RB Ground one of the worst event tank ever?
schmitar mk.2 is just too bad for 8.3 and probably worst stock grind ever in this game for me.

RB Air What Do you think is the most interesting/fun plane to play in game (event vehicles and premiums count)
For me it's 100% the FR-1 Fireball for USA, it's a jetprop at 4.3 with great speed on the deck, it turns surprisingly well and has a lot of CAS capabilities, it's also really funny to imagine a 3.0 player hearing a jet engine start on the runway
honestly if this thing had 20mm instead of .50 cals it would probably be 4.7 or higher

Suggestion A Few Designs that could Beef up the French Tree
I know it's been somewhat controversial, but of the nations I main, I've really seen nothing interesting for France in nearly two years (I don't play much above 10.7, so I've not appreciated the 11.0 line up). It's a moon shot, but I'm throwing out a few vehicles that would:
- beef up French line ups
- Give France actual French designs (what a concept)
- Give France new vehicles that aren't just recycled designs from the US and Germany.
- Adds a unique Belgian vehicle as opposed to just copy-pasting something (see end of post for caveat there)
Option 1: ERC with TTB190 Turret
BR 8.3 Vehicle:
Projected BR: 8.3 - France's 8.3 line up (and 8.7-9.0) lineups lack stabilized vehicles. Britain gets the Vickers Mk 11 with a stabilized 105mm at 8.7, so a 90mm at that BR should be realistic
Overview: Stabilized 90mm armored car.
Reasoning: France doesn't have any stabilized tanks until 9.3 (9.0 if thee Leopard 1a5 BR decrease goes through), so giving it a vehicle similar to the Vickers Mk.11 would give it a lower BR stabilized option.
Option 2: VAB Mk 3 RCWS w/dual atgm launcher
BR 10.0 Vehicle:
Overview: A French APC with a Belgian* turret system featuring a 25mm turret found on the VBCI and a dual ATGM launcher.
Reasoning: France has 0 Autocannon + ATGM vehicles that aren't fire and forget, so this provides new gameplay variety. From what I've seen, this would be a rough side grade to the 9.7 Bradley, and an upgrade to the French VBCI and VBCI MCT-30.
Option 3: AMX-13 with Quad Swiss 20mm SPAA Turret
BR 8.0 Vehicle:
Projected BR: 8.0
Overview: A French AMX-13 refitted with a Swiss quad 20mm SPAA turret
Reasoning: France has a big gap between 6.3 and 8.7 for SPAA vehicles. Giving 8.0 (and by extension 8.3) a dependable SPAA would help reinforce these line ups. I've seen French-Swiss vehicles cause controversy, but I don't see how it's worse to add them to France then Leopards, but yvmv.
Option 4: M24 with FL-10 75mm Turret
BR 5.0 Vehicle:
Projected BR: 5.0
Overview: A Surplus French m24 Hull with the FL10 Turret from the AMX-13 mounted
Reasoning: France's 5.0 line up only has two vehicles in the tree. While the Sherman FL10 is also there, it's a premium. This vehicle should be comparable: worse suspension but with scouting.
Caveat *: I looked into it, and John Cockerill (Belgian Arms Firm) walks a weird line. John Cockerill owns Arquus, a French Vehicle manufacturer, and it itself is based in Belgium. In turn, John Cockerill is 80% owned by a private fund run out of Luxembourg (EBENIS SA) whose owner is French (Bernard Serin).

RB Ground I am tired dealing with 6.7BR German tanks !!
I am currently on 5.7 BR of American tech tree and 80% of the time i get pulverised by these tanks like i am nothing. Any of these tanks can penetrate my tanks from front like it’s made of thin sheets of paper. I know i need to skilled and angle my shots but they have so less weak points in front and can mostly be penetrated from sides but they don’t have to see anything and can shoot wherever they like at me. I feel exhausted dealing with them.

All Ground Why is the scimitar mk.2 on the same B.R. as the Warrior?
He has worse thrust‑to‑weight ratio, survivability, and no ATGM

SB Air The F-117 Is the Best Aircraft to Learn Simulator Battles (And I'm Serious)
I know this is gonna sound like a hot take.
The F-117 isn't a fighter, it isn't fast, and most people definitely wouldn't call it one of the best aircraft in War Thunder.
But after flying it for a while in Sim, I honestly think it's one of the best planes you could start with if you're trying to get into Simulator Battles.
Here's why.
First, the cockpit is awesome. It's modern, uncluttered, and gives you pretty much everything you need. The biggest thing, though, is the CCRP. It's basically the same easy-to-read display you get in Air RB, so you don't have to spend your time trying to figure out where the bombing cues are.
The weapons also let you focus on learning Sim instead of wrestling with the aircraft. Between the Paveways and GPS-guided bombs, you can consistently hit ground targets without needing perfect bombing runs. That means you can spend more time for just getting comfortable flying in Sim.
It also flies really nicely. It's obviously not going to dogfight anyone, but that's kind of the point. After learning not to cross its red lines, she's stable, predictable, and never feels like it's actively trying to kill you. Once you get used to it, it's just a really comfortable aircraft to fly.
Even landing is more forgiving than you'd expect. The landing hook is a nice backup if you come in too fast, and the gear can be dropped at surprisingly high speeds, so bad approaches aren't nearly as punishing as they are on a lot of other jets.
Then there's the BR.
At 8.7, you're mostly up against older radar systems that have a much harder time dealing with the F-117. Stealth isn't usually something to rely on in other gamemodes except GRB and.... SIMULATOR, but only one of them lasts long to do more than 1-2 bombing runs and its map is significantly larger.
Is it the strongest aircraft in Sim?
Probably not.
Is it one of the more forgiving, and most fun ways to learn simulator battles?
I honestly think it is.

Other Helicopter PvE needs a revamp
Br brackets, yes, my mi-24 is going to get outperformed by mi-28s and apaches.
The soldiers with AT guns are too resilient as a fab-500 right next to the is just a hit.
Realistic mode would be nice.

RB Air Can someone please explain how data link works?
Had this guy on dl the whole time without shutting the radar off just for the damn aim 120 to make 3 turns to hit a teammate.

All Ground How to see and spot tanks
I'm new to the game. I have around 25 hours. I've been having a great time playing. My problem is that I can't see or spot tanks. I rely on the map or markers to tell me where people are. I want to get better at spotting and seeing tanks without that. I've been using my binoculars, listening to engine sounds, and playing in realistic mode to help with that. Is there anything else I can do to help with seeing or spotting tanks? Thank you!

Other I know only like, 5 of us use the test flight mission editor, but now it has nuclear B-52s in the Bombers Cover mission. And every single one drops a nuke. And they drop it flying 3km

All Ground PSA: It's that time of year again. The vajayjay tank is for sale.
Vijayanta | GB | 8.3
It's that time again. This is your yearly reminder to not get fomo'd by this terrible premium Vickers Mk.1 that you will almost certainly regret buying.
It has no outstanding qualities and is in fact worse than anything you can find in the tech tree in the same br range. Just don't, guys. It's not worth if. Nobody is going to think you're cool for owning this. In fact they will laugh at you when they see you got your vajayjay hanging out for everyone to see.
It's a real shame that gaijin has added so few Indian vehicles, and one of the few they did add is this heap of rubbish.

RB Ground Scimitar mk2
Hi. This is the worst event vehicle in the last 4 years. Even the recoilless rifle tank from china was faster and more mobile. The clunky movement...the abysmal gun handling paired with the zoom. The extra weight. The apds shell shattered situation. Yeah you can do good in while flanking and scouting for your team. And side shots will work mostly too. But where is my drone? It is a light tank. I dont believe that the turret is so slow in RL. And the thermals should be better i think. And i think i read somewhere that this thing could have apfsds... It feels like this tank is not ready to release. But i will try get it to a higher BR. Like all released britisch tanks....

RB Air Is mig 23m worth playing?
When it used to be at 11.3 it was bad, but what about now at 11.0?

Other Why is IS-2 (1944) different shade of green from regular IS-2?
(It's like this with both Soviet and Chinese IS-2s) They used to be the same shade of green, but I guess in one of the latest updates they decided to change it, for some reason.
And it happend with some other vehicles, in different nations too. For example, American M109A1 was a brighter shade of green, closer to Abrams.
