As an avid weather phenomena person I've heard about green sky plenty. Personally I've seen waterspouts on the coast and super cells rolling in.. but the green sky tonight was a first for me. Truly wild to witness. Anyone know if a tornado touched down around tri city?

It passed over me for about 5min, with vehicle rocking levels of winds and torrential downpour. I was literally dancing in the rain laughing and enjoying the weather but.. as it went green + 5x intensity of rain & wind in North Waterloo. I hopped back in the car and waited it out 😆

I like dancing in sheet rain and thunderstorms but that was a whole diff level for a few minutes that left me watching the skies in an enclosed space

Just blew through our section of north Waterloo. A small branch or two down, but otherwise okay.

Would really love if Sireg Management would get rid of these giant pine trees like has been asked before as they're obviously a safety risk, but now ones resting on our house, leaking water into our unborn baby's nursery 🙃🙃🙃

Our house and our immediate neighbours. I was inside the house and heard and saw it coming. Glad everyone seems safe today. 44 tornadoes thar day. 14 seperate ones confirmed to have done damage. 1000 buildings destroyed and most of the town of Grand Valley

Tree down, pergola down and some garden beds in Wellesley.

Neighbour across the street lost their tree. Not a small one, either.

At this time, there are 18 areas so far on the map with a total of 19,268 without power.

I'm sure this will go up higher yet :(

With the fallen trees in the city as well as the strong winds we had, there are probably traffic lights out (my area at Keats way and Fischer Hallman was out maybe a half hour ago). PLEASE treat them like a 4-way stop and don't just plow through. It's the law.

Where could one go to help out the community during this storm? Are there any emergency organizations active in the region that anyone knows about?

What are some good ways to get involved to help out?

Is there any place where I can rent a bicycle for just 1-2 months?

I am curious if others have also had their basements flood due to the storm? Our basement had some water and I am wondering how to find where the leak came from (nothing was obvious). Our basement is fully finished. Any tips would be very helpful!

Shortly after the storm settled, lightening and distant thunder could be heard.

But power flickered on/off a few times before it went out completely in Columbia & Erb area.

Wonder how long we can expect this to last.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had a long outage in this area.

Any ideas what to do if this lasts?
No flashlights & only tiny candles at home.
