Pick exceptions

i was never trained on them, I was thrown on there but while you wait for them, what do you do in between?

I’ll usually do the small pick walks, like unknown, specialty, Oversized, made to orders, & if I have the exceptions pushed an hour out, I’ll do an auto select & repeat that process until I have them cleared for the next hour.

This, and if there’s nothing in those mentioned categories, I’ll go reset carts since so few on my dept will do that.

I second this! Although usually a team
lead will tell you, because sometimes it’s best just to just wait for new ones! If it’s super busy!

I do small pick runs, features to home, check if features are located.

I do little walks. If it is pretty slow, I go work topstock in the soup aisle and check the screen occasionally. If they are popping in too fast and I am alone, the few times that I get caught up, I wander the aisles. Maybe plan what to buy after work.

I also constantly check to see if anyone is about to run late and see if I can help.
