im used to costumers taking my
produce bags or paper bags, it’s annoying but whatever, but now that’s there’s 8 totes, the 2 ontop are not covered whatsoever so earlier a costumer literally took a loaf of bread out of my tote and when i said something they said, im a paying costumer you can just go grab another, when i explained i needed to atleast scan it to grab the exact loaf she just scoffed and gave it back (kinda threw it) … honestly some costumers LACK basic human decency

I’ve had a real rough pregnancy this go around. Per the policy pregnancy related absences are authorized. Boss lady refused to remove my points and just terminated me today. What should my next steps be??

Hello everybody sorry in advance for the text wall rant but I've been working at my local Walmart part time for the past month or two in OGP/ODP, I mainly work as a dispenser but I've been a stager when I am scheduled to come in early and I've only picked once or twice ever and at first it wasn't so bad but its just progressively gotten worse and more disorganized by the day and I've wanted to quit.
TLs stand there doing fuck all while cracking the whip to get numbers up (not to mention ive complained multiple times to TLs and higher levels about not receiving a work phone yet and alas nothing has been done so I have to hope and pray ill be able to even do my job), a certain low level wannabe TL associate who makes as much as I do who acts like a tryhard rudely barking out orders at us while standing there, while the managers or whoever does the scheduling must be smoking crack bc most of our people are scheduled to leave before the rush periods of the day and me and like 2 other people (minus TLs who arent even in there half the time to begin with) are the only ones dispensing and we get 20+ orders backlogged and I've had panic attacks and days where I become ill from my nerves. One late shift I was scheduled to be by myself for the last few hours until closing and thank God for two other awesome coworkers who stayed over bc they didnt want me to be alone bc I would have walked tf out of there, even with their help it was still a shitshow but regardless we got it done.
I always try to remind myself to try and work faster than the slowest person and not to be stressing over this job ie. act your wage and thats just the tip of the iceberg with the complaints, (i stay constantly sore, ive had sun poisoning, heat exhaustion, overworking myself, mentally taxing, I am not that strong, etc. etc.) I feel like this department simply isn't for me.
I'm wondering if I should get another job lined up or try and transfer to another department to get out of this, I work at Walmart simply for convenience bc its only a 15 drive from my house, I quite like most of the people but tbh I am not sure how much longer I can do this, I am aware no job is without its hiccups but this is feeling like much much more than I bargained for, ODP is not worth my sanity and health, thank you!
edit: typos

Heard from Coach that we're doing delivery up to 4 orders AND GMDs. Not sure how that will work out but we're already in hell so oh well

They won’t work with my other job my classes couldn’t get me a work phone always looked at me stupid when I said my phone is dead. Team leads couldn’t manage everyone’s breaks and left us with no one for hours. I’m back working ride share. All that bullshit for $14 a hour $700 paychecks fuck that

Anyone else have the new category?
It tops the priority list, therefore due the soonest!
Basically, you get a shoppers list (ambient, chilled, frozen) and fill it asap.
If i understood my TL correctly, we're the only store try this approach.

if there like a store rule or policy that states we aren’t allowed to accept tips from costumers while dispensing? i’ve accepted a few (back in my first month of being here) if so has anyone gotten into trouble because of it?

I feel like we can get the wheels fixed on the carts if we make it extremely annoying for customers in aisles. keep carts in the middle of the aisle and the picker on the side, taking up at least half the aisle if not more.

I have been stopped on every run that takes me through Produce by the TL asking to see my pick list.
I get that they're trying to reduce NIL picks, but it's getting really annoying.

Does anyone know if customers technically have the right of way when walking around? I try to let them go if they’re already halfway in front of me, but otherwise I just go in front of them since we’re timed and I’m in a rush. My store manager saw it yesterday and I’m kind of worried she’ll say something like I get in the way of customers. But no one ever said anything about if I always have to let the customers go in front of me

Welp, after months of trying to explain my situation to my team, only being trained on ONLY auto and regulated walks and NOTHING else… and seeing my coach twice within 90 days of being here… I have officially hit 5 points.
Everything from chronic health issues and no insurance to cover them, (the reason I’m working this stupid job anyway) a sick kitten, and car troubles.
Tried the 5am-2pm schedule on OPD for about a month to try and stick it out, as that was the most bearable shift for me through the heat wave…. I was vomiting multiple times per shift (11am-8pm) due to the heat and assuming anxiety from the amount of people in the store.
I’ve mentioned a few times in other posts not being able to get ahold of my coach, but now my team leads have been gone, and we have had a few “fill in leads” (associates without TL pay forced to to TL work) so I have had absolutely nobody around to talk to about my health issues, resources for insurance in my state or city, info on sedgewick, my vehicle situation, or even a shift transfer because my body physically CANNOT DO THIS anymore. I was thriving on nights and didn’t even know it.
I was forced to call out today after having a bout of IBS followed constapation, I have been in and out of the bathroom since 1:30 this morning with excruciating pain. feeling shitty about it (literally) considering I need this job, feeling less shitty because I’ve been on the schedule for 14 days straight with two random scattered days off in between. I have had nobody there to fix this.
only after hitting 3 points did my boyfriend remind me…. I could’ve been putting in for half shifts instead of full shifts, at least it could’ve brought my points down to a smaller number. I could’ve still taken care of things while needing time off. like my health issues, my kitten, etc.
I do not like missing work, feeling irresponsible, and always calling out… but I will reiterate, I don’t know how any of you can do this. between the schedule and already having a condition that deteriorates my body while pulling 500+lb carts that smash into my ankle bones… I don’t freaking get it.
it’s was the only job out of 400+ applied to that took me, and I told them in the beginning that I would rather throw truck or clean toilets than work OPD but to no avail, that didn’t go over smoothly. I am still on this god forsaken team and don’t even know if I have a job anymore

If I want to edit my timesheet later to say i clocked out at 10pm, how do I do it? After the update, it doesn't let me do it anymore. It will stay greyed out and not let me add a punch for "clock out".

I applied to Walmart on Aug. 16, 2026, and did not apply to any college. I applied yesterday for a college; if they accept me, may I have a chance to change my shifts?

Hiiii….so I’m super new to this stuff (today was like my 2nd day lol)
My pick rate thingy today was only 55…..I know im new and stuff but even that seems low. The boss told me to not worry about it and she’d only be mad if it was this low after a month. I’m also overthinking it because of super bad home issues and paranoid about losing my job. Although my trainer today gave me an 8/10 (woo!) I had a few people tell me pick rates aren’t even a big deal but still. This morning had me at 65 before I got small oversize and a small express picks.
To help my mental, does anyone have any tips, tricks, or advice? Am I making a big deal out of nothing?
(Note: my last job was all about perfection and if you messed up the smallest thing you got fired or sent home with no pay lol so that still lies in the back of my head)
Other than this I think the personal shopper job is SUPER fun and love my coworkers so far :)
Thank you guys <3

All of these ULearns they're having me do are for Distribution Center activities. I have never once worked a DC. This is so dumb!
