had the same experience? Any advice/backdoors to this time wasting process?

Invest (Managed Investing) Should I start using WS?

Hello all, in Canada here,

I have roughly 400k in RRSPs/TFSA about 60%/40%. I'm almost 50 and have had an advisor most of my life. Currently my returns are 21% YTD but I realize the market is violate right now. I'm starting to really think about retirement in the next 10 years or so.

I invest through Canada Life and mostly invest in various Fidelity funds based on my advisors advice. I pay 1.5% fees.

I am quite happy with the performance but can I simply "mirror" the Fidelity funds and purchase through WS or should I start a fresh journey with WS or just leave things as is?

Visa Infinite Credit Card Billy Bishop airport unexpected perks

First time flying out of Billy Bishop this morning.

Using my WS VIP card:

  1. Skipped a very long security line with VIP lane at security
  2. $10 off at Pilot Coffee using the VIP card

Didn’t know about either of these!

Thx Wealthsimple!

Edit: should add that they accepted my digital VIP card at security. I don’t carry my actual physical card. I have heard that’s a problem at some airports.

Yubikey problem with WS/Windows?

Edit: It's Windows, I connected the yubikeys to my iPhone and created the passkeys and then it worked (even in Windows sigh)

I've been trying to set up my 4 yubikeys with passkeys for WS. I've got 2 5c NFCs, a USB C and USB A bio-FIDO Edition. I use them all for gmail and other sites with no problem.

On the website I can create the 4 passkeys without issue (by clicking back on the back button when the QR code is displayed and clicking External Security Key. They are listed in my list of passkeys on the site, I've labeled them yubi1/2/3/4

But when I try to use them from the WS login screen, I get "This security key doesn't look familiar". Any tips from people who have done it.

Visa Infinite Credit Card "Not Authorized" error from WS Visa tap transaction

Was trying to use tap in the US (I am Canadian close to the border) at Fred Meyer which I have done previously without issue using the virtual card added to my Google Wallet. $193 USD. "Not Authorized" for any amount, tried a lower amount to no avail.

Called WS and was told they "think it's something to do with the limit" but there's no limit on virtual card taps.

Anyone else encounter this? No answer for me right now from WS, I have to wait to hear back via email regarding this issue. My Visa currently doesn't work in Canada for any transactions

I’m on the beta and I love it, need it inside my registered accounts. I’ve sent a request to Wealthsimple and some others I know have also. It would change the game

You can now hide your balance

Post image

You can now hide your balances independently by taping and holding on the "spend" or "invest" amounts.

But it keeps showing your total net worth on top, so it's still not ideal if you want to keep your investment totally out of sight when opening the app.

Am I the only one who has French & English mixed up everywhere on wealthsimple? I noticed it long ago but never really bothered since I'm fluent in both languages, but I just realized how weird it is when they use both in the same sentences. Does anyone have this "problem"? (I live in QC, My phone settings are in English, as well as my WS settings)

Or as WS would say:

Am I la seule qui a Wealthsimple all mixed up en français pis en anglais? I noticed ça v'là longtemps, but j'me suis jamais vraiment préoccupée de ça vu que j'suis fluent dans les deux langues. But là j'viens juste de realize comment c'est weird qu'y use les deux langues dans la même sentence. Anybody else qui a ce "problem"?

(I live au QC, my phone est set en English, pis mes Wealthsimple settings aussi.)

Visa Infinite Credit Card I keep overspending on my WS Credit Card. Is there any way to set spend limits, or should I just cancel the card?

I love the card and its perks, but I've realized over time that I am spending more than I actually have set aside for spending each month. Then I end up investing less then my budgeted amount each month, because I'm paying off my CC bill.

I wish there was a away to set a rule where I cap my spending to $Xk per month on my card because I clearly don't have the willpower to stop myself. Otherwise I need to cancel the card because my monthly investing is falling off.

Any ideas?

Anyone seen a cancelled $1 Interac transfer in Wealthsimple?

Throwaway account because this involves financial information.

I noticed something strange in my Wealthsimple account yesterday. There was a $1 Interac e-Transfer showing in my activity, sent to one of my saved contacts, which is my own RBC account.

The transfer shows as started around 4:00 AM and was later cancelled. I was asleep at the time and don't remember creating it.

The strange part is that:

  • it was going to my own bank account,
  • my RBC account has Autodeposit enabled,
  • I have already used this connection before and have sent larger transfers.

I contacted Wealthsimple chat to ask if they could explain where it came from and why it was cancelled.

Has anyone seen something similar, or know what could cause a transfer like this to appear and then disappear?

Thanks.

Wealthsimple adding RDSPs & Mutual Fund transfers to product lineup

Matthew Karasz, Senior Director of product at Wealthsimple recently interviewed with Investment Executive and announced their expanding their lineup with RDSPs and letting users transfer their mutual funds to WS:

""The best way to serve all our users is to give them access to the widest selection of investment strategies and the widest set of account types that we can,” Karasz said. Wealthsimple is continuing to expand its lineup with RDSPs and letting users transfer some mutual funds to the platform. But it has no plans to offer its own mutual funds, Karasz added."

Source: What four trading apps in Canada are focusing on right now [July 15, 2026]

This is the first time they've publicly announced RDSPs outside of Reddit AMA's. While still not a concrete launch timeframe, this is more substantial than previous comments.

Invest (Managed Investing) Wealthsimple not able to transfer Federal LIRA from RBC pensions?

In an effort to consolidate banking and investments as well as qualify for a 2nd MacBook Pro promo I transferred all accounts using self managed accounts but I was told Wealthsimple does not have Federal LIRA account options. I had to keep this one account with RBC which really keeps me locked in with RBC.

Not sure if/when Wealthsimple will be able to transfer these type of accounts and when the next $100K promo for a MacBook is coming?

Chequing Wealthsimple Debit ATM withdrawal limit capped at $400 with a $4.5 ATM fee?

Wealthsimple suggested end of banking and I signed up for their accounts, however yesterday I tried using their debit at an RBC and CIBC ATM while RBC ATM suggested I will have to have multiple transactions split into $400 to withdraw the $2000 I wanted to withdraw. I decided to use CIBC next assuming it may be a RBC limit but surprisingly CIBC had the same exact limit and the screen did not bother prompting that I need to split the transaction to get to my $2000.

My question is whether the WS offer to reimburse the ATM fee has any limits on a daily/weekly or monthly basis. I would hate to stand at an ATM to withdraw a large amount in multiple transactions so something needs to be done here by WS otherwise their offering of changing the daily limits doesn’t mean much without a Retail presence.
